I'm kinda confused on the entire speed cap deal. If you have +100 pistol speed what exactly does that do? Also, if you are a Master Pistoleer/Shock Trooper with +79 speed, can you fire at the speed cap with a certain speed gun? How do you calculate this?

Wow thats a great site, gonna use that a lot more often. It was really interesting to see that the best shots I can use with my new DE-10 ( http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=67271
are all shots I wouldn't have suspectedfor dps. Going to be readjusting my specials right away depending on what weapons I have equiped, thanks =)

Keep in mind, weapons do 1.5 times what they show in /examine. That damage calculator doesn't account for it. Doesn't really matter for speed or damage comparisons, but it's just something good to know.

i really hope so..... the speed cap SHOULD be hard to hit.... very incredibly hard to hit with normal crafted guns (ie, just resources, no loot)
this would also alleviate some pain from the dreaded speed slices on those uber pistols

In my main proffesion(Rifleman) it has been discovered that with only a +7 SEA you reach the speed cap. I was wondering if the number is known for master pikeman?

Well +25 is the cap bonus you can get from any SEAs for any mod...

its about +15-17 i think (well i only have +13 and its on the 1 hit/sec on my 5.3 speed LVA)

This is for Swordman using 2 handed hit 3, the slowest attack. For Pikeman its about the same.

For pike, the worst-case scenario is with a 6.7 speed polearm using hit3, you would need +95 speed to hit the cap, +93 for a more normal 4.4 speed polearm. This means that without master brawler, you need +18 - +20 in attachments to do this since at master pike we only have +75 speed. Master brawler adds +5 to polearm speed. Why rifleman has +90 is one of the bizaare mysteries of SWG.

I have studied that SAME thing. That and the Damage multiples and speed multiplues for specials.
The Speed cap for Pike is 1.5 to be able to use ALL specials at the speed cap of 1/sec.
