The other important factor i considered was having fun. i dont play games to work, i play them to have fun. i got this jedi character so i could hang out with my guild mates and have a good time. maybe show off a little and use force powers for good in game. doing the cookie cutter template was a consideration for me but in the end i just couldnt parse it. i had to have some skills that would be enjoyable and i wanted to be flexable.
lastlyi do not plan to play in the FRS cause it is counter productive to the GCW and unfair to other players to be forced to be content for me. so here it is... my template:
Master Saber: The Lightsaber is my only weapon, and the only thing standing between me and the clone center. i want to be the best with sabers that i can possibly be.
Healer 4004: For obivouse reasons i want to be able to heal my ham damage as well as clear all dots and states
Enhancer 4000: Enhancer is a cool sounding tree packed with skilsl that dont work well. However force run is a great and useful power and the perfect escape plan if u get overwhelmed.
Defender 4000:I take the melee defense line for now so i can have some amount of defenses here and not toally be raped by animals and mobs.
Powers 0040: This is a cool line to get since u get an attacking power and defending power in one line. intimidate though is really important to jedi. we dont get armor but an intimidate can cut damage in half for us. to me this is very important.

However this opinion comes from paper analysis. So basically im asking you to tell me how it works. IF if works and you have fun, then you did the right thing. If it doesnt work and causes you not to have fun then you did the wrong thing. Basically you need the equation to come out that its fun and was the right move. Since you do not play in the FRS then I'd say your template is quite right. That way you can have fun with your jedi and not have to worry about the xp loss.
i wish i did. this week im plowing thru master saber. after that ill finish this template. rightnow my template is more like:
4444 saber
2204 enhancer
2004 healer
1000 defender
0000 power
and this sucks so far. especially all the work i put into enhancer to learn its nearly useless. force shield doesnt work on npcs, force armor sucks up too much of my force which i need to heal and attack, channel force is nice tillyou hit about 4000 force power then the trade off of 1000 ham for 500 force because cost prohibitive. force meditate is a joke. oh well, some lessons are harder learned then others.
as soon as i finish my new template ill post in this thread and let you know how it goes.
side note: im also tossing the crappy robe and using a new custom jedi-lookalike robe that gives me +12 melee defense and a lightwieght backpack so i can boost my melee. as soon as i pass +60 melee defense i expect ill see some results.
also im putting my remaing 5 points into the force sensitive trees ![]()
