It is ridiculous, all their whining about how hard it is blah blah blah, and all they do is stand around doing nothing except for show off (they think we are impressed) I saw 5-6 Jedi at Bestine yesterday, all waiting for spec ops and ganking them one by one - no, it wasn't a big faction fight, just the odd one or two arriving..oh and killing every NPC in sight. So this is what they wanted to have it easy for is it?? And how many times do I have to get abuse thrown at me via /tells after a hunt gone bad by some utter child (one of which actually said he was 15 and I got all the 'ha ha ha u got pwn'd by a kid' and the same one was /telling me that I was a 'stub'!!?? Well, now that BH has been decimated and I am utterlt P***ed off with the Devs for being so damn ignorent I think I will quit.

Just one question for the Devs. Why couldnt you just REDUCE or STOP the jedi xp loss??? I would rather have it the old way and have have that than what you gits have done to us. All this trouble when you lot could ahve just done something so damn easy, I mean, the Jedi will have no probs losing xp now any way, no one will hunt them. WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY???

You only say 5-6 at Bestine yesterday? Wow, you must be on a very low population server.
The only way I support reducing or stopping the Jedi XP loss is by bringing back permadeath. There MUST be a penalty for being the 1.5 "alpha" class.

I agree with SOME penalty, but permadeath for a profession that is only 1.5 times as strong as any other (I won't debate that issue, though there's not really a 1.5 times the strength present now or NO single BH would EVER win. This would be like a CL 80 fighting a CL 60.)

If you make a profession premanently overt AND subject to attacks by a profession that is given a WP to the character, make it ONLY 1.5 times stronger AND give it a permadeath penalty requiring the player to re-grind 36.5 million xp (at 1/5th the rate of a standard profession, and with no ability to kill anything until MLS, that means over 183 million XP equivalent.

How do you think that this would be a fair system? How about perma-death for a BH who loses a single mission? After all, the BH gets to chose when and IF the attack happens. I don't think that people would be very happy with that. Oh, change it to three times before permadeath but make the BH permanently overt of jedi....(at least that way you aren't getting killed by ATATs that spawn on top of you. LOL)

I don't think that permadeath would be fair unless a jedi were able to handle the entire 8 person groups that would come after them. This wouldn't be fair either, so let's just let permadeath die. It doesn't apply in a game where a profession is made permanently overt and the player is fairly well balanced such that a death is likely.

You said: I agree. Now if only we can find a 1.5 times profession to apply it to.

I've re-read it lots of times. I've clearly stated that the devs have said that Jedi are a 1.5 profession. You are clearly in contrast to that (meaning: you are saying the devs - who are the only official source here - aren't saying Jedi are 1.5) Where are you getting this information?

Oh, I agree. Permadeath really is too much. This initial poster just said "get rid of XP loss," which is completely nuts (unless we're back to permdeath.)

Gee. You don't say. Until it comes from a dev (or even from a dev via Tanks is fine) it's all just (your "Jedi troll") speculation.

Again - there's nothing official that a full template BH is even with a full template Jedi.

I'm not saying it's impossible to killthem (again, some Jedi just plain suck, esp the /afk grinders,) but given even footing, food, player skill, weaponry, etc, Jedi are a 1.5 profession. Now, I've read Tanks last 30 posts, and have seen nothing to the contrary...

Some BH suck. Some Jedi suck. But in an even match, the Jedi will win, hands down.

Read what I wrote AGAIN. Tanks said that the devs felt it was pretty close with the changes in Pub 19. What do you need? A burning bush?

I've now read 80 (well skimmed) of Tanks' posts, and am doing a thorough search of dev posts in another window, as well. If you wish to post a link, please do. I should add, your words meaning nothing to me. Tanks, possibly. Devs, definately. Yours' - not a thing. Show me your damned burning bush, if you will. Not Tanks saying "well, I think...," show me a specific response from a dev (or via Tanks from a dev.) Yes, I want a burning bush...

tanks says that with the healing changes in 19 and our "first strike" ability, that the devs feel its pretty close.i believe once they take into account that our first strike ability has been taken away with cloak being so easy to use to escape a fight and come back when the jedi is ready, and the ability for a jedi to cloak, target us, /duel us to check if we've got their mission and then either leave or continue grinding once they figure out if we've got their mission, we really don't have a "first strike" advantage.
