Strictly speaking, it's a win for the Jedi in both scenarios. He/she got away, you didn't kill him/her. They keep their XP, you don't get paid. You lose.

i would say a draw in both cases.
cause if a jedi runs in any case thats not the end of the hunt, not for me anyways. 3 more days or however much time is left on his ticket, of waiting to drop the sucker.
But since a BH is supposed to be spending his time and money hunting jedi, if you force a jedi to go afk in a house or space, or log out...especailly if they're doing somehting like spin grouping or SF'ing against your faction (or for lol, i see no difference between imps who will help rebs get stronger in spin groups and vice versa)...then you could argue some semblence of victory, since you made alteast 1 jedi, if not several jedi, weaker slightly, by running them off the planet...
oh and its defintely a "W" if he decides to stay logged out for the 3 days, or even better the 2 weeks for his viz to drop lol...ain't war hell...

yah id say if the jedi runs then it's not a win loss or a draw, just continued. But shows the dedication of BH for sure

I say the BH in both cases. I am obviously a BH. LOL. everybody has their own perspective here. I have a jedi toon as well but have always had more fun with ranged templates. When i take jedi bounty missions.... i do it to fight jedi. I could care less about the credits. for the time and items ( droids, food/drink/spice) invested in hunting jedis.... even if i were to db 100% of the time... that is probably only 750k an hour optimally. They don't drop any uber loot either. There are far easier ways to make credits in this game. So when i go hunt jedi it is just for the fight. If They run away at any point, i consider it a victory......kinda like a forfeit. I can see the jedi point of view for considering fleaing a victory as well, it is just their goals are different.

If the mission isn't ended in some way no1 wins. if you think about it if the BH cancels the mission the Jedi in turn won. Because the BH was not persistant enough

It's a loss for the BH in both cases. His job is to kill his mark, anything less than that is failure. If the Jedi escapes whether before the fight starts, or at the end of, if the Jedi escapes, he wins, the BH loses.

If im not payed, either by my client or my mark, i have lost.
Although by making the jedi run i know that i had the caperbilty to kill him, just not stop him.
people that count it as a win do so to boost there own ego, and i don't blame jedi for running as they have nothing to gain, and everything to lose.

/bow to all and I respect each BH's terms of success.
If I dont get paid or paid off then I loose in my book. I will admitt gettin em to run away is a tad pleasing BUT I have seen em run....then 3 hours later got the same mark and he was more then ready this time...whooped up on me to lol.

Because in both cases the Jedi forfit the fight. If the BH runs out of mind and runs off same rules apply, they forfit the fight so they loose.
Work's the same in any fight. If I'm SF and another SF person sees me and starts shooting, if I run off and evade death I still lost the fight.

BUT!!!
If I had a great fight and learned from the encounter, I learned so much more as aBH and experienced some real personal growth...lol...
Although, I'd say unless I'm a corpse, the Jedi didn't really WIN either...
