You are, of course, right Tanks. Jedi by and large are having a OMFG party over in the Jedi forums.

But, look past that, and you do see some grounds to it. Doc/CM heals get upgraded, Jedi heals get downgraded. They weren't THAT far apart before, so now I'm guessing they'll be pretty close. Jedi dmg gets upgraded a bit with elemental, but non-jedi already hold a big advantage there and some will get some benefit from the elemental, too. Defender's avoid incap got a little nerf, but by and large, jedi defenses are still pretty good, but not much better than a non-jedi with good armor and good defense mods (*cough* duelist upgrade).

So where does that leave us? BH can outdamage us, defend almost as well, heal almost as well, aren't limited by a long term timer (force), and best of all, they can pick when to start the fight. I'd say the cards are pretty well stacking in the BH's favor.

Jedi still retail some special tricks that set them apart from normals, tho. Cloak, force run, stasis. Expect to see a lot more of those.

Wait, what? Doctors can heal a person's entire health bar, including wounds, in less than a second? And then do it over and over again with a small delay?

Hunt a lot of master healers, do you?

I was refering to the most common variety of jedi, the one with healer 3xxx.

ya, i can't heal my entire health bar with wounds in under a second. and the delay is long enough for 2 bhs to set up sniper shots which can hit for 1.5k easy and incap you

Not all BH's have Doc/CM trees either. Myself Included. This is a good thing for Hunters like me.

The fact is that the developers have been moving from a system in which weapons and template determine the victor to a system where PVP skill determins the winner. Jedi are expert PVEers, but that does not make their good PVPers. I once shot at a AFK Full template for 45 minutes before I finally killed them. It was not becuase I sucked at PVP it was becuase Jedi were given GOD mode as a template, they didnt need any skill to win.


Now jedi will have to use skill, not a template to win a fight. I suspect that many of them will have quite a difficult time adjusting to this and that you will have allot of them protesting in the startport again saying that the sky is falling for the second time.

Tanks, my respect for you has gone totally down hill. Balance? What balance? Jedi=1.5x of everything else, its not supposed to be balanced. If you want bh to be as uber as the jedi than perhaps you should make it so that bh takes as long to grind as it does jedi. You can take your sorry balanced speach and stuff it, you are literally taking away what took most of us years to accomplish.

Nah, I'm not quitting. And I'm not spamming the starports, either. But when I get jumped by a BH, I'm leaving. Cloaking, or stasising, or force running. Leaving. No content for you.

What I don't think you're understanding is that when your "template" and the jedi's "template" are even, PvP skills become an afterthought. The BH has roughly equal abilities, and the ability to determine when the fight begins. What meaningful advantage does the Jedi have? Healing has been nerfed, and non-Jedi healing got upgraded (one assumes them now to be roughly equal). Jedi have the Defender tree, but you have high enegry-resistant player armor and a now-upgraded duelist stance. Jedi damage dealing got bumped up a bit, but you already have a huge advantage there and are getting another MBH level weapon (and that thing looks like a monster) with elemental damage. You control when the fight happens, and have the skills to be a match for your mark. You're holding all the cards. When you lose a bounty fight, it will be because you really screwed up in your tactics. The one real marked advantage that Jedi retain is the ability to disengage from the fight, and survive.

Expect them to use it much more often than you saw them use it in the past.

Okay now, I am not a Jedi and have little knowledge since I do not play the class at all, but from what I read their will be changes to the Jedi, but not a tottal nerf as what I am seeing. You guys are having some things taken away and are given a few things in return. I guess we shall see as time goes on.

There is still everything to loose and absolutley nothing to gain. Why should I fight and risk a lag pocket? There's no reason to fight. I have no defender and actualy have no enhancer. A Master healer should be able to heal well enough to stay in a fight. They won't to slow down the 4/x/x/x healers fnie but it makes no sense why a 4/x/x/x healer can heal at the same speed with the same costs as a Master. Master whould have efficiency modifiers. But Anyway everything is judged and so-called "balanced" from the POV of defender. Defender is to Jedi now what MLS was to Jedi pre-CU.
