Thread: Excuse me while I vent a bit...

You choose to use your powers or flash your saber in public? Then you choose to allow yourself to be on the terminals and that choice means other players will hunt you. Don't like it? Then either be discreet or play a different profession.
Wanna bet? I was in a group a couple days ago, and we were near someones house, he came out of his house and stood beside our group, on purpose just to give us vis. He even admitted this. That's just one of the examples.

Although I can understand why this would upset you, what did you expect by hunting in a populated area? There was a post in the Jedi forums a few days back by a paddie asking for advice on how to avoid vis. The response was to make the radar bigger and to stop what you where doing as soon as a blue dot appeared on it. Sound advice if you ask me /shrug
We were out in the middle of nowhere on tatooine. Try again. I think the post you're referring to was created by me infact lol..

And that's not what gave you vis... using your powers around him gave you vis. Again, your choice. It's the risk you take, but no one can make you whip out your saber or shoot off your powers.
That would be like a criminal blaming the witness for the commission of the crime. You're hunted because someone saw you do something - they didn't make you do it, and you have no one to blame but yourself.

At some point it just gets stupid and believe it or not we have better things to do with our time then stand there until you either kill us or get bored and drop the mission. So for those that do run, more power to them. You may think you are hurting them by slowing down their grind, but the majority of us have BH alts and log them in to get the new loot and sell them for millions lol.

No I think you're just making silly assumptions.. Until you try doing it you can't really comment and tell me what I should or shouldn't be doing..
There's no assumption involved... it's very simple: If you don't want to be hunted, stay off the terminals. You're the only person that has total control over that. Stop blaming other people for the consequences of your lack of discretion, such irresponsibility is something I'd expect from a child, not a Jedi. I don't care if it makes it difficult for you, the choice is ultimately yours.
No one can put you on the terminal - only you can do that. If you don't want to be hunted, be more careful. If you can't, then accept that you will be hunted.

You didn't notice a bloody HOUSE? That's not "hard to grasp", that's just downright obtuse.
If you're not paying enough attention, it's nobody else's fault. Sounds to me like you're too wrapped up in the thrill of being "uber" to worry about being discreet.
Well until you try to avoid VIS as a Jedi you never think about how many house, pc and npc there are. You can drive out to the middle of no where and have some one drive by on a speeder etc. Of course that being said I never got on the boards until I completed my templte and went nuts killing Jawas/Tusks and doing mission on Kash, I was so bored killing mobs and wanted to do missions/quests. I think this is why Ankian went dark side,he just had to hunt those Tusk he was tired of not doing anything but grinding
