Demanding money to not kill the jedi could easily be viewed as harrassment...I would advise you not to keep doing that...if enough people report you you could get perma-banned.

I always thought BHes were hired killers...not blackmailers.

Took a pay off today cancelled the mission immediately and walked away. As soon as I walked away I got the "A.N.Other has challenged you to a duel". "A.N.Other has cancelled the duel". LOL

read the agreement before the game, if any deals are offered and accepted by both parties, it is fruad, a bannable offence, forget honour etc, is it worth being banned for?

I remember on one of the servers back when group hunting was still possible, they had a BH mafia that actually forced people to pay them weekly to not hunt them... I'm not sure exactly how successful they were... but I think that it's kind of humorous that people actually did let it get that far.

You think Jabba would hesitate to but a bounty on YOUR head if you took a payoff from a mark he hired you to wax? Hell no..your a$$ would get hunted down because of your sense of 'honor' by people more inspired to skin you than you were to skin your mark.

No, you were hired to do a job..finish it. If you want to play the 'honorable' BH, then skip the payoff and kill the mark. If you want to be Jabba's kind of scum (a BHs BH) then take the payoff then kill the mark anyway (make some money on the side)

As far as the rep..you WANT a rep!! as a bad a$$ that people will not mess around with. If you take payoffs and let Jedi run, then they will not respect you as a serious hunter, and not fear you as they should.

you think Jango Fett was cloned as the base for the CLone Troopers because he took payoffs from marks and screwed his employers? hell no. He was chosen because he was reliable and methodical, and finished his jobs.

I'm sorry but that is hilarious. OMG there goes Mr. BH I better run and hide because he might try extort money out of me and kill me any way!Seriously...do any of you walk around in fear of another player? I sure don't.

I am telling you that this debate has already been had. And the CSRs have made it clear in the past that they can take action for what is deemed as trade fraud. They won't buy the RPing excuse in this case.

It figures. Magic-Show you would do best to not listen to Compton.

Obviously you didn't read the post before that where I warned that it may give him and bad rep and that I have never done such a thing, you troll!

I feel like some Jedi deserve it. I came upon a low level paddy who I gave the option to pay out his bounty so he wouldn't lose the xp. He said, "Ok." Then booked it into his house."I never pay off BHs!" is what he told me. An hour later he was DBed at my feet.

I don't

LOL! One day I hope you take my mission. I really do.

If your a RolePlayer than I guess you wonld not take pay offs but i try to respect my fellow player so A payoff rewards me and no hurt for them I don't really care as long as i get my moeny i'm a happy BH OOC but when i RP no Payoffs

Some things to remember here:

1) You do not ask for any money or reply to tells/messages, Jedi or friendstip you credits anyway to try and buy you off. You keep money, mission and kill the Jedi anyway - this is not punishable, you did not agree to anything and never asked for anything. It was there own free will to tip you, and their own fault for thinking you would actually accept a bribe.

2) You solicitcredits to drop a mission, and do so aftercredits arrive- grounds for harassment, will it be enforced if reported, doubtful.

3) You made an offer to the jedi which was acceptedand take the credits and keep mission- accepting credits for anything agreed upon, then not fulfilling the agreement is considered trade fraud by the CSR's. It is a bannable offense, you will likely get a warning on your account for first offense after that you put your account at risk.

4) You accept credits to drop a mission, then wait a while and attack them again without dropping mission. You say that you got their mission again after the fight. If they don't believe you and report you, the CSR's can check your log to see if you really got their mission back to back. If you lied, again refer to number 2 but you will probably be banned even if it your first offense.

5) On top of risking your account, you also begin to get a reputation for being a shady individual. You will notice that Jedi tend to have many contacts and friends. If you keep doing this you will begin to notice that people will ignore you more and more, and you should not expect much help when you need it.

In the end is it really worth that extra 225k, to some yesbutto many no. Personally I remove the temptation -I get the mission, find the Jedi, add them to my ignore list, and either kill them or die trying. I have tunnel vision - I do what I need to do to and pay no attention to anything or anyone other than my target. I know that way I can never get accused of harassment by any CSR's, just following the orders given to me by the terminal. It is your choice as to what to do and what kind of community member you want to be, you pay the monthly fee to play the gamenot anyone else.

Well, I left Dec. 3rd and like I promised I came back to give you another chance.
So Sony, impress me with the new system - not good enough, back to WoW 3/06 !
I am back again 3 months later giving you 1 last chance.
Looks like I will be staying, keep up your hard work.

if you scroll down and find a post labeled Craziest Hunt on Wanderhome and read it and see the pictures, it shows a fight with me and 2 others who got the same bounty mission. He ran to the water and one of the guys asked a CSR if this was viable. CSR said yes. He asked can i ask for money and drop the mission. CSR said yes. If he would have continued the mission after the Jedi payed him off tho, CSR said that is illegal. It would indeed be considered a violation and youll either get a warning or banned. Word to the wise. If you get a money/bribe pay out, just drop the mission, unless a measly 200k is worth that much. you can make that much money grinding in space for an hour.

Sorry, but if you're a BH's that hunt Jedi purely for credits you're an idiot. There's many other ways to make credits faster and more efficiently then tracking Jedi bounties.

Anyway like other people said, you can get banned for it.
