Thread: Bounty Hunters... what can Dev do Right Now??

I have been playing this game since its launch.I have been fairly happy with the whole thing until I became a BH .I dont think taking away the requirements to be a bount hunter is the right way to go.I know there have been lots of complaints about the DEV'S not doing anything with this profession.I for one don't want a quick fix the way JUSTG is talking about.I also beleive BH should be a stand alone prof.It takes alot to become one and I also dont want to see dabblers in the BH Prof.BH is a commitment and should stay that way.I for one would rather wait and have the DEV'S do it right and fix the combat for BH.If the want to do something fix the current Bugs first.I believe as Bounty Hunters we should have more specific gadgets at our command I will not go into detail it has been talked to death about.To the DEV'S I know you guys get alot of grief and people dont understand what you guys go through because I have read the same complaining in the ranger forums and others.But every prof. has gotten attention but ours.Just be straight with us and let us know whats going on.I am not giving the game up yet.Over all I still love this game but BH needs to be the feared Prof.I mean Han Solo was worried about them at current we Bounty Hunters are a joke .So PLEASE DO IT RIGHT! No quick fixes please.Thanks For your time.

True brothers of the BH profession, cant you see whats going on here ? We are betrayed my brothers and we are being pimped out to every other combat profession like a $2 hooker on prom night.
This isn't being done to help us, its simply being done to reduce the SP cost so its easier for everyone and their mother to go out and woop jedi ass. The Devs know they have screwed it royal with publish 9 and jedi are gonna be ruuning amuck unchecked every where.
They know the reduced MBH to a pathetic piece of crap so rather than actually make our current 217sp worth something they have just reduced the pre reqs so the uber jedi bashing TKA / fencer types can control the Jedi numbers. Hell the devs actually said Jedi should fear TKA. The devs know they scred up by removing Jedi tef so to compensate they have just made it that bit easier for everyone else to pick up BH Investigation rather than making us worthwhile.

Hey Gonz,
See my two bullet points on my first post in this thread. I think they are both acheivable by friday.
Changing the LLC to a rifle should be nothing more than a chance to a DB and adjusting the accuracy/speed to be inline with the other two weapon trees should be simple. Adding defenses into the investigation tree should also be a simple fix with simply an adjustment to a few lines in a DB as well. Both those changes would go a long way to helping out MBH. I dont agree with jedi missions being moved to MBH as I did all of investigation 4 on jedi missions, and yes this took a long bloody time, darn exploiters, rooftop macroers, ganksquad flunkies etc.

Why should we settle from the slops out of the pig bin ? becasue in effect thats what we are getting, the devs obviously cant be arsed to code us a proper set of fixes so they are just letting the rank and file into our profession as a way to correct the mistakes they have made by making Jedi virtual omnipotent in patch 9 with removal of TEFs.
Its not right and we shouldn't be happy with such a crappy fix. Remember they aint doing it to make BH better they are just doing it so more leet combat profs can step up to the plate and do ur jobs for us

Yeah, I think BH should take all 250 skill points, and give them way better abilities. it would be better than taking away trees for more skill points imo.

Maybe I am just disappointed.
It might be for the best, at least I can keep bounty hunting and also hit up the FOTM for pvp. Wouldn't be surprised now that our skills are easier to come by that we end up as part of the FOTM.
Good for us if lots more people play or enjoy bh as that will get the profession more attention. Just unfortunate that they didn't think of other ways to makebh more powerful one on one or use specials in very cool ways. With this change that won't be possible because so many other profession will have access to it and we will be out of balance. We will be stuck with the same tactics as everyone else in the game, instead of something different and powerful in it's own way or situation.

Which is exactly why they should move Jedi Hunting to MBH, so we can step up to the plate and do our jobs...

Is this the way that you devs decided to make BH high offense/medium defense? I thought you were actually going to fix the profession. Do you realize how many people are going to pick up BH now? It is going to bethe newFlavor of the Month and then BH will get nerfed. Do yourselves a favor and find another way.
I guess you want every single person in the game to be some sort of hybrid? BH should still be required to get the Survival line. Every BH would have these skills as a part of their basic training. Removing Trapping and Hunting is really good enough.... and it's still not hte best way to fix BH.
Instead of giving in to the whining babies, how about fixing the specials, adding some defense, some better skill mods, better specials or anything like that. Everyone knows this is a quick fix and it will only serve to blow up in your face later when you have to nerf it. Please just do it right the first time.

i love the idea! i think if they move jedi hunting to mbh then our profession will be almost perfect! we can get more weapons, we can get massive def! fi the llc was more accurate i woudl be happy but that is life! what you people need to see is THE IS THE BEST THING that has happened to bounty hunter since the game started, we are heading up. not down. of course we cried and whined like little kids to get it i woudl liek to see the rifle line removed also but i seriously dont want to face a mbh/mtk. bounty hunter is a solo profession. I can once agian hold my head high and say YES I AM A MASTER BOUNTY HUNTER!People will think about the fact that i may be a master carbineer , or master pistoleer. or a combo of both. i may have medic skills or tka .
this is the best thing that could happen to bounty hunter and hardly any of you HAVE THANKED TANKS! i woudl like to thank the devs also , i know we hit you hard but we "were" very very very upset!

I think removing hunting/survival/rifle would be better, that still gives us humaniod traps eventually, and people really want that. If you do this move Jedi Hunting to Master...and get someone to up the mission pay outs.
Also....you drop this on the community and now where are you? Getting your butt back in here and talking about it would probably be a very good idea.
BTW, i'm for fixing the class as is. But if you are going to drop, drop what I said.
