Thread: FEEDBACK: Jedi Missions No Longer Showing Player Name, or Bounty Payout

Oh I absolutely agree. Monkeypaw effect here.
As soon as you take a mission against a jedi, you should appear hostile - red name, to that jedi. Also, the jedi should be able to go to informants and find out if they have a bounty on them, and if so if anyone has taken it.
I absolutely agree, jedi shouldn't have to /duel to find out if you're going to attack while they are hunting. As soon as the BH takes a mission against a jedi, they should appear red to the jedi. They should do away with this chickensh*tsystem and let you actually have some challenge.
Also attacking a sided-jedi should most certainly give you factional TEF. GCW and all that.
That's what you wanted, of course - you aren't some kind of lamer who wants to hang around waiting for someone to engage a mob before you gank them, surely.

Meh. I played Shadowbane too. Mage Assasins were awesome. I know, I played one.

Either you're not a jedi or a bh, or you have no clue how to play your template. A fully templated jedi is still way more powerful than any one combination of normal professions. A 2/3rds Templated Jedi with Defender skills is still way more powerful than any other profession combination. Jedi that are crying about being weak obviously lack the skill to play their template. I can take 3-4 bh's even with these so-called nerfs at once fairly easilly, and I neither have m.powers (choke) nor master defender.
Sadly this is so often the case. Incompetent people create a false comparison.
I played in shadowbane beta, and chose one of the worst classes in the game (assassin), and did well with it against people who were just terrible. I beat people 3..5 even 8-1 once. When they were fighting me, *I* knew what they could have done to beat me, but they didn't do it.
They got together and whined, and the assassin got nerfed. Not because the class was good, but because they lost to me in PvP. Unwilling or unable to admit their own deficiency, they choose instead to claim that my baseline was more superior (which was absurd).
I mean how else could someone beat people 3-4:1 regularly unless their class was just overpowered? It certainly couldn't be skill, practice, timing, preparation, better keybindings, better gear, or good tactical choices in the fight.. no, that'd be impossible. SSDG -- Same S* different game.
Good players leverage advantages. They look for them, and adapt. In pvp a small advantage is a BIG thing. A 10% margin is an easy win.
Anyway, I like the changes (obviously) but I think there is room for some improvement here to help the BH:
1. Get the mark's name when arriving at the planet the jedi is on.
2. Make the payment proportional tu visibility. the basis reward could be 50K + a variable ammount from 0K to 200K.
3. Group members no longer give vis? Yes, but only group members of your same faction. If I am a rebel and see an imp jedi in my group using his powers, why wouldn't I report him to the Empire knowing that he will be hunted and a threat to the Light Side of the Force vanquished?

what is us giving feedback going to do, its not like anyone can stop them now? this should count as a thread that is flame bait, this isn't going to do anything but cause people to get more upset, just let us enjoythe last few days of bounty huntingplayer jedi and notforce us to think about this![]()

this is a must and it has been for long!
So the Jedi said:
It had to stop, that "BountyHunter GROUPS!" hunt one single mark.
It had to stop, that one name is tool for griefing.
So the BH said:
It had to stop, that evry 4th target is from a faction id like to kill ^^
It had to stop, that we ABUSE the friendslist-system to control onlinestatus - of course every set mark is always online!
...like we are, and lets be honest: to know more, is like cheating. Every BH in the books or films just got a profile and an order, no onlinestatus and such

I think it's an excellent idea. The RP possibilities are numerous. For instance, now a jedi can truly *hide*, except for around his most trusted friends. Walk around in public without lightsaber equipped, robe put away, wearing regular clothing, he's hiding among us.
In all my hunts, I never once needed a name. The bio-sig was plenty. And I took the appropriate time to truly "hunt" my mark.
This is a move in the right direction in that this is a "roleplaying" game. It was starting to feel like a freaking FPS.
We're hunting to collect a reward. This is a profession, we ARE doing this for money, and not letting usknow how much isn't really the brightest thing. Although taking the payout off the terminals isn't my biggest complaint, it just straight up makes no sense.
The name, as said a million times before, keeping to the true star wars feel. There's no way. While this is what the dev's feel is the best solution to griefing. The system makes perfect sense as is.
Jedi complain about people picking on 100k padawans or whatever... welllll... there is a visibility system, and hot dogging will only get them placed on the terminals. In turn, yes they deserve to die.
Our current system (save the 5 vs 1 which i dont agree with) is working perfectly. Don't fix us, we're working fine.
Possible solutions?
-Fix their visibility so super new jedi's can have a little fun with their new found powers without having to worry about getting on the terminals super fast.
-Missions decaying over time was an excellent idea, and I applaud that, now make it fast, like, 2 hours and the mission is decayed. And only2 to 3people can accept one persons mission based on difficulty (leaving room for Jedi friends grabbing up missions). 5 on 1 gone. Jedi's BH friends holding missions forever gone.
-Picking on the same target over and over. Once the BH mission is complete, bump it up and give slain Jedi 24 hours (real time)immunity to do whatever he/she wants, after that if theygettheir visibility up, itstheir problem.
Most of our current system is fine and doesn't deserve this huge overhaul. You should be putting your manpower into things like *cough* RANGER??
