First Boss for me

36k HAM

Armor- 7133 energy resist RIS
Weapon- E11 Mark 11 min/max dmg 703-12** pupped , attack speed 1, sac 73
Temp- MBH/MCARB MCM xxx4

They are tough got it down to about 1/4 health after about 10-15 minutes of pounding it with everything I had while popping Booster blue, spiced tea, blobbed candy, syn steak, exo protein, det pyro and a med droid all in all i ran out of mind from healing and that was it ended up in the cloner :/ , Round 2 same foods rebel base close by he aggroed the reb npcs and we took him down lol.

32k ham boss
Changed temp to BH/MCARB MCM 4xxx and it was much easier to keep up with the heals and dish out damage Havent had probs since.

I love the new difficulty of these new bosses with there root and kd while low action etc makes it fun.

I haven't really played in like a month but I logged in last night thinking it was time for the expansion but i was wrong. So i tried some bh missions. I fought some regular 17k marks and I noticed they were a lot tougher but still nothing to cry about. I started realizing I would need some more foods and I would need to start rethinking my tactics a little bit. Not a big deal, but then I came across my first gold boss mark of 33k ham that night. Sure my armor was kind of old and crappy so that was one against me but my weapon is a Heavy Lighting Rifle with max damage 700 too 1100 (roughly) sac in the low 80's and speed around 2. I'm master BH master CM and working my way back to Rifles 1xxx. I jumped into the fight to see what would happen and BAM I was in the clonmer in 2 seconds and I'm not joking.

So a buddy of mine came out to heal me while i fought again. I had duelist stance running and threw all my combat medic things at him and blasted the hell out of him and he stayed at 3/4 health for 45 min. He was hitting me three times for every one of my hits. What I mean is that I would nail him and he would hit me three times for almost 1k each time before my attack timer was done and in that time he gained most of his health back and never once lost any action. We called in another MBH/MCM to help. he came in overt and agrod the mark and we killed him but it still took us another 20 min. I got a crystsal and some bugs.

I know part of it was my crappy armor and i ran out of my usual foods during the fight and only had one drink left and eventually filled up on it. I did notice that even when he was KD'd he would still hit me three times every 2 seconds which is just rediculous. The most damage I did to him was about 650 and he didn't even seem to be using armor. He was using ranged and melee attacks and it seemed he was using the skills from 6 master professions.

Giving any npc unlimted regen and unlimited action is just plain stupid. I'm afraid to even try going out to the village on Dathomir after what CTDan from bloddfin (I think it was him) posted in Teamspeak last night. he got hit by a rancor while traveling on Dath and posted the combat log on imagedump (Hopefully he'll post it on these forums for others to see). The rancor hit him (and this is NO joke) for over 210k of damge. The whole TS server erupted in pretty much one big "HOLT $H!T!!!!!!" We started joking that it was CSR Timothy-V playing a rancor and messing with him lol.

I like tougher npc's but god mode npc's are ridiculous. They should just save us the time of fighting it and just make us all clone the second we log in lol. Not sure what I'm going to do if I get a chance to log in tonight

I am a MBH/MCH, and quite simply put I need the regen and armorbuff gone. Otherwise I am 100 percent barred from this content. Its not just the double gold 82s I fought a double gold 78 this morning once again my pet was totally ineffective against my enemy. I had to call a doctor in to keep me up and totally forgo useing my pet for anything but applying imperilling feint. Needless to say still took 10 minutes.

I am all for the new AI and strategy thats fun although a tad cheap. Why oh why do we need these regens and armor buffs. I could barely handle the gold level 82s before now I cant even touch a double gold 78. With this advent its become entirely clear to me now that I am totally busted and destroyed as a profession. The loot seems all bottled up in the boss marks. So here it is in a nutshell.

I have had my content content I am spending skill points on taken from me. I am no longer able to do bounty missions and get rewards for doing it. I am also quote as the devs have said more of a pve template and I cant pve against targets that are supposed to be solo.

I'm just thinking there has to be some silver lining here..some kind of hidden agenda the devs had in mind when implementing this...Whether to make mastering a prof take longer, slow down the loot rates, or make Jedi hunting more popular again, I just don't see a real, clear, or good reason why they'd make all npc's this frickin' hard...

I'm not going to complain about it, because if they keep it, we'll all eventually adapt, but I saw nothing inherently "wrong" with the way npc's were fighting before..

You are assuming they have a clue.

Its nothing more then a miscalculation of Regen rates on their part, this will be fixed as soon as our Correspondent gets enough info to show the Devs they screwed up.

