I agree that having to work with Jedi for getting the armour is a bit silly, but however i like the fact that it is so hard to get. I would hate for it to become any easier i think th eDWB is one fo the best parts of the game and it would be a shame to loose that. It is actually possible to go down there with a team of no Jedi. The best solution I think woyuld be to give a reason for Jedi to be discouraged for getting visiblity even full temps and then they wouldnt want to be going down there all the time.

We need to have a "Hard" mode in this game and thats exactly what the DWB please dont take away from that.

  3. Mando-armor is supposed to be rare, rare, super rare...

If you dont want to group with jedi, fine. I understand that. You dont seem to like them. But what is wrong with melee? Get some of those and do DWB-Runs.

But you will need hundreds of those runs (jedi or not) to loot your stuff for mando.

btw: Where do you fill in SL and Ranger (and IIRC Commando) in your new way to get Mando? Skinxx Bols for a visit? Leadxx groups? Burnxx NPC?

AGAIN! Stop using this argument. Jedi were supposed to be super rare. We saw as many people wearing Mando armor in ESB and ROTJ as we saw Mandalorian Armor. 1 Jedi (yoda) 1 Mando wearing BH (boba). Luke was not a jedi. If Jedi are rare, and mando is rare, with the 1 to 1 relationship, there should be atleast 500 full suits of mandalorian armor on my server as there is easilly that many jedi. Yet there's 1 maybe 2 full suits of mando on our server (kauri). The "rare" bullcrap needs to stop, this game has thrown that out the window long ago.

I agree 100%

OK... excuse me... It seems I was wrong.

It is great to have loads of Jedi and it will be great to have everybody running around in Mando... Do you get my point now maybe?

If not:

- Jedi used to be rare and everybody was like "Ohhh, Ahhhh, Uhhhh!" when they saw one.

-Jedi are pretty common now and everybody is like "Eeeek, another Jedi, dont spoil my gameplay!"

Do you want to be Mando like Compo pre-CU? Do you really want that?

OK, I agree that they should raise the drop-rate for the components a bit. But as I said: You dont need Jedi for the DWB and we always have BHs on our runs on Chimaera. And I only used my Jedi one time down there to get the badge. I usually use my alt for that.

But hey, I dont really care. I have no single part for Mando, dont aim for it or anything.

But dont blame the Jedi when everybody is running around in Mando...

a typical " I'm special but you shouldn't be" post from a jedi....

Why shouldn't there be loads of Mando wearing people along with the loads of jedi, why should you be special and no one else can be?

Do you even read what you write?

I am for keeping Mando special, the status Jedi has lost!

But its seems you would even disagree with me when I said that the earth is not flat nor the middle of the universe... only because I have a Jedi and must be wrong...

I disagree

If we say want Jedi to be rare, but then when they are not we ask for a rare BH thing to become common and easy, just because Jedi arnt rare, we are hypocrites.

Keep Mando at the current level of difficulty, its so much fun struggling down the bunker with w group of non jedi, just dont allow the jedi down there.

I would tend to agree, leave mando the way it is, just because theres so many globrats around is no excuse for BH to whine till they allget mando as well. I LIKE it that theres stuff in the game I havent got, I LIKE the fact that I can be individual in the game, I would hate it if all BH wandered around in mando seeing a couple of sets every day would soon give it the same irritation factor as a glo-stick Leave mando just the way it is. I like seeing it very rarely In fact I think I have yet to see a full set, I would like to see it kept that way.

Otherwise why not just have a character selection screen where you choose your template, your items etc and do away with character development. Theres enough things in the game that are broken lets leave mando the way it is, its doable, if you want it badly enough its there. One dayI will turn my attention to mando and when I get tehre I want it to be a reward for hard work.

This is the reason I WILL NOT have a jedi character its too easy its too common. If mando armour became as easy to get as jedi, I would probably just have a set sat in my house. Please SOE KEEP STUFF RARE the Mando process is just fine the way it is. Ive known groups go through jedi free and suceed. At the moment there is no content out there that the Alpha class are requried for, they just makenormal contenteasy. I prefer to take a good solid group of normal friends through hellish content and survive by the skin of your teeth, or die in the attempt. RISK makes things funINDIVIDUALITY makes things fun. Baubels and Trinkets are not my thing.

I believe Ive worn mando in the PVP side of Jedi accadamy vs Jedi, yeah cool, fun for a few days, Galaxies should be more than that, its a huge game. With so many possiblities It shouldnt be reduced to strutting around with a glostick or pretending to be boba fett

You know how to get it, go for it.

