I had some noob do /duel on me while i was fighting npc's. I took careful note that he never /end me lol. SO about 10mins later and thinking he was a cool guy i made myself a macro =)

/duel;
/pause 0.5;
/chargeshot;
/pause 1;
/pointat;
/yell n00b;
/end;

this of course was the first time i ever saw this jedi and most likely was a ryyat grinder

was pretty funny to say the least

also on my jedi toon i never use /duel on anyone. It takes away from the hunt and is pretty lame to do. If you cant make it as a jedi with the possiblity of being surprise attacked you shouldn't be a damn jedi

c'mon think before you speak

because im sure hte developers thought " hey since bounty hunter have hte first strike ablity to make em as stron as full tempalte jedi, lets give the jedi a way to fidn out if hte bounty hunter has his mission and make sure hte bh doenst know wheter the jedi used the technique or not"

what are you doing staying close enough to them for long enough to allow /duel to give them any kind of advantage.....fight or flee...don't lurk...best case, it's foolish, worst case, it's harassment.

was done because bh could use /duel to make it so a jedi coulnt fight back nowhere does it say "allows jedi to find out if bountyhunter has jedi mission" hence using a game mechanic to gain unfair advantage or aslo know as exploit

actually, it says: if either player can currently attack the other, a /duel request will be ignored.

now, pardon me if I'm wrong here....but if the duel request does not go through, it indicates that the target of the request is able to attack the initiator of the request....also, this wasafter the GCW tefs were eliminated, BH missions are the only situation where that can occur.

roughly translated, it says "if a Jedi /duel's a BH, and they do not see the "you have challenged %TT to a duel" message as a result, it means the BH has a mission on that Jedi"

and in common speak "hey bud...you know those random people who show up, whom you don't know and/or don't like, and hang around for no apparent reason? feel free to offer them a duel....it will be a fair stakes contest....and if it turns out it's a BH, instead of the duel, you'll get a heads up....and if you thought it was a BH all along, and you were right...good for you! here's confirmation, use the information as you will."

Sad to say but it is the BH community exploiting the /duel as to why it was put in that way.

It is you who needs to think before posting. A little common sense here please. /duel was not, has never been and most likely never will be intended for the use of being able to identify a BH who has your mark. /duel was created to allow same faction players and those who are not the ability to friendly battle eachother without having to deal with mass pvp.

/duel used to identify a BH who may or may not have a jedi's mission is an EXPLOIT, and exploiting is a violation of the EULA.

Now, I personally could care less about what you "think" an exploit is, because it IS defined in the EULA and it is something that needs to be and will sooner or later(most likely the latter due to poor SOE development) be addressed and fixed.

Now kindly go stick your nose in the corner for your ignorant response and when you believe you have a clue to whats actually going on here, please refrain from posting it because clearly you have your head so far up... that your evidently starving yourself of the oxygen needed to formulate an appropriate response.
