I thought that the very first time I saw saber throw in super empire strikes back. (for the snes) that was one of the moves you had.. and you used it constantly. it was better than the normal attack.
Since then, it has appeared in nearly every sw jedi game, yet it was never depicted in the movies the way it always has been in the games.
*shrug*
Never liked the ESB one... I couldn't even get past the first level

We are talking about a saber 'realistically' or 'context-base-realistically' being thrown 10 ft vs. 30 ft. vs. 100 ft.??? rofl
Man, we are one group of loosers having this conversation....can you see NERD written all over my forehead?

I think throwing one 100 ft is a little much, in all the movies never does it show a jedi force picking up a saber 100ft away.
30ft.. yeah
OK, I will give you that we never see a Jedi pick up a saber 100 feet away.
How bout a Jedi picking up an X-Wing over 100 yards away? Yeah I think we saw that one.
Jedi force throwing objects all over the place? Yup.
Maybe I am strange, but IMO, X-Wing > Lightsaber. It should be MUCH easer on the force user to pick up a little old saber and run it back to them. *wink*

If jedi can throw big chunks of machinery and bulkheads etc. at their opponent, I'm sure they can manage to lob a lightsaber at their foe.

Vader didn't manipulate his saber with the force. He just tossed the thing. We move it with the force, hense the heavier force cost. I've always felt that it belongs in the 4th line of powers (the one with telekinesis) to be honest, but I can see how that's unbalancing. Being rooted sucks big time, and saber throw offers a little bit of retribution if your opponent is within 32m.

If you want realism compared to what we have seen in the movies Jedi should have 99.9% sabre block, deflect bolts back and kill people, kill people with one hit, etc etc. And anyone in Imperial armor should get like -1000 accuracy.

By that same token a saber should chop your arms off and a direct shot by a BH to someones head should disintigrate it or at least put a large hole in it

LOL, this is by far the funniest thread of posts i have seen so far ont he forums... You guys crack me up....
But yeah, it is difficult to discuss it... I take it it sucks big time being a BH when Jedi use saber throw, but hey, if the game was build up in a way that everytime a BH met a Jedi the BH would win, how fun would it be being BH then?
Accept that Jedi have a few tricks up their sleves and then just try to take your precautions towards it...
