Thread: Solo groups and overloaded sabers
first off all i want to say is that i do not exploit ... i hate exploiting and i hate cheating .. it ruins the MMORPG .. if you cheat theres no reason to play the game IMHO ... the fun in the game for me is working hard for the awesome items and weapons i may find ...
NOW ... although i dont cheat ... i can sometimes figure out how people do things ... and although i will never teach people how to cheat ....for the purpose of trying to bring to light the way these cheats are done so they might be FIXED i will go through some of my understanding of STACKED SABERS ... in fact if i spill the beans and all jedi use this .. it will get fixed sooner...
having a house on a server boundary i noticed something ... that when i remove items from the house ...they didnt appear in my invetory untill i logged out and back in .. a sort of "lagged" update ...well ... you can put crystals in your saber kits ... and run past the boundary and they werent "in" the kit ... the kit didnt update ... so you could do this as many times as you wanted ....
recently after publish 21 ... the invetory is once again lagged ...try repairing your armor and you wont see your condition maxed as in 31212/31212 .. instead for a duration of time it will show up as 21233/35234 ( as an example) ..so somehoweither the server boundary trick is back OR ... they arelagging the invetoryfrom updating itself and stacking the sabers in their kits ... this is very similar to credit duping and shouldresult in a BAN ...
second ... there is a glitch with preCU sabers in that they do not use any action cost whatsoever ... so you can use 0002 channel to turn action into force .. and use your lightsaber without any special action cost ... andconstaly refuel your force with your action ...

its great to see this post
my friend and BH guildie reported every Jedi he saw with an overloaded saber and the CSRs told him he was reporting too many exploited sabers! what kinda bs is that SOE?additionally, the jedi can only be caught if saber is in inventory. its removed and the back of their hands feel unpleasent for a min...then they overload their next saber in their house until they are reported again by a different player.hmm. i guess it pays to cheat with Sony...
Did they say he reported too many sabers that turned out to be legal or did they specifically say he reported too many exploited sabers that actually were exploited?

pretty hard to find server boundaries though
they arent hard at all .. i can give you4 off the bat which i have found just through placing my own house and having friends who have done the same thing and had to deal with the same glitches ( items missing from invetory until much later )

There have been other threads in the Jedi forum about this, and recently. At this point in time I'm leaning more towards the "it's real" than the "it's not" group on this.
Though in other threads I've only read about being able to load 5 pearls/crystals into the saber, not the amounts this guy is talking about......
This would be correct Grunzer and is not an exploit as Jedi have 5 different levels of sabers
training: 1 color crystal
1st generation saber: 1 color crystal, 1 power crystal/pearl
2ndgeneration saber: 1 color crystal,2 power crystal/pearl
3rd generation saber: 1 color crystal, 3 power crystal/pearl
4th generation saber: 1 color crystal,4 power crystal/pearl
Somehow perhaps a jedi could load another crystal/pearl in there, probably by taking advantage of lag. I once double tuned a crystal and it still came out rather crappy being a double tuned crystal, but the only way could do that was because of lag.

2hits each? not without overloading, i do tops of like 1.3k per hit with powerhit and abouts 860with head/body/leg hit and abouts 940 with adv saber throw, each of those means more then 2 hits per lol.
Bro, I haveno idea what happened, or the stats on his saber, or what anybody elsehas ever encountered. But with absolutely no flame or disrespect intended, I know what I saw. And I saw one single Jedi decimate a couple of opposing faction players like they were poo on his shoe.

As you guys may have known I used to be a bh, but I was sick of all the exploits and it became quite apparent that this game IS and WILL be KOTOR Online.
That's not a fair comparison - KotOR was an excellent game that never had this many bugs. The story was compelling, the characters were well-rounded and all the professions worked as intended right out of the box. It never required this many bug fixes, nor is Bioware in the business of lying to its customers.
No one ever felt motivated to quit KotOR because of developer favoritism toward a subgroup of players, nor do I recall running into droves of Jedi fighting in starports. KotOR possessed an internal historical consistency that is conspicuously absent in SWG.
In short, SWG could never possibly become KotOR Online - it just can't measure up.
lol
*wonders if sarcasm meter is broken*
If my meter IS broken and you're NOT being funny, you missed the guy's point. He's saying it's KOTOR online because of the number of jedi running around as well as the ease of becoming one.......i.e. playing KOTOR........../shrug

i personally cant put more than 4 pearls/crystals in my saber...so i dont know if overloading is just a myth or not...but i do know guys with 800 dam sabers with over 750 DPS, kill me 2-3 hits everytime, and im a full temp jedi defender
Its not a myth unfortunately. I havent tried it, but there are in-game mails circulating explaining how to do it
800 max damage is pretty suspicious by the way, most struggle to get over 710, and about 750 seems to be the best possible max damage with all 120 dmg pearls. The problem is you dont see the saber's stats in the combat log, you can only try guess the stats from the damage you take, counting in armor mitigations, special attack modifiers, accuracy / defense ratios and such - and that leaves you with a pretty vague guess.
On another note, everybody who overstresses exploiting damage is pretty stupid since it will be detected in combat spam. What worries me more is the ones using 30/-0.3/-9 pearls for overloading, lowering their Force cost to 0 and increasing their speed - both of which are very hard to detect.

Call me suspicious, but I'd love to see a screenshot of a saber hitting another player for 2k-3k damage. I've never seen such a thing. Highest I've seen is 1500, and that was a powerhit with armorbreak on and the player knocked down.
I'm not saying it isn't a possible bug out there, but these forums are known to breed rumors that aren't 100% true.
