That is incorrect. There is currently PvP in CoH and the scope of PvP is going to grow when CoV is released.

Leather boy, I got you running all over. It never had to come to this.

To try to compare SWG AlphaPVP, you brought up your city of heroes example. I retorted with COH only has ARENA Battles, nothing more. So after I pwned you with that, you quickly changed tunes and brought up your City of Villains example,A GAME THAT HAS NOT EVEN BEEN RELEASED YET.

Don't know about you, but if someone has to compare SWG with a game that has yet to be RELEASED. You got pwned bud !!

Sure, if / when City of Villains is released and the heroes there are balanced against the COH professions then we can bring up this debate with Alpha professions.

Otherwise it's moot. We may as well discuss Alpha profession comparisons to Star Wars Galaxies 5 because you don't know how the professions are going to be balanced out until the game goes live.

By making fun of my board handle, you have insulted over 200 years worth of military history in the form of United States Marines. Good going, Captain Manners.

I didn't state that I have a link to CoV release date. Maybe instead of reflexively typing out the online experience changing bit even when it has nothing to do with the conversation, you might want to look into some reading comprehension classes. Obviously your ability to grasp the meaning of what's written is sorely lacking.

There are US Marines on Alderaan? ...er... Were, I mean? Come on man, you are being way toomuch here. You are losing an arguement and are seriously reaching when you use that comment. Oh and before you jump the gun and hit me with not being patriotic and mocking the "corp", I'm USN here, and I work beside Marines daily.

I've in no way lost. Everything I stated is relevant, verifiable and irrefutable.

Seriously, why should they now? Jedi don't grind for months anymore like they say they do. A Jedi can get in a group with 7other Jedi, stand on the Ryyat Trails and earn 1000xp every 10 seconds. That's 6000 a minute, 360,000 and hour. A Novice Padawan can grind to a full-template Jedi in 2 weeks(unless his mommy grounds him from the computer during this time, then it could take longer).

2 weeks.... Where have they earned Jedi? In what part was it hard? They cry and whine saying they should be better than every other profession in every way. Why? When Jedi actually become a 6 month grind, I'll say that you earned that power.

One more thing. 5 vs 1 is so friggin rare. No, really, it's very, VERY rare. Why use that in any arguements or when you want the devs to listen to you? Are you really so desperate to be uber that you try to make things sound worse than what they really are? "Oh my god, what about all of those BH that can eat food and heal fast!?!?" News flash... Jedi can use Ruby Bliel and Stim D's as well... and guess what? It would actually be a smart thing to do seeing as how it will help you save Force points. Wow... I'm not a Jedi and I thought of that.

Ok... I'm done ranting... for now.

This is not true. Your comutations assume continous fighting with no breaks and time sinks like trinaing, moving from mission to mission and the time it takes to get missions

The true fact is that you get 100-140k xp an hour. I know I just did it.

Pre-CU adter getting 3 tier 4 boxes that is the same rate (100-140k) HOWEVER these paddy's are doing it grouped which means BH xp loss

Now to get templated (double master) it takes 31 million Jedi xp. Now at the actual ratethat is 310 hours. Now if you assume that the Jedi is a heavy grinder averaging 8 hours a day you are looking y 39 days. Now most people dont grind their Jedi at 8 hours a day so that isa inimum number. It also does not consider xp loss to BH's which iuis frequent because your assumpion of grouping causes visbility

Now lets look at the other side of the coin....

I needed 100k combat xp to tweak my alt template. That is 1 million weapons xp. I went in a large group and taht took 25 minutes. An elite profession takes 5.3 mil xp to master. That means in less than a day you can master an elite weaons profession.

Do you see the disparity

Now you see a lot of people that went up fast because of the respec nonesense hat went on and even elites took advatnage of that. Respec is gone so that is out of the equation. Siome got a break but future paddy's will not have that.

Keep in mind that the DEVs are attempting to hash out issues such as these. Yes, the 5vs1 is nothing more then an urban legend.

If someone can proove otherwise I would LOVE a screenie !!

um, how bout 4 vs 1 38k padawan? Cause i've definitely seen that.

I also agree that jedi should be even harder to get but when you relate the time and money required to build an elite template vs jedi by looking at the numbers provided im my previous post you see the difference.

BH gank squads are very common even against low level paddy's

Then it should just be called on a free character slot on an existing account. Regardless, I pay for two accounts in order to play 2 characters on the same server. I would still say that a second slot on one account would still be a reward.

Anyone can have the second slot, just takes 24 sp on your current character and a month or 2 of grinding. you will have your second slot. No one said you have to be a jedi just complete 6 trees of FS.

I'm asking for a screeny of 5v1, or even 4v1 if you got it, not to validate a statement from another player but to support the BH community. I've heard alot of claims from Jedi players about the 5v1 although not a single one has been able to validate it and EVERY Bountyhunter I associate with adamently opposes the view that it's possible to get 5 on a single Jedi without being special forces. (survey says 2 very easy - 3rd will take 15-60 minutes to pull their mission - 4th unknown and it's not been confirmed other then someone pulling a mission several days later while others are sitting on a mission )

I've requested players on multiple occasions to pull my mission to see how many could actually get grouped together and hunt me. I've yet to know more then 3 at the same time whle placing many requests. (I also make it clear that I'm opposed to my mission being held as a form of secrutiywhich is not needed)

I also believe that the next month will remain a trying time for Jedi and BHs alike. There are more "fixes" in the works and some will be deemed breaking. Hang in there, don't flame and post hard examples why a specific issue is ruining game play.

Exactly. 2, very possible. 3 ? Well I have tried to get a gank squad together several times with the 3 of us and I would say our success rate is in the 10 to 15 pct range or until we all just give up after refreshing the terminals over and over and over and over and over and over for a hour.
