Right JustG, but also pls consider moving the Jedi missions up to MBH, since otherwise ppl will just take investigation tree, freeing up way more skillpoints than what you have calculated.
By the way, I saw armor in game with 40% LS protection. This, added to personal shield generator, "nerfs" Jedi damage in PvP to nearly nothing.

Just piqued my curiousity. Why keep the exploration line? Isn't the hunting line more in line with the Bounty *Hunter* profession?

Most of the people here are upset because Everyone else gets to a BH quick and they
had to sit in the sun and BEG for people to pass through their CAMPS !!!! 
Or whats this "Make Jedi missions only for MBH" screw that!! any BH should get those missions

doesnt mean everyone else has to do the same thing!!
I started BH the first week of this game, You say it's gonna be easy ha? Well When I mastered it
the investigation tree was giving 10 xp for every mission!!! Not to remind you of targets that would spwan in a tree or building,was that fair? When they fixed it I didn't go flame BH forums, I was happy it was fixed. We dont want Negative Nancy's hereNOW STOP THE CRY!!!!

Sorry, but this is a terrible solution. When this was thrown about a few weeks ago and put to a vote on a thread, I'd say about 4 to 1 people were saying NOT to lower the requirements for Bounty Hunter. Why do you guys even bother to ask us things? What can you do right now to make us happy? How about take a step back? Stop this before it starts. Read what is being said in this thread and THEN make a decision. Why are you asking us what you can do right now when you've already decided? Now that you've lowered the SP requirements you're unlikely to give us anything more in terms of boosting the strength of our profession. I really just don't understand your post at all JustG... What can you do now? I don't know, maybe actually pay attention this time? Listen to us, instead of decide something and listen to us whine for 6 months to change it.
You know we're unhappy about bugs, and you talk about how you're working on it. Great. You realize that BH mark bugs have been in this game since Day 1? How about putting that manpower used for that Jedi mission bug, after u guys fix it of course (because we all know anything related to Jedi is a *priority*) on the invisible mark bug, marks spawning in buildings bug, etc, etc, etc, etc?
Bounty hunter should be the best combat class, and should have working missions, and thats the reason why we all picked it. And this is not the case. It has never been this way. It needs to be this way.
By lowering the SPs needed to grab BH all you are doing is encouraging real bounty hunters to leave the profession and dabble. I didn't pick BH so that I had to choose ANOTHER profession to make it worthwhile. Well, why should I stay at all? The NPC missions are too easy, bugged, and just plain boring. The Jedi missions are now damn near impossible, bugged, and have an insulting bounty reward. Player bounties don't exist outside of the player organizations that managed to set up a system themselves.
What can you do today for me? Nothing. You can't cure all of our problems in one day, so PLEASE DO NOT TRY. I don't want a short term fix and neither do most of the other true bounty hunters. I want a real fix. This SP "fix" is not temporary. It is permanent. And as usual it will create more problems than it solves.
Fix the bugs (yes, more than just the Jedi issue you seem to be so concerned with) with the damn class FOR ONCE. Light a fire under it. Then raise the bounty reward on Jedi missions to 150,000 again, where it should be. I don't care if 10 people are exploiting. Way to punish me and the thousand other honest bounty hunters for a few idiots. It's funny that you guys asked us what should be done about that too. I failed to see anyone say, "hey make the missions only pay 15,000!". You were talking reduction by 25k, or 50k, but NOT 100k. One of the options was to take them out altogether, temporarily. Well, that's what you've done my friend. In the most backhanded fashion possible, by insulting us with 15k missions. Do you guys even play this game? So you make Jedi 10 times harder to kill and the missions pay 10 times less.
Don't take the easy way out. Actually sit down and put some effort into this. Listen to our correspondent who I'm sure has talked about all the combat mods that we deserve, oh, 5000 times. And please don't ever ask us what to do again, after already making a decision on what to do. If your question was supposed to be rhetorical, then never mind. Thanks for making up our minds for us.

Yep, move Jedi Missions to MBH. If you dont you will have DROVES of players getting inv 3 only to hunt jedi. If jedi are supposed to be that ellusive in this period of the time line then only a MBH should be able to find them.

