Actually in a pvp situation, these are nice things to have. The fact that a bh could use a jawa rifle (stun don't forget) in their arsenal, and that range support 4 is very nice to have (suppression 1), I think these are well suited.

Fix the bh missions from being bugged such as no marks or marks under houses ect and up the bounty for the missions I can use tkm and do rancors and in one buff session easily make a mil in credits.For 45 mins worth of chasing Id think wed get paid a little better


Love the scout tree elimination.


Give BH melee defense they dont need a bunch but they should have some heck even Melee Mit 1 would be nice.


The jedi system thats being created is a joke it should have been left alone the thing is I was under the impression ya wanted to keep jedi a low population prof well heck now everyone is gonna have one.


Fix stuff that was already live PROFS for example and not somethin lame like a low population prof like Image Designer it did need fixed yes but cmon how many of them are there compared to smuggler carbineers pistoleers ect. Point being we did not need the CC and DWB how much of that time could have been spent fixing some of the current problems? Exactly dont add more problems till ya get the current ones fixed my suggestion. thanx

Frankly, I wouldn't mind keeping the Trapping line IF we get some traps to use against people. Otherwise, sure, get rid of it...

Although I do have to agree with one point...


Getting these new skill points back is nice, but it doesn't do anything to fix our profession. Our specials still suck (can't remember the last time Bleed Shot was even on my taskbar). I suppose, however, that will be addressed in the CB. Oh well, at least I can use other professions' specials now.

Your pets are your weapons are they?, then you must just stand and watch while your pet fights for you, you obviously cant be shooting or swinging while your pets are tanking right, or that would mean you have 2 weapons.


Seriously, as an ex master CH, this argument is and always has been idiotic, your pets are not your weapon, they are your PETS, you choose to use them in battle, while you no doubt blast away from a safe distance with your T21 or whatever.


BTW reducing our SP requirement is a poor idea, allowing us to use a less useless proffession, in conjuction with our broken one is not in any way a fix for BH, merely a thinly veiled attempt to put down the peasants revolt and open the hunting of jedi to everyone else, all packaged to look like the devs are trying to help us, evidently some of us are dumb enough to fall for it.


FIX BH, OR AT LEAST GIVE US AN IDEA ON WHEN YOU WILL GET AROUND TO IT.

Not a flame. That just kinda bugged me as I was reading. I actually almost agree with you. Something had to be done, and it had to be done NOW. This is the simplest and quickest way to keep the children in check until the combat revamp. This is actually great for me. I don't want to be the guy in the group that takes the first shot then has to run away while the TKMs do all the work. That's how Jedi work, not BH. I was resigned to the fact that I would have to give up all of BH, Marksman, and Scout. Now with the extra skill points, I can keep most of BHuntil they directly addressour issues.

One other thing...this wasn't done for MBH. This was done to the Jedi who immediately made a mockery of their profession when they got the free ride they wanted.

I know it's kinda disappointing but that's what we get atm, but at least he's now asking for ideas/suggestions for P11 or earlier for the smallest changes. It doesn't mean that the 169 points will stick like that, they can always change everything, well there's always a hope.


Thanks for reading my rant. If this were isolated, I surely wouldn't have gone off like I did. But it seems like every time they think they're fixing something, it's either not a fix or it breaks something else. For some bizarre reason, they want Jedi running around in public with lightsabers. What's been gained there?


And in this case of the Scout tree requirement, there's no reason for this, except what seems like severe short-sightedness. They're the ones who decided that Jedi and BHs would be interconnected, they're the ones that made BHs the regulators of the Jedi population, yet they somehow revamped the Jedi without taking into account the BH class that was created to counter them? It's not as if they came up with this Publish and suddenly discovered that Jedi now related to Image Designers in a way no one had yet conceived. Jedi and BHs are directly related, yet nobody seemed to recognized that changes to one would have serious effects on the other. Or if they did recognize that, they chose to ignore it until it was too late to do anything about it except to wait for the CB.


So all the time BHs have spent climbing the Scouting tree was wasted. Just throw it out the window. It won't translate into anything and you'll have to sell it all back in order to get the defenses you want because they're not going to fixthe BHs, they're going to tell you to just choose adifferent profession. The message of this nerf is "Don't be a Bounty Hunter. We don't know what they're good at either." Which just a blasted shame.

I'm glad to see the devs are soliciting this kind of input from BH's. BH's are an especially important profession from the standpoint of Star Wars continuity and SWG gameplay.


That said,it would be nice if a dev would ask us Musicians the same question in our forum.

I've been vocal on the BH subject the last couple of days, so I have to say thank you for the attention, and the hopefully sincere sentiment that you want/need us to be effective against a rapidly burgeoning Jedi population. Obviously we all would have just preferred some kind of a fix, but at least this will keep some bounty hunters in the profession (for longer), and probably keep a few people from cancelling their accounts (myself included).

I'm very curious to see how this pans out.

Thanks again for the update, and I'm sure we all look forward to being kept in the loop.

One other thing that i find bothering me is this:


Some people say that the DEV's are giving us a little help so they can fix us later.


wait, did i say later? How much later? Haven't the DEV's been saying they will fix us for MONTHS? Every once in a while they come here and say they will get things done for us, but have we ever really received much?


This is just a glorified excuse. We may not see fixing for another six months, maybe more.


I just don't see how this is any different than any other time we were given false hope. They just want us to believe it this time.


And i am sorry that i have to resort to saying these things about the DEV's, becasue i've tried to go with what they say and i've tried to tell my self it is getting better, but i just don't see how this will "fix" us NOW or LATER.

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?

YOU ARE DOING A COMBAT REBALANCE IN A FUTURE PATCH.

WE DONT BE ABLE TO STACK DEFENCE AFTER PUBLISH 10, AND YOU KNOW THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT TO DO WITH THOSE POINTS.

MOST OF US WANT RANGER TRACKING ABILITY, BUT WILL HAVE TO SUFFER THE ORIGINAL BH TEMPLATE TO KEEP IT (MASTER SCOUT).

IF U WANT TO HELP BH, JUST FIX THE JEDI MISSIONS, GIVE US A REALLY NICE CARBINE WEAPON AND OTHERS TO USE THAT ONLY BH CAN EQUIPT.

TRAPS ARE AN AWESOME WAY TO BETTER THE BH PROFESSION, BUT U NERF SCOUT?

NERF RANGER LINE FOR US?

Nope, actually, I'm a non-combat CH. They are my weapon, they defend me when I'm out taming. My combat skill is a whopping Polearms IV, and always has been. Right now my master CH is working on becoming a Master Ranger, and before that she was a Politician, and a BE for a short while. So don't make assumptions.
