Thread: Looks like we lose in the end.

player opposition is different in that you never know what to expect because you are fighting a different mind each time.

And, again, I disagree with you. Things in the DWB can go in very unexpected ways even with a very experienced group of players... once in a while you'll get aggro from a mob that never aggro'd before, or even something as simple as a spike lag can have unexpected results. Most fights that I've seen, on the other hand, tend to look almost exactly the same, most of them are between two players with FOTM templates, and with very similar strategies and skills.

Yeah a lag spike equals all the different possible situations that a bounty hunter could attack you.
I pity you that you actually think that lag is content.

The removal of forced pvp is a huge victory, I may not like other things about the new game enhancements, but on this point they are absolutely doing the right thing.

I think you should remove the last 3 letters in your name...it'd give people an accurate descriprtion of you.
Oh, by all means, please, elaborate...

Hey, a lag spike can add an interesting element to *any* situation, whether it be a dungeon or pvp. Surely you must be smart enough to understand this? Well, maybe not... but be that as it may, pve is certainly not as predictable as you appear to think, and I certainly think that the average BH is far, far more predicatable that the AI in the game... not to mention unwanted, because it was forced pvp.
That's why this change is for the better... getting rid of forced pvp in the game is the best thing that's happened since launch.

No, we win. I don't see how people don't realize this, but now the Jedi won't be "uber." They'll be a faceless character, an insignificant being in the SW universe, and that's exactly what they don't want.
You are a moron that is exactly what this jedi wanted thanks soe now I can finally enjoy my game.
Wonder what the PS folks will think when you coplain them about how hard the game was pre-9.

And now what do jedi have? they are not uber anymore.... they are a regular class.... on par with officer and BH and the others. And you dont have NPC missions.....So hmmmm what is a jedi to do?
Yeah, and I think that's absolutely awesome, it will get rid of all the folks who only cared about Jedi if it made them "uber" -- so that's great.
Now that griefers and borderline psychos won't be able to intrude and disturb us anymore, I'll sure be glad to help newer players explore the content of the game, and lend out a hand to all my friends and guildies without worrying about someone interrupting... this is what has always been the most rewarding part of the game for me, so I'm definitely very happy and excited about the new changes.

Really? That must be why their FAQ says,
"Is there PvP in LOTRO?
While there is some (but very little) precedent for PvP in the lore, it doesn't fit into Tolkien's world in the usual way that PvP fits into MMORPGs. In light of this, the design team is looking at PvP alternatives that will satisfy those who enjoy competetive play, while preventing scenarios such as Elves "ganking" Hobbits in the Shire."
And the developers stated
"""If so far I have only talked about what the game used to be, let this be the first bold statement as to what we now are: player versus player conflict as it is known in massively multiplayer games will not be a part of Middle-earth. Player characters, the things we as game designers ask you to invest hours of your life into, will never attack or be attacked by another player character."
We understand that for some players, having a PvE game is not what they were hoping for. This decision, however, will not change."
And the forums aggressively contain all PvP discussion in a single thread so people can argue it to their hearts content without cluttering up the rest of the boards.

Really? Is that how you define a bounty hunter? No wonder you're on these forums. Tell me, how many bh's have gone after you? And how many of them didn't say 'gf' after the fight? I know I always do. I have had JEDI send me hate tells just for being around them. I have screenshots, if you want. Don't be so prejudiced against bh. This is probably why you seem to hate bounty hunters so much and want to get rid of their content, because of what some 12 year old respec bh tried to do. Open your eyes.
