Thread: Bounty Hunters... what can Dev do Right Now??
G, for the first time since I bought this game in August I actually feel sorry for you guys. You are making a good change here, and trying to satisfy a long forgotten profession. Will you get any props for doing it? No, because people can't see the forrest from the trees. It's a good move, and I truely believe you'll make other enhancements in the future. There is only 1 issue, you have to drop the 5 sec delay on weapon changing. The armor is fine but the weapons severly hampers BH which is designed to rely on 3 weapons. You've go to change that, no matter what YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THIS TO KEEP BH COMPETITIVE. If you don't think I'm right I'd like you personally to tell me why I'm wrong.

We are going to remove the Trapping, Hunting, and Survival Scout lines from the Bounty Hunter prerequisites.
This should give you and additional 48 skill points to add to the 33 you had left over for a total of 81 additional point to spend as you please.
This is something that we have been considering for a long time, and wanted to do as part of the CB, but we need you to be as effective as possible against Jedi as soon as possible. This is a start.
Your other issues are known, and in varying stages of development, but we want you to know that things are going to get better. Hopefully rapidly.
This change will be hitting Test Center tomorrow afternoon, and should be Live by Friday.

says the TKM as he polishes up his VKs ready for some jedi pounding. No its not a good move for BH, its an admission by the devs that they cannot be arsed to think of a meaningfull way to make being a BH or a MBH worthwhile.
Please stop being naive, its not being done for BHs its being done because the devs know they have screwed balance and jedi control by removing TEF when they pull out a sabre in public, its being done as a half assed attempt to implement a way for the other combat profs to be able to pick up invest line while still retaining the functionality of their own combat style without having to handicap themselves by taking the BH combat boxes.
Wake up its you who can't see the forrest from the trees.

I agree but the developers disagree. That's why they are going to drop the prereqs so that more people can hunt you down and make your life hard through experience debt. BH is the control to Jedi, and it appears to be the only reason we are even getting looked at right now.
As for me I have no desire to bring it to you. You can go play with the other Jedi from now on.
Or maybe it's showing their laziness, or their too focused on the SE thinking that's their money maker and pushing the actual SWG under the rug.
BH will become the next dabbling prof... fotm... know what happens? It gets too powerful, and it'll end up what happened to CH.
I could see it now, a BH dabbled in boutny pistol line, or bounty carbine line, then master pistoleer if he goes bh or master carbineer if he goes the carbine route. Then he should have enough point to dabble in the other range defense. So now you have these BH with super accuracy with pistoleer or carbine, putting fencer's defense line to shame, making the master carbineer or pistoleer dabbled in the pistol line become the next range TKA...
Or even better, they don't even have to master anything, just dabble in the accuracy modifer in pistoleer for bh pistol, or same with carbine, then dabble in all the defense line in the range combat prof. You know how nasty that will be?
This is just going to end up opening a pandemonium of problems, then you have more issues that you have to try and balance on your hand..
I couldn't agree with this more. Just glad other players are seeing it too.
