Try and think of it more like this, not in terms of anywhere near griefing, if people focused on knights than everyone trying to get to knights would have very little obstacles in there way (what like grinding xp aloneis an obstacle??? not anymore and people know it).This makes half bloody server jedi knights (exageration yes). So when BHs attack non knights guess what they are doing? Population control. Guess why BHs are in this game. Population control.

Griefing would only come into play if you repeatedly attacked the same mark, thats griefing and although i hear its not bannable i dont think thats right

Haha. That movie has transcended games. Brilliant.

I may not be the most experienced SWG player in the world. But I do know somethings about Star Wars and MMOs.

In my perspective, many many people I talked to picked their professions due to influences from the movies. (Not all of them, but a lot it seems)

It influenced people to want to become Jedi's. Or Smuggler. Or someone found creating a driod retailer empire appealing. And many find Boba Fett to be one of, if not the coolest character in the Star Wars universe. Therefore, you find a lot of people wanting to be Bounty Hunters. It just so happened the game was developed that Bounty Hunters would hunt Jedi.

If you think someone rolled a BH because they though "Woo! Who can I grief today and make their e-life miserable", you should probalby rethink that. There might be a few who gets kicks out of "griefing", however you want to describe it. But I think it is safe to say that most people are fulfilling a role. And playing their chosen profession, just as aspiring Jedi's are playing theirs.

two words master defender. unless you pretty much stumble across a master defender laying on their back incapped or engaged and severaly damaged inpve or pvp like factional play or dueling, assuming they are not afk you may get lucky. Otherwise you have next to zerochance to defeata fully healed, alert, force charged, master defender. Of course theymay also not be able to kill (the real joke of jedi) you butyou are extremely unlikely to kill them.

however much rebalancing will still be done aside, full template jedi according to the devs at fanfest were designed to be about 1.5 times more powerful than a full skill points spent double elite player. This means unless you are very good, doped up on food and drugs, phenomenal weaponry, AND lucky you are very unlikely to engange and successfullywalk awayhaving killed a 210K or higher jedi SOLO.

this is #1 reason why BH go for lower levelmissions. on the other hand it's also why some ofthe bestcontent in the game is a gank squad targeting only full template jedi.

for the record (I saw a post or two on this inaccuracy) there is no FRS system right now .. so beyond titles of knight, gaurdian, enforcer, master etc ... there are noother benefits. Before it was disabled frs level would play a huge role in turning the tide in abattle essentially seperating the knight or master from the just full template jedi.primarily it meant more force to use for all those precious specials, buffs, debuffs, and saves.

I hunt whatever Jedi I can find that is not on KASH and online. I am a MBH and need to money to fuel my need to get better armour\weapons\new ship. I have killed Jedi on Kash before but it is a complete pain and tedious. So If you are online you are a target. Nothing to do with cowardice just business.

hmm first things first.. i never hunt mark below 140k (i do if they r afk grinders)but its almost the same to hunt knights as full temp paddys only dif is the fact that knights has a bit more force!!!

The XP loss is just the icing on the cake.

XP loss is the reason BHs are given Jedi missions. XP loss from BHs is what perma-death and saber tefs have been watered down to, and that watering down is why servers are overrun with Jedi.

I challenge the Devs to go into a server during prime time and go to a major starport and say that the checks and balances are working as intended. Run a census on the servers and see how many Jedi there are out there.

I pick my marks based on Jedi I see showing off in front of starports. I'm not good yet, so the one that stood and fought (a 226k) killed me. I'll adjust my template and tactics and do better next time, but when I saw that the Jedi party had moved elsewhere I was satisfied.

No decay + uber loot = /spit on crafters

Fix the economy and give crafters their $$$ worth... give us real revamp.

Remember... to Cancel you have to go to Register Expansion in the Launchpad.