Don't listen to the whiners JustG. Making the profession viable isn't a bad thing. They are just scared that their cookie-cutter profession will become good and they will have nothing to **edit** about on the forums anymore.
This is far better than making BH viable on its own. Why do you all want vanilla bounty hunters that are all the same? Where is the variety? Where is the technique? If you want to hunt down bounties using a flamer or VKs, then who is stopping you? Look at the Star Wars universe bounty hunters. They all use whatever skills and weapons they like.
You don't see Boba Fett running around taking away peoples Bounty Hunter licenses because they don't use the standard issue Carbine, Pistol and LLC. Hell, Boba Feet is a Carbineer in the game and he has a flamer. Which is something you can actually do now, instead of being forced into crappy cookie-cutter BH.

I agree. At this point they might as well remove the profession as it will be easier to balance the combat professions without it as now we will be sucking skills like we did out of carbine making it totally useless without the BH speed mods. Just remove it and put all our skills in the other professions.It will probably be better for us and better for everyone else, especially in dealing with Jedi and making fights more interesting.

This is the best they could do on short notice and I think it makes more sense. Why does a BH have to use pistols, carbines, and llc? A TKA could be a BH, so could a pistoleer, a CH, a carbineer, or rifleman. My point is a BH is not a set of skills but more of a decision by a player. This is what the Devs messed up by making you all the same ole formula. Its very boring and now you can mix it up and be more of a unique BH instead of the same old crap.

I admittedly don't know a ton about the Bounty Hunter "profession" as it is right now (I'm a Droid Engineer at heart), but if this quick tweak does go in immediately, as it does seem needed as I start moving into BH....WHY is "Exploration" being left as a requirement and not HUNTING.

Folks, you have to see that moving FS missions and increasing the pay is the only way to keep some manner of respectability to MBH. If they don't, you will see droves of people dropping MBH like a hot rock in favor of skills that will make you more viable Vs FS players. I think that MBH/TK0444 would be a decently viable template vs FS players.
FS PC missions at MBH only. Increased FS payout.

I have a few simple suggestions (hopefully you get this far LOL)
- MOVE JEDI (and future player bounties) BOUNTIES TO THE MASTER BOX!
- I think this will be a MUST in order to preserve the profession and provide some real incentive to Master it
- Add a "weapon change speed +2" to the Master BH box
- Gives an incentive to Master and reduces the weapon switch time
- HAVE TO FIX THE JEDI MISSIONS!
- 15k for a mission is insulting, it cost that much just to get ready for getting a mission
- 75k for Low level Jedi
- 125k for Middle level Jedi
- 175k for High Level Jedi
- I simply do not beleave TH's assertion that BH/Jedi are teaming up for 150k. It is such a small amount in comparison to how much a Jedi's Alt can make that I just have a hard time accepting it. If it does take place, it is few and far between, don't hurt everyone for the actions of a VERY few.
- Change the LLCto a Rifle, rather then a Heavy Weapon.
- Bounty Hunter needs to be the Pre-reg
- If you do this, I'd cut the damage stats in half
- I recommed this because BH should not have a HEAVY WEAPON, but we should be using Rifles
Overall, I like the removal of the Scout skills. Personally I would like to see the BH Pre-Req increased to resrtict the # of Bounty Hunters we have. But that may be hard to do.
BOUNTY HUNTER PRE-REQUIRMENTS (requires 180 skill points to quality)
- Master Marksman- 77 skill points
- Pistoleer - Must complete at least 1 tree - 20 skill points required
- Carbineer - Must complete at least 1 tree - 20 skill points required
- Rifleman - Must complete at least 1 tree - 20 skill points required
- Complete 1 additional tree- (Must complete a Second Tree in Pistoleer, Carbineer, or Rifleman) -14 skill points required
- Scout (4-0-0-0) - 29 skill points required

He just bent your proffesion over a stump and gave it a beef injection.
You're thinking they are giving you guys more points, when in reality they are lowering the point requirementso that better proffesions(commando,TKA) can take INV3.
So when all is said and done, you've just lost the only thing that distinguishes you as a BH.
