SamousNemo,

This is pretty much what i posted in another thread on this topic. I'm a veteran BH, since launch, MBH/MP 4xxx CM. I have a triple capped Scatter with SAC pup's, good armour & PSG.

The boss marks, with double gold chevrons, and 34k/35k HAM have regen rates beyond my ability to hurt them. The few i fought hit me between upper 700's & 1300+. The only way i was able to defeat 2 of them was that they aggro'd other mob's in the area, the 3rd i had to parwan away from. With them having such high regen rates i was totally unable to damage them past their regeneration rates.

I was using Garmorrl, Kiwick Swirl, Pica Thundercloud, Crispic & Booster Blue.

BTW, the one i ran from, i'd been fighting for almost 15 mins and had his health down by about 10% (he had 90% left), i've killed jedi easier than the new boss marks.

I faced a few of the boss marks last night, as someone said earlier it's their regen rates thats the problem. I did find it awkward that some of them were hittin me for 1300+, but that i can deal with, just about

Their regen rates are insane & need lowering to conventional standards, same as a normal players with buffs. Would be nice if we could see their armour too, i fought one boss mark who was apparently wearing a robe but when i hit him his 'armour' stopped almost 50% of my damage

There are reports circulating the forums regarding the new difficulty of the NPC "Boss Marks" since Publish 24 has gone Live. The main issue seems to be that the NPCs are regenerating health faster than damage can be dealt

I have not had the chance to run an NPC bounty since Pub 24 myself, so I cannot confirm or deny these reports (I will be running some tomorrow). What I am saying is that I need lots of feedback from any Bounty Hunters who have run a lot of NPC bounties since Pub 24 has gone Live

In your feedback, please include info such as what are the stats of your equipment, what your build is, what is the max health of your target, what buffs you had, what debuffs you used, etc etc. In other words, include anything you or your mark did that you feel influenced the fight.

Please do not post things like "My mark was too tough. Fix them" or "You don't how to hunt. Don't fix the marks." Be as specific and to the point as possible

Let's keep the attitude of this thread positive

Erm LOL. (don t say real life blabla i know i have one too just found that amusing sorry lol)

Well they regen way too faster that you can damage. Same problem with some other creatures as well not only boss marks.

i've done about 8 bh npc missions since pub 24. 2 were the double gold chevron boss marks (one with 35k ham, one with 17k ham so maybe he doesn't count as a boss despite his double gold doo-dahs).

the 35k ham guy i killed in about12 mins, the 17k ham guy in about8 mins. the former dropped a bh schem, a white crystal, a stack of 6 enhanced power cells and a piece of that reactive micro plating stuff, the latter dropped a mando intraframe thing.

my temp is mbh/mcm/carbs x4xx.

i have energy resist 7k a/b sliced ris armour with a total +150 health enhance (from helmet, chest and leggings)and my full suit of clothes and armour is more or less capped for gnl ranged speed, gnl ranged acc, rifle speed, rifle acc, carbine speed and pistol speed.

i ate/drank bofa treat, blob candy, vagnerian canape, thundercloud, spiced teaand i used a combat/medic droid.

i used a close-to-cap hlr with speed slice and damage pup and close-to-cap fwg with speed slice and damage pup.

i also used debuff and poison/fire enhancers.

have to admit i was rather surprised when my first (non boss)npc mark after pub 24 repeatedly rooted and kd'd me and ran in for some very nasty melee attacks, but i got my snare out (mcm snarerather than the carb snare) and kept him at arm's length long enough to kill him.

i may have been lucky (and i was definitely lucky with the nice loot), but nevertheless can we at least can the 'all boss marks are impossible' cries?

if i do come across a boss that i can't put a dent in, i think i'll drop the mission and get another rather than wasting a couple of hours trying to kill him or coming onto the forums to complain about it. if i can't kill some of the npc marks i draw, then i just can't. i don't (and i think shouldn't) expect to be able to kill everything i come across in the game. even though these are bh npc marks, i'm guessing that not all bounty hunters succeed in killing their marks every time.

it's not even as if i have to kill a big bad boss to get great loot - as we all know it's random and i've had just as good stuff from cl 80 and 81 marks as i have from cl 82 npcs (the previous 5 or 6 double gold boss guys i killedwere all carrying delicious foraged grubs and the decent stuff was coming from non boss marks).

and if they've changed it and it's only the boss marks that now drop the nice loot, then some will be killable and i guess some won't and our insane superloot rate will slow down. not the end of the world.

My build is

Master Rifles
Master Bounty
Combat Medic 4xxx

Target - Oli-Felish
Health - 36,347

Buffs used

Booster Blue
Breath of Heaven
All Doctor Buffs

Forgot the names of these foods

Melee Defence food +120<-- ill explain why later
Mitigation food +41
Randged acc food +240

My rifle

Hevy Lightning
damage 523-1144
Elemental 40
Sac 73 with sac pup
Mod DPS - 988.17

Armor #1 8k+ Energy Resist Ubese Armor Break
Armor #2 7256 Kenetic Resist Comp <--- now used more will explain
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These Elite marks CAN be beaten is it worth the risk for a jar of bug NO! I had about 3 elites and the one im listing is cause i actually beat him.

After fighting the first 2 elite marks i noticed that our marks will drop to a melee attack instead of ranged now. For this reason i now treat every mark like its a Jedi Master.

