Not trolling...have MBH alts...but why do you post on the jedi forums? Hmmm...

Jedi isn't nerfed because it is easier, they get nerfed because there is more of them than ever before.
Uhh, and the reason there are more of them is because it is easier to get jedi these days. I been playing since launch and many of mybuddies were not about to grind numerous unknown professions to become Jedi. When the village started it became much much easier. Then soon after double xp week, free unlimited respecs for close to a month. Ability to afk ryatt trail grind while you were at work, school or sleeping. Besides the Jedi complaints about pearls, it is much much easier as well to play a jedi these days with perma death being removed, pve xp loss removed, group visibility removed, sabre tef removed, having a whole planet to themselves which is immune to BH droids, etc etc.
You are clueless if you actually believe it's not easier.

ok I'll clarify....
it isn't easier under normal circumstances....
hologrind was infact simpler than the village....village takes 18 weeks minimum to make Jedi. Hologrind on the other hand requires you to simply master proffessions...say a guy mastered 1 proffession every 2 days it really wouldn't take them that long to unlock.
double exp/respec was a mistake and a very rare circumstance in the game....it wasn't just Jedi fiinishing templates quicker EVERYONE was changing and grinding templates during that period. Don't make it a "Jedi only" problem.
Permadeath was in the game for about 2 weeks tops...then it went to skill loss. Saber TEF...I seriously wish it was still here, then maybe Jedi would be worth something be it with the power they had or without it.
If you want to compare group vis and PvE exp loss from the old system being removed to the new system it's like comparing apples and oranges. It was impossible for a Jeid to grind solo post-CU and it really still is. Kashyyk doesn't allow droids but then again there really isn't a place for Jedi to grind there anymore...all quest oriented.
Sure, some of those issues may have been fine and good shortly after CU but now that all the changes are done it is no easier or harder to grind from before. All that has happened is the rules changed a little from pre-CU which was needed.
I am a Jedi, an I did grind my entire template post-CU without a Kashyyk expansion, on the terms from novice boxes because I couldn't grind without vis. My grind was by no means easy....I finished it in about 4 months. I could have done it in 2 months (no respecs no double exp) which is almost identical to the grind rates of pre-CU.
So yeah....it hasn't gotten easier, there aare simply more of us, so we infact needed to be brought into balance.

Yeah, since BH grinding only got SOOO much harder...you have to sit there for 1 1/2 months to grind out a full template. **edit**...I boughta new account and ground to MBH/MRifles/MMarks in 3 days...now go back to school and come back after 3...

I take it you were replying to Headroll. I'd say he's exactly right, I know I probably wouldnt have once the original way was uncovered. One of my holos was weaponsmith, one of the worst things I've done in this game (I just cant craft). I gave up going after Jedi at that point.Longer does not equal harder. After the change it was a piece of cake (long yes...but easy).
this is't a flame at all, but just my opinion...
you'd be suprised how many people find long to mean hard.
I don't, but many do.

Good points. The holo grind was simpler true, but to me and as Headroll noted for others, it was much tougher than the village (for reasons in my earlier post). The problem stemmed (IMO) from the grind itself. Instead of Jedi being an Alpha class, it became a grinders class and the grinders were unwilling to accept the challenge involved.

that's because the players these days with the respecs, ryatt trails, double xp have just been spoiled is all.
nothing to do with power grinding and everything to do with People in general.
People are not pacient, it's just a fact. Some of us are, but it is rare.

Exactly. I still have many buddies from launch that I remain in contact with. Majority of which are combatants. They despised having to find the necessary raw materials in bulk to grind weaponsmith, armorsmith and theother crafting professions. Remember in them early days of jedi holos... recursive crafting macros were not known or shared, and could not be found on these forums so people were clicking all that crap manually, lol.
So many of them were content with their original elite combat toons. Once the village opened up and they could drop nades on a lair, lol, join spin groups these days... Majority of them are jedi nowor are close to becoming one. If the originalsystem would have remained no way the Jedi numbers would be what they are now.

I am not arguing that at all....
I'm just saying don't belittle my achievements because I was forced to get Jedi under this new system...when I would have prefferred a skill loss, saber TEF, exp loss, BH gank squad, solo grinding enviroment.
lmao, you state that now after the fact. But believe me as my buds have kindly spouted off in guildchat. once you are less then 50k xp for your next box and your ISP blows up and you log back on and find yourself dead tofrom a lair spawnand all that xp gone, you will be right in line with the rest of the toons to moan.

no...I'm serious....
I was going Jedi to HAVE all those challenges.
I was a BH with the MBH/MC template most of my pre-CU life....I know adversity, and it's fun for me.
above all, all those difficulties make ya feel like a Jedi living under Imperial rule....wouldn't it? That is what I wanted to play more than anything...living dangerously. ATM I'm no Jedi...just some toon with a lightsaber that doesn't even get dirty looks when he walks through a starport when I forgot to take my robes off.....
