Thread: Kiting

Just curious as to how many of you kite and how many stand toe-to-toe with jedi. I, myself, have always been a kiter and enjoy the challenge of keeping a jedi out of range. However, I've been thinking that maybe I should take the CM route for better heals and let the jedi hit me to drain the force out of them faster.
Your thoughts...
As terrain neg is a prerequisite for BH I have always thought that I may as well use it to my advantage as much as possible (it takes 4 skill boxes I want something back from it). As soon as I suspect the /follow macro being used against me I am running straight up the nearest hill. Standing on top of a hill picking off the guy in pyjamas WALKING SLOWLY up the hill is quite satisfying
. On Dant the deepergullies and dry river beds are ideal, into gully to break LOS, run up other side, stand on bank firing while the Jedi crawls down and then up hill. Remember TN works going down hill as well as going up
. It is also one skill that most Padys cant afford to keep very long ![]()
Also, I prefer to stay out of range of Jedis weapons as much as I can.
If you go toe to toe like you say you will have to hope your mind and action bars outlast the jedis force bar, the first depleted bar belongs to the dead guy.

Why kite? You lose accuracy and damage output. Get some decent armor and food and being hit by a glowstick doesn't hurt much. It is kind of funny seeing my combat log:
SomeJedihits you for 167 damage
You hitSomeJedi for 1190 damage
SomeJedihits you for 123 damage
You hitSomeJedi for1045 damage
SomeJedi turns to run as he see's he's about to get a whole lot of dead
You critical hit SomeJedi for 1895 damage
You incapped SomeJedi Mission complete!
Jedi who stand toe to toe with me with a lightsaber don't last too long.
I hate the kd, thats why. And they are going (if not already) to fix armor break. That is going to royally suck.
Thanks for the replies. This is exactly what I'm looking for.
Keep them coming...

I kite sometimes, I try to stay outta melee range and inside saberthrow.. they use a lot of force throwing the flashlight at me for 100 damage.
That's a great point!
Dallow=worst kiter ever! LOL ![]()
You should see this guy kite, Its just not right I tell you. I had to finally stop following and run behind a pvp base wall to break LoS and keep him within my range....thats when we decided a tie would be best =) If you can learn to go toe to toe then youd have all your bases covered
