I mean its a nice start of finally fixing our proffesion. Ive been a BH for about 11 months now so Iveseen the Devs nerf, and promise to make BH better, thennerf it again, and make more promises, and maybe a couple more nerfs, and they throw out a coupl emore promises, and so on for a year straight.
Its about dam time they do something positive to BH...

Well, this creates a dilemma with what to do with my BH on TC. Drop those skills, as I won't need them, and pick up something like some carbineer skills, or keep the scout mastery and be part ranger?
Hrm... I think I'll go flip a quarter.

DEVS your job is easy now. Just make only MBH able to get Jedi missions and you will make us all happy as heck. Easy !! I'm back in !! Accounts still running !!! I was just about to close them. Good move.

Hmmm, this change has been discussed on TC for quite some time - this is not something that came as a surprise to anyone who has been reading TC info. Even during the jedi testing and bh testing on TC2 the devs were saying that the BH'rs needed to have the ability to spread their wings as it were.
This is a very good change - just as the jedi will no longer be all cookiee cutters, BH'rs will not be cookiee cutters. BH'rs can finally be feared (rightfully so) for not just being BH but that they are expert combatents. I the Game many BH'rs have called for more power for so long - but really less of their skills were in combat then most of the templotiers out there > now they can finally claim that they have nearly the same point total in combat as the pure combat builds.
Some things to thing about... BH + SL(form up you slime balls... we have jedi to kill!), BH + Commando , BH + Pistoleer + medic, so much to do now... how about artisan BH'rs (sure i can fix that)... or the bar BH - (Musician by day, feared crusader by night)etc... so much Roleplay opportunity now!

On a positive and constructive note, here's what I believe will fix this mess.
The focus of all jedi now is to how to best balance their current force status with as much defensemodifications from other professions. As they level towards force mastery they must drop defense skills granted by other professions such as fencer etc.
Knowing this, I suggest you add an additional "penetration" skill calculator, that allows bounty hunters a better chance at landing their shots andstate changing affects as well as DoT effectsincluding knockdown, blind, dizzy, stun, bleed, fire. As the bounty hunter further progresses up to master title, the chance to land their shots and state changing affect %s go up.
Also, a "defense verse lightsabre" calculator would also be a valuable asset, or rather, a "dodge against lightsabre attacks" would be better suitable, rewardable more as the bounty hunter progresses towards master status. This addition would also benefit people who cannot easily attain lightsabre resistant armor, giving all bounty hunters defense against "jedi" targets exclusively.
Furthermore, destroying the LLC tree line, and substituting it with rifle tree line would be a godsend. Giving speed and accuracy mods (identical to the pistol and carbine boxes that are found in the bounty hunter trees) would stack with the marksman's rifle tree line mods which in turn would not render the rifle tree line in the marksman's profession useless. Doing this would make a bounty hunter with pistol / carbine / rifle speed and accuracy modificationsall around 130/85 spd/acc, instead of having those same mods for just pistol/carbine, paired with a slow, inaccurate LLC.
Of course this is all totally dependant on making ourdroids that track and find our jedi targets which I understandis a very hard task to complete, but simply must be done.
I don't think that awarding us more skill points to "dabble" into other professions is a viable fix.

I don't see why you just don't get rid of bounty hunter completely now and let anyone with a Master Title be able to use BH terminals. You devs really are a ****ing piece of work.

Ok first let me thanks for a decent start to revamping us. Things that still need to change are...
LLC needs +50
MBH missions need higher payout
jedi missions only available to MBH and MBH only
remove weapon timer for MBH (THIS IS VERY CRITICAL)
we need our specials beefed back up
this is a big wish but....
Dualpistol weilding for MBH and Master Pistoleer (the only two profs that deserve it)

Ok ive posted in here tooo much today, but in closing a few thoughts.
I have changed my mind. I would like to see jedi hunting to post invest 4.
Basically read it like this.: Once achieving the rank of Stalker a player qualifies for jedi hunting.
WHy? At this point a class has done as much invest exp as a master bh and therefore should be allowed bh privileges.
INVEST 3 is far to low. I would say this should be changed pretty much no matter what.
If nothing else remove weapon switch from MASTER BH.
Basically read it like this.: Having mastered combat in carbines, cannons, and pistols the Master BH is adept in quick weapon switches, using thier versatility to take out opponents.
Make sure that Master BH are the best NPC/PLAYER trackers when aided by droids. The master BH might not be the best at killing jedi, BUT THEY SHOULD BE THE BEST AT FINDING THEM. Make this difference discernable.
I think the rest can be visited in the combat revamp.
MAKE DROIDS WORK BY FRIDAY OR THIS IS ALL POINTLESS.
FIX THE WEAPON SWITCH
MOVE JEDI HUNTING TO STALKER RANK

A simple solution... make the LLC unblockable and boost its accuracy. This is a weapon specific to BH and yet it is the worst weapon out there to use in PvP. Reduce the chance to block scatter pistol attacks and add melee mitigation or some form of melee toughness to the master box. Carbine specials... well they don't really do anything anymore, can't KD anyone, sprayshot rarely applies the states because of high defences. Increase the chance to stick a KD and states. Fastblast... reduced chance to block, evade etc against this attack and increased bleed effect.
This is just a bandaid but please don't make BH the FoTM profession which the extrapoints will surely turn it into. I'm sure this doesn't require much programming and is a much more elegant solution, imho.

I am very disappointed and saddened at hearing this. There were two paths available for fixing the Bounty Hunter profession. Raising our abilities to a level appropriate to our prerequisites, or lowering our prerequisites to a level appropriate to out abilities. Personally, I would much rather have seen the former. I am surprised to see that some Bounty Hunters are applauding the decision to do the latter instead. Granted, that can be done a lot sooner, but I'd rather wait for the right solution than get the wrong solution immediately.
