Thread: Is this true?

I was talking to a guy today who was looking to buy a Holocron. I have 4 and asked him what his offer was.

How long have you had them? If you've had them for longer than a week or so then you'd better take another look at them as they will have been shattered. All old Holocrons were shattered because they were useless; the new Holocrons provide hints on how to open your FSCS.

My question is this...if you have to kill dark jedi, force sensetive withches, or run missions on extremly difficult planets to get holocrons...unless your a master CH, how are you supposed to get these things?

I'm a Pistoleer (1-2-3-3) and I can kill these guys (it just takes a while and a lot of tactics). Don't go after the ones on Dathomir unless you've got a group. Head to Dantooine to find them. Well, normally you could head to Dantooine that is, but right now spawning isn't working right so the only reliable place to find them is the crystal cave in the north-west.

BTW, 50k for one of the new holocrons is a joke. Apperently one sold for 9 mil on some server.

I think its bogus rumors. There would be too many jedi soon if this were true. Plus SOE doesnt need to be worried about people not unlocking the slot. it was never promised.

You need to read the Dev's post more ofter or you would know that they have come to the conclusion that we were taking too long to unlock the FS slot and so decided to give us clues through new holocrons that are droppping from high lvl NPCs.

Thats sorta my point..."High Level NPC's". Ok I may be able to kill some on dantooine, but what about the weaponsmiths, DE's, armorsmiths, ect...ect...

It just doesnt seem right that unless you have to choose a combat/CH profession just to get clues how to open your FS slot. Just my 2 cents.

I read on this forum that if you started with a combat class the holocron tells you to master a noncombat class, and if you started with a noncombat class the holocron tells you to master a combat class. Is this true? If it were true I would think it would be complete B.S. that soe wants us to use a play style we don't like, or prefer, over other play styles to become a jedi.

Also.. I have read confirmations that rebel surface marshells drop holocrons. Is it true that these rebel surface marshels only drop them on Dantooine? How can I get rebel surface marshels to spawn? I can get level 81 missions, but the highest I believe I found was a specialforces general npc.. ??

1: No. Theyre based on someting entirely different, and we havent figured out the pattern to class assignment. Anything else is just rumor.

2: Ive seen posts that surface marshalls drop them, but Ive yet to see accompanying screenshots.

Good Luck!

I can spawn difficulty rating 285 missions with my at-st's and still don't get surface marshalls.

ran across this while reading the boards..

"hmm can't remember the link but Dev stated that all the current mount type pet would unable be trained, something to do with the pets have to be trained to be a mount during one of their growth phase."

yay or nay?

just wondering

Hmm would be nice to know, but I already have my BE ordered mounts waiting to be awakened. Still would be nice information.

I heard that the mount has to be tamed as a mount so if you have it already in your data pad already you won't be ridding it. Don't know if it's true though

From what I understand the current way it is, is that you when you go to tame a creature you get two options tame normally or tame as mount. If you tame it as a mount it will go to your datapad as a full grown creature but you will not be able to toggle it to a normal pet it will always remain a mount.

And I have heard that the creature must be at least 60% grown BEFORE you can tame it as a mount. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
