Pussycat,

I respect the players who want to not PvP but you have to think, this is STAR WARS Galaxies. Making everyone equal isn't STAR WARS at all, jedi are supposed to be really really tough to kill. Since I only had a good 24% kill ratio to death ratio, I realized this and never was offended to lose to a jedi, unless it was a padawan which was overly uber like I think they all are.

Anyway, by taking this out they are losing my subscription, hunting a computer and hunting a live player is different. Some people don't understand, but its the thrill of going against a live player that made it so important.

Like I said I respect someone not wanting to PVP, but you should have bought another game. This is no longer Star Wars like it should be, seems to me its turning into a carebear universe for people who whine about other people hunting them, instead of sucking it up and moving on. The fact they just change it 'all of the sudden' was wrong and unthoughtful after someone paid the money for the Mustafar upgrade only to find their game getting revamped.

So, is it good for the community as a whole? Well thats from a certain point of view isn't it? Carebear whiners from countless complaintsIMHO just turned my favorite game into a soft nothing more than the average MORPG where your 'all friends' fighting monsters, and you can only pvp when you have the best gear in your favor because thats when you CHOOSE to pvp. Everyone wants it their way, and we all suffer for it. Rather than taking your beatings and just moving on.

I was even reported by a jedi one time, for wearing common clothes and acting like a rifleman hunting some things in his area, him inviting me into his group not paying attention, then I blasted him with full armor and my pistol. He REPORTED me, I guess probably for acting friendly and scheming to kill him. When I never broke a rule, NOT 1. Its little babies like this that need a pacifier and need to go play some other game.

FYI I bought SWG for the simple fact you could Bounty Hunt, and was cheated out of my money.

As for the jedi specials its nothing more than diffrent graphics...all other professions has area attacks, burstrun, FD, etc, etc so there was nothing special with jedis tricks and no mystery.

Only a long grind for nothing it seems now. I feel sorry for you guys now that everyone will be jedi from start.

Have fun!!

You're wrong hun, it was perfectly possible late in the game to go from initiate to full template in just a couple of weeks, without breaking any rules. There is absolutely no profession that has the equivalent of FR3 (running almost as fast as swoops), regain consciousness (you can use your rez ring, but once it's gone, it's gone), avoid incapacitation, cloak, etc. You couldn't even come close to doing any of those things as a non-Jedi. Not to mention the coolness of lightsabers and force lightning.

Future players may get to start the game as force-sensitive (which I think it's actually for the best) but they'll never know the Jedi profession as it was pre-NGE, and it's a shame they won't. Having said that, I look forward to playing with all present and future Jedi, and in doing so in equal terms.

So the best part of your profession was 'running fast' LOL man o man that is pathetic.... BH ruled.... you know it.... and they still will.

No, FR3 is not the best part of being a Jedi, but it definitely is a lot of fun!

BH's were a complete failure at what they claimed they were supposed to serve, "population control" of the Jedi, it was pathetic that the worst you could do is make a Jedi lose a little xp that could be grinded back in as little as an hour... now BH's will only have NPC missions, so I hope you enjoy doing those.

Well with Jedi being just another profession I think we win because we may actually have a galactic civil war to fight. We'll be kicking your butt on the battle field puss. Unless you are not good enough and I have a feeling you won't be.

and you ask why we like pvp? because we actually like a challenge. I can do almost any pve situation in the existing game while watching a movie. I do hope the new game changes that but I figure in about 3 months we'll have figured out the new game and I'll be able to double task again. But you can't do that when you pvp. If you are happy with simplistic then that's on you. I do wonder why you spend $15 a month for simplistic when you can do that for free but whatever. You weren't upto being a real jedi and now you don't have to be...but you'll be a fake Jedi.

You won't be kicking anybody's butt unless they choose to pvp... with forced pvp removed, you are effectively limited to fighting NPCs and other pvp'ers who choose to either duel you or go special forces.

I realize all too well that fragile male egos get a huge boost from "kicking butt", so if that's how you like to get your kicks, have fun.

Well, to you it might seem like a challenge, to me personally it's a bit of a barbaric ritual that simply allows you to enjoy the same raw emotions that Neandarthals did. However, if that is your idea of a good time, then go ahead and enjoy yourself.

You can spare me with your silly boyish notions of what constitutes a real or a "fake" Jedi, I am not at all insecure about my chosen profession and I could care less what you think.

That's funny, I tried pvp and it got boring fast. Well, soon you can go around waving your little gun saying "I'm bounty hunter, bounty hunter", and I'm sure everyone will say the exact same thing about you.

Explain to me how battling against a human mind was more boring than fighting against incredibly predictable AI? See your a simpleton.

Well, given that 90% of all BH's seemed to always go for the FOTM, I'd have to say that with rare exceptions it got to be fairly predicatable... And AI is not nearly as predicatable as you think, I've led dozens of DWB raids and not once was everything absolutely predictable, there was always something that could catch you completely by surprise and force you to think fast. So, if anyone here is a simpleton, I think it would have to be you, sweetie.

So you were surprised by a prewritten program in a situation you'd run "dozens of times". Did the game develop artificial intelligence only for you? So when the droids shot at you it surprised you? Like they stood around and waived the first few times? What did they do that was different? Did the droid say to the other droids "lets set a trap and use this new shard I found on mustafar?" yeah didn't think so.

You're actually claiming that the game situations change for you while it does not for the rest of us.

You see you made a statement and provided no more proof then "AI isn't as predictable as you think" with no back up details following it and you claim that is a definitive answer. I'm sorry but mentally sparing with you is like boxing with a quadriplegic. I'm actually starting to feel bad about it, like one might after picking on a retarded kid.

Yeah, I guess it didn't occur to you that different group members might act differently and sometimes cause mobs to react in different (and sometimes unexpected) ways. I guess I shouldn't expect you to actually be able to figure that out on your own, you probably would be more comfortable just going in like a raging bull and smashing everything you can.

I guess I shouldn't really have expected you to understand that without having to explain it the way you'd have to explain to a 12-year-old.

Your pithy comparisons are a pathetic attempt to bait me, I think you should be smarter than that. Mmmm. Well, then again, maybe not.

i think what he is saying is that your opposition is the same everytime in someting like the dwb, and so you knwo what to expect and how to deal with it. true a noob may make a mistake but the opposition stays the same, hence why there are groups that go in and do it over and over with no difficulty, adn actually make people pay them to take them down there cause they have the experience and know what to expect.

player opposition is different in that you never know what to expect because you are fighting a different mind each time.