As i listed above i used melee defence buffs due to the fact they use Knock Down on me then charge me with god like speed and switch to melee they use armor break then goto town like a jedi would. For this reason i got a suite of Assult comp armor to help in this as well. This mark was over 35k health but one thing i noticed was there action and mind now DROP. For this reason i treat the NPC as i would a jedi i kite them for about 10 mins healing when needed and run off hitting escape when needed as well hahahaha. Before I never had to run from a mark. After about 30-40 mins of this process i was able to slowly defeat my mark. I was relieved and felt proud to get my well deserved drop. I shoulda known better... got a Jar Of Bugs???? Now im all for harder missions if it means we actually are garunteed something! Risk is far from reward. Anyways back on topic about the health regen faster than i can hit him. I found a way to stop the regen. Engage in combat with the target stay as long as you can and hit him as hard as you can. Once root wears off and your able to run DO SO! Run as fast as u can hitting that escape button. Regen yourself buff up again and pick up the fight this time it seems his health regen slows DRAMATICALY to the point of berely being able to pick up with the last shot and damage still be on his ham. with this you could be able to kill him.

Im not bragging about this im sure it was a fluke! Im positive it was a fluke cause my other marks did not have this effect.

As i stated i am for "HARDER" mission when 1. Risk = Reward 2. We can actually have a chance. 3. when NPCS stick to one profession.

I'm mbh/mcm/0400carbines

5500 or so battle armor

948 max dam sacatter 1.2 spd 67 sac

used all doc buff cept for speed because it wore off, used vercrupti, kiwik, spice

The regular 18-20k single chev marks were about the same. They did use specials and probably did at most 100 more dmg then the used to pre pub 24. so about 100-350 or so dmg on average

The one 34k ham double gold chev " boss mark" would hit for between 250-1200 a hit very very fast. With mcm I could get him down to about 1/4th ham and he killed be because I ran out of mind. And those marks should just be like us have masteries not all masteries, could go from using armor break melee , to being awsome ranged. I like a challenge but the whole point of doing these npc marks is that I could always win for the most part.

IMO keep the 18-20k ham guys the same they were still pretty easy but the double gold's change the regen, and make them use action and mind for as fast as ther action and health regen or dont even drop for that matter.

Listen... there are two situation that happen.

1. Is where the 32k boss mark has an insane regen rate but does no damage, making the mission hard because it takes forever.

2. Is where the 32k boss mark as an insane regen rater but also does insane damage, making it impossible to solo.

I have had both missions and I'm just wondering if its a bug, the first type I didnt have to heal once because he was hitting me for absolutely no damage.

Master BH, Master Pistoleer, ranged Combat Medic tree

Full doc buff

spice, blob, kanali, vegesparine, and crispics

FWG Sliced/pupd to 1060

Assualt armor 7k kin

Pulled a 32k ham double barred mark last nite. Went toe to toe with him for the melee onslaught. Had stance on and was getting hit on avg 400-900 dmg. Between heals and trying to put dmg on him I forseen the outcome of the battle so I ran. The mark was only 6m from where I landed at the sp on Dathomir so I called upon the assistance of 2 friends. Master BH/Master Rifleman came to help and another template like mine. Me and the rifleman put the pounding oh him whilst my other friend kept us healed. Was still a tough fight, but the payoff was worth it.

My friends and I are starting to group up to defeat the boss marks. We run solo missions til one shows up, then we converge on him. Whoever had the missionkeeps the loot. Makes the time go by good too driving to the mark with good conversation. "IF" they are supposed to be soloable by BH's... I dont think I will be able to. Not sure yet.... thinkin of grinding back MBH/MCH to give it another try.

Let me start off with, I didnt read all the post, but from what I saw, I didnt see anyone mentioning this tactic which is basic and Im sure Im not the most experienced BH at all but. Try to lure the mark into fighting you the way you want him to. My mark was hitting me for just under 500 each shot via range, I brought him in close (melee strikes) and dropped it down to 88 per. Took for ever to take out his health, even with my HLR (650-1300)dmg -hitting for 680 per, but it worked.

If this stepped on someones toes from a previous post, my appologies....

Only had one encounter with a Mark after Pub-24...

He was a Level 75 Boss Mark, two gold Chevs indicated his Boss Status!

- Master Bounty Hunter, Master Pistoleer, Smuggler 4000

- Capped on Pistol Accuracy, Speed and General Ranged Accuracy and almost Speed (also capped on Ranged Defence)

- Equipped with my basic Armor... Mandalorian Helmet 6.1k Energy, 5.8k Kinetic, 6k Base using Composite Chestplate, Biceps and Bracers at 5.9k Energy, 6.9k Kinetic, 5.9k Base and no Leggings! Nothing of it is sliced yet and the Composite is just temerary while im getting some custom stuff set up...

- Featherweight FWG, 966 Max Damage, 54 SAC (PowerUp), 1.0 Moded Speed (Level 3 Critical Hit, level 2 Speed Slice)

- Running Duelist Stance Macro, only macro i normally use!

- Popped a Blob Candy along with having all 4 Doc Buffs and used Pyro (+120 Accuracy for 1min39sec)

MARK:

I started off with a KD, then let damage roll. CriticalShot, TorsoShot, BodyShot, then WarningShot followed by ConfusionShot leaving a Stun for once

He tryed to go Melee on me but i rooted before he got to close. Kited him most of the time and the mark never sat foot closer then 10-15m of me before he was dead

Only had to use one StimD (1.3k heals) but i kept this one mostly busy with DisarmingShot, ConcussionShot and Knocked Down!

Yet to experience one of thise "kickass" Bosses.