I agree. But they need to adress the "Super" templates these npc's are using too I think. If the regen rates were normal for npc's i think i could handle the new tougher boss marks, it would just take longer. After an hour of fighting me my boss mark never once lost any action which is ridiculous, even the best fighter would get tired, know what i mean. I think the devs just got tired of hearing people bad mouth them all the time and decided "Fine here ya go have fun hahaha"

What I'm picking up from the different threads and my own experiences is that on SOME of the mobs, the regen rate is bugged. I didn't have time to run more than 1 mission before I logged, but the mark was a boss. His regen rate was about the same as it was pre-24, but used a TON of tactics that made the fight a blast. Pre-24, we've all ran into mobs that would have bugged damage (hitting for 1-15 pts) and most just chalked it up to skill or equipment...not realizing that the shot was only for around 100pts before armor. I believe the same is occuring here, except now some of the mobs are getting a higher regen than others. The only way that I can think of demonstrating this to a CSR is to go back to the god-like mob after you get sent to the cloner and have a csr join you there. Have them examine your equipment thenask them to watch the fight. Take screenshots of your combat log and equipment as well as your current buffs to send in. With an eye-witness and screenshots,it should help them get the point. That's just my 2 cents and I plan on doing it if I come across one of these invulnerable mobs. I also recommend doing it for the mobs that hit as hard as the mos eisley noob factory. With those, you can contact a csr andbasically stand there taking damagewithout anything to worry about until the csr shows up.

ive run 6 missions since pub. 3 lvl 81(2 double chevron), 2 lvl 82, 1 lvl82 double chev with 34k ham

it seems as though *our* regen rate is bugged, even after the fight my health takes forever to recover. i did win all 6 battles, the lvl82 double chev 34k was a **edit**! probably the longest and toughest bounty ive ever fought, lucky for me he kept missing up close wih his blad when he would root me, if not for that i would have died.

as for loot... he gave me a reactive microplating and mando intraframe... not worth his "difficulty" at all. the others at least gave a CA, AA or BH schem, only one that just gave smug tools and bugs out of the 6.

Template: CL80, MBH, M Pistols, Medic 0020 (plus a load of irrelevant crafter stuff )

Buffs: none

Clothing: +19 healing efficiency shirt

Armour: 5 piece Mabari, 5k Kinetic, 7k Energy, 6k Base

PSG: 2403 Energy

Weapon: FWG5 which is approx 1.75 spd, 611-1070 damage, SAC 75

Food: Blob candy, Bofa treats, Crispic, Booster Blue

I have fought 4 marks since CU, 2 normal marks and 2 Boss marks.

The Boss marks both hit for about 100-200, and both kept attempting to run into melee range. If they did, they always used armour break and then hit for 400-500 damage. Their regen was much higher than usual, but not a problem for me as I consistantly hit for between 700-1200 damage depending on special used.

Conclusion: slightly harder than pre CU, but nothing that I couldn't handle easily.

Here is a cut and paste from my post on the Pub 24 discussion thread.

Brilliant patch SOE. Yeah, check the sarcasm meter... Its pegged.

So I'm a MBH/MRifles/4000 CM. Flavor of the month yeah, but it works and works well.

I have a VERY nice HLR. Max'd dam, 85 SAC, +65 accuracy, speed sliced. I use full enhancers. Fully buffed. Nice BH armor. Its not the best but is6k +prot. I'm also capped (+25s) on gen ranged and rifle accuracy.I head out today for my mark... It was a level 81, 34k gold arrow boss mark. Now I recognise that these are supposed to be a challenge... But this is rediculous.

It takes me over 30 minutes to kill him. And this is with a cm and a jedi, who just happened to be nearby, healing me during the battle so I can just focus on doing dmg. I would miss my target 2 out of every 3 shots. When I would hit, I would do 1k dmg and by the time I hit again, he would regen over 900 health. Often I would be in battle for 5 minutes and lose ground because of their rediculously fast regen.

During the battle myhelmet took 12k condition loss, chest plate 8k, and pants 11k. As a thank you I tipped the 30k to the cm for his heals. And my reward.... a jar of foraged bugs. I am not doing BH marks so I can lose credits!

Great job there SOE. You took a great idea... Improving the AI... and totally over did it. Have you ever heard ofmoderation? Does your car just have a switch for full gas/full brakes?

Every publish makes the population of SW cringe... Because you dont fully think out and plan your idea. Your designer should be fired. Its obvious he doesn't actually play the game orelse he would see how he is dramatically effecting the state of the game. Next time maybebring in a group of 8 or 9 year olds and see if they can plan something for you. They will likely do a better job.

Well here goes... I ran about oh I dunno around 100 BH missions since pub 24 went live. I had about 6 boss fights managed to kill said mob on 5 out of 6. The one i didnt manage to kill well i got him down to about 25k at which point I was doing the same damage but his regen was way higher.

Now the boss fights I did manage to win where in the most part not worth it simply because your armor takes massive amounts of decay. Since its bound to happen that some people will say the 30k HAM marks are impossible or it has already been said here a screen from my last one (screenshot took at 3k mob health left. It took me another 7 min to kill him after that simply cuz it seemed his regen went up again and I ran outa Deuterium Pryo. This one 81 not that it matters to much... Also had some boss marks at 82 with 17k HAM...

Here the screeny: http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=setandget&tp=331226&poll_id=0&category_id=20&warned=y