I WOULDNT want it given to me, I pay for this game to play it, tough dungeons are one of the things that make this game fun. Bolls Pickets and assorted NPC's are not much fun. I like going through the squill caves with a smallgroup of lvl 20's, I like going though the ryatt trails with small groups of lower levels. I think for me theres more satisfaction from a job well done than from the owning of a object. Take for example my professions main weapon the Katarn Knuckles, Ive purchased 4 sets so far, as pure tools, yet I still went through all the hours of the ryatt trail to earn my own set, and that set will be the ones I adk, they are identical to every other set Ive brought, but THEY are the ones Ive earnt the hard way. I didnt takea gank squad of jedi with me I went through it in a group of 3 where I was the only lvl 80, we had a lvl 62 and a 73, and at times we had to fend off large groups of elite lvl 81's etc. That experience makes it all worthwhile. The Object at the end isnt the reward its the experience of getting there. I dont pay my subscription fees in the hope of becoming the uber leet guy with the most showy armour in the game, I detest bol grinding, I detest the super fast lvling and lvl 80 only attitude, its a waste of a good game. Whats fun about clicking on a bol then spamming an attack whilst 7 others do the same thing?

Not enough people in my guild to support such an endever...I want to keep it rare but its insane what you have to go through just to get a chance to get a full suit. I would like to keep it that way.

I've been sitting here lately thinking about the BH profession and what it would take to make it a little more interesting for us all. The new NPC missions is really great for us in many ways and it is one of the steps that will move us towards a greater more enjoyable playing experience. However one thing that seems to bother most of the older BH veterans is that you have to be grouped with the one profession you hate to get Mando Armor.

So I propose a solution. This may have been covered before but I thought that it would be very enjoyable to see happen. The Jedi, when becoming force sensitive get the old man, and there in lies the beginning of their journey and the solution to our dilema.

How about this:

Once a player becomes a Master Bounty Hunter, he will be able to hunt Player Jedi. (this is already done)

However, when the Master Bounty Hunter gets a kill, he receives a token or flag in his Quest Journal. After 20 kills the Master Bounty Hunter gets a visit from Boba Fett who in turns gives the BH a Bounty Hunter Backpack (Jetpack minus the flying ability) and a full suit of Mando Armor. From here, the BH can visit Boba Fett somewhere and trade in XP for numerous items or skills.

Some of the items would be like the following:

1. a component to turn the Backpack given by Boba into a flying model. (note: Backpack and Mando Armor are non decay like Jedi Robes)

2. a stealth shield that would make the BH cloakable just like the Jedi, however to give the Jedi a little warning, the BH would shimmer like the glass snakes do (ala the Predator movie)

3. a powerful rifle or novice flamethrower.

4. innate abilities or skills.

Major Note - All Items given to the player would be non tradeable and unusable by any other profession.

I just wanted to put this out there and get some of your thoughts on this. The ultimate goal would be to become just as stronger as a full template jedi. However getting to that goal would take just as long as it would for a Jedi to go from Padawan to Knight.

So what do you think?

/agree Not bad, but I think 20 might be too small a number, perhaps 30-40 or even 50? Mando armor is supposed to be so rare that Boba Fett posses the only known sets. Then the DWB was introduced and messed all that up. I think it's funny that you will kill like 100 DWB guys that are wearing mando, but you can't loot it off their dead corpse.

Might be cool if Boba Fett comes to visit you and gives you some kind of broken piece like the above mentioned, but then you would still have to go to the DWB and loot pieces from the dudes (on a mission series from Mr. Fett) to get it "fixed" by an armorsmith.

What I find really irritating is that while it's nice that we have new missions that pull boss marks down... the loot that can be sold for the most are the Jedi SEAs. Isn't that kinda ironic? We make a cool 5-10mil off a sweet SEA but sell it to a Jedi on our server, that will make them TOUGHER to kill? That's lunacy to me.

honestly, i'd have to say ATLEAST 400 kills, because it's suposed to be EXTREEMLY rare

So were jedi. That "rare" argument is null and void. There were exactly the same amount of suits of mando armor as there were Jedi in ESB and ROTJ. 1 to 1. (Luke was NOT a Jedi until the End, was a pady newb). So I'm sick of hearing the rare bullcrap. It should be no harder for a MBH, MRanger, MSL, or MCommando to get mandalorian than it is for any toon to become a Jedi. And let's face it, it's freaking retardedly easy to become a full templated jedi now.

Two wrongs do NOT necessarily make a right.

QFE, Just like people said if people want to be jedi let them be jedi, Now is the time to let people Recover Mandalorian Armor if they want, Let them, We really need more content.. I say over 100 or so Jedi Kills you recieve Componets to making or a Peice or Mandalorian Armor or Technology..

Say you kill 50 Jedi.. You are Approached by an Figured that turns off his Stealth generator in full Mandalorian armor the convo can be like '' Who are you, I thought all mandalorians are dead?..''

The Mysertious figure could be like ''Ive been watching you *insert name here*, You look like an worthy warrior, the mandalorians are in need of people like you'' etcetc

You could start from the bottom on up, Getting mandalorian technology than moving up to the armor.. This could be quest bases for all Professions ... MSL/Mcommando/MBH....etc

Let people have the choice to be mandalorian or get mandalorian technology/armor such as jedi are given a choice, Wake up people we need more content.

we are one of the professions with the most content, we have had so much attention over the last few months.

Mandalorian Armour is already available and there is well over 100 hours of gameplay there.

Please the last thing we want is for the best part of the game to be dumbed down
