My solution is:
Make your own macros, and if you run into someone using the cooldown bypass macrosuse yours right back.

I will not exploit or cheat.... Period!
Maxil ---- thats the screen shots I get on 8 out of 10 of my missions. I would show no bias to any person using this. It is a perfect example of improper use of a game mechanic to gain an unfair advantage, hense an exploit and the persons involved in the use of these macro need to be stopped. This is the heart of my protest, all of this is going on and SWG/SOE sits silent on the topic. They say a screen shot isn't usable as evidence because it can be doctored. The answer to this is if anyone files a doctored screen shot their accout is canceled imediately anyone show using this exploit gets a 2 week suspension the first time and an account ban the second time. Its really easy to take a screen shot of your combat log so evidence can be held on both sides.
This garbage has got to stop

Eye for an eye rationale doens't seem appropriate to this. While revenge is a natural emotion, and losing to a cheater is not only annoying, it's wrong... still... I disengage from fights where people use these types of tactics.
My stance has nothing to do with revenge. it mearly has to do with turning the tables on the cheater. So far I have yet to use any of the macros in PvP. However if I' m going aginst an opponent who's hitting me for 800 every second I WILL pop a macro and hit him right back for 900 every second. There fore I'm effectly taking away any advantage the opponent had.
If that's not a good enough solution for those who "never ever cheat or exploit" you may as well stop playing right now. This bug/exploit has been around for quite some time, and for the time being the devs and CSR's have made it quite clear that they either can't or won't do anything about it.
:::sigh:::
On a side note. Sometime ago, my combat spam changed from "Legead hits TARGET with Advanced Critical hit for 800 points of damage!" to "Legead hits TARGET for 800 points of damage"
Where did the specials description go? Is this an option somewhere in either CNTRL O or the GUI options?
Yes. Go to the chat options and scroll down. there is a spot where it says simple or verbose combat message. When you click verbose some new options open that let you select displaying shot used, armor absorbsion, and somthing else but I forget what.

He's not suggesting cheating or exploiting at all. He IS suggesting that you look at your cooldown timers and find out which attacks can be used as other cooldown timers are counting down. There are usually at least 2 or 3 attacks that can be used by most templates in quick succession since they work on different cooldown timers.
Cool for him, to bad this thread had NOTHING to do with that. Grats!
This thread is about the exploit using a bypass to your current skills timer. That means a skill that has a 30 second refresh, using this exploit will have 0 refresh. BH, Jedi alike can do it. Does that mean I should do it also? Hell no.
Honestly, the only way we are going to get Sony to look at it, will come at the expense of our own accounts... because if we all went around for a month and got every bounty hunter to use it, the jedi would cry so loud the devs would HAVE to fix it.
EDIT: AND WHY CANT I POST USING MOZILLA =( EQ2 pages work fine.

Easiest way to sort it would be to remove all macro's from the game (tough luck on lazy people and on the entertainers, but I've always been at a loss why people subscribe to let there toon stand AFK - macro's suck, end of story).
I've beaten every BH that has come for me with ease, and not had a fight last over a few minutes and have never had to resort to exploiting or cheating like those using the timers (same with hunting Jedi - proud to say my side of every fight is totally fair). If they are found doing it, they should not be banned, but have their whole profession wiped
Just my 2 credits
It can be done without macros and I have had numerous bounty hunters try it on me now (no, not saying one side does it more). Because of this, nearly every Jedi I know doesn't log in. I only log my Jedi in to finish grinding pilot and am not on ground enough to be tracked before I logout or launch again.
This bug has been in game since this broken POS CU was forced live. So we get one broken combat system replaced with another one. Both are viable if SOE would bother TRYING to fix it right.

If Cheating is allowed, and your opponent is cheating, would you not cheat equally to even the playing field?

nope
