Oh, then they'll come back to the forums and call the devs every name in the book. I predict not a single positive post on the Jedi forums for at least 3 months.

none of this sounds bad....... just have the Devs fix the saber speed and then watch the Bh forums explode with anger!

Seriously Barb, I'm not sure how well you are going to do with zero defense and the new SL buffs. They claimed to have fixed the problem.......well one fix still left Sniper shot hitting my Master Defender with Aura up for 2900 damage. BH's are amusing distractions until they get 1-2 hit incaps. We truely don't know what's going to happen until this hits live.

not really, master powers against the mcm bhs are deadly.




There aren't many on our server, but for the occasional powers-uber ls, send 2 BHs then.

Isn't that kinda how its should be? One particular Jedi Template agains a Particular BH Template gives the Jedi an advantage, but that same Jedi Template versus another BH Template is not as effective and give the other BH Template the advantage. As long as any one given Template of BH/Jedi has a weakness against against a template of the opponent, and is strong against others, there is no "UBER" FOTM that everyone will flock to. The snare/root changes will make a MBH/Carbineer combo far more effective, so as long as a set of Jedi skills provide some level of counter then some Jedi will be afraid of the Carbineer while others will not. Some will be watchful of MBH/CM combos and others will scoff at such a template.


At least to me, thta seems closer to balance than 1 or 2 effective Jedi templates and BH Templates.

They will hit you with stasis, and THEN run.... stasis lasts longer than snare, so they will still get away. Jedi need SOME mechanism to get away, I'm guessing that will be it. Until the community complains enough to get stasis taken away. Then it will be KD and root, which when applied properly, sticks you to the ground for the duration of the root. That is, until the community complains enough about that one, then..... I'm not sure. I guess the same thing any non-jedi will do: KD, and burstrun.

The sad part is, you and many others actually believe that statement.


People keep talking about Risk vs Reward and how it sucks to be a Jedi. People are lining up to be a Jedi, the servers are flooded with them. This would NOT happen if you didn't have overpowering abilities like the choice to leave a fight. Along with those extra abilities you get XP loss, if and ONLY if you are killed by a BH. Which can ONLY take your mission if you choose to show your saber to NPC's and non-grouped players putting yourself on the terms.


The slightest bit of danger (which, btw is supposed to be part of the fun of an alpha class like Jedi) and people freak out. If you don't have the stomach to play a Jedi, then don't.


I personally know several Jedi, about half of which leveled under the village system and the other half leveled under the saber tef and skill loss days and even THEY think running from a fight is for those that don't have the fortitude to be a Jedi. And most of them would like to see saber tef's returned along with either permadeath after 3 kills or skill loss returned.


You really just don't know how easy it is to be a Jedi these days, it's crazy. And still people complain about it being hard.


If being a Jedi under the current system is to hard for you, then don't be one.










There is still risk of engaging PVP with you lamers and griefers but you still talking about Reward?


Most idiotic BH defense to everything.

Just be prepared for 1500-2000+ hits from jedi that are grouped with squad leaders when you go after them. they wont need to run after publish 24 squad leader goes in unless you have squad leader buffs



Blaze of glory has been nerfed to give only a 25% Damage increase. Also getting reports that is does not work with advanced sniper shot. Personally I liked the squad leader changes as was. I have an alt I was going to make a MSL and keep him in theed to give my jedi buffs, My Jedi is in theed 90% of the time. I would destroy any BH with thoes buffs. Sure the BH can hit for 2k plus but chances are hes not gonna incap me in 1 shot with my temp.

I will snare and KD your butt right as the snare you applied to me runs out and run for the hills And don't you think I wont be in range to do it either, force supression has that covered New tractics will emerge as the game is changed.

what kinda range dose force supression have? I thought all force powers have 35m range. Was I misinformed?

Why do people keep saying perma snare? The change is suppose to have a snare return you to a normal run while it is in action, if you have a speed enhancing ability active. When the snare drops the speed enhancement will again work if the duration is not up.


As others have said stasis is active a long time,I believe longerthan Smuggler's imp concussion shot(40secs) which is also a daze. If a Jedi KDs then hits you with stasis your butt is laying there for a good 40+ secs or til you take damage.

It's kind of funny I look on the Jedi board and they complain that they have it so bad, and then I go to the BH boards and I hear the same thing. There is good and bad in both. I am a Jedi and I do have to say the Jediwine more, the BH may complain but they accept things more too. Good for you BH, you seem to adapt better than the jedi.
