How far is far away enough not to see me? How far can someone "actively keep an eye on me?"

Apparently the Devs' answer to that was 20m.

Using cloak against a Bounty Hunter isn't an "I WIN" button.

It's a "this is not a time when I want to fight" button.

And you cannot, I repeat, can NOT compare the Feign Death problems of old with your current beef with Cloak.

First off - Feign Death was on a low box of Smuggler. Could be obtained very easily by grinding Padawans, low level Padawans, and used specifically to avoid BH's.

Cloak is a Tier 4 Jedi skill. That's 3,200,000 Jedi xp. That is NOT any kind of comparison to the comparitively small amount of xp required to Feign Death before it was nerfed.

More like 1,620,000 if you count the novice box

Umm...NO? I did mistype that, it's 3,020,000 xp - not 3.2 million.

But, anyways, count with me. You can use your fingers if need be.

20,000 - Novice

200,000 - x1xx Powers

400,000 - x2xx Powers

800,000 - x3xx Powers

1,600,000 - x4xx Powers (you gain Force Cloak ability)

Ok, basic addition problem, here:

800,000 + 400,000 + 200,000 = 1,400,000

1,400,000 + 1,600,000 = 3,000,000 and add 20,000 to that.

3,020,000 total xp for Force Cloak. Including the Novice box.

Maybe it should be increased to 80m for PCs - 20m for NPCs.

I have kill a 219000, 250000, 260000 but both of my 221000 marks where force cloakers one didn't want to fight and just sat there while i throw posion on him.

Cloak is fine. Its not an "I WIN" button, its a "NEITHER OF US WIN" button. You'll never be killed by a Jedi under cloaked (cept for "Oh noes, sploitz!", but even those are supposedly fixed in next patch). But lets assume you're successful in this little campaign and the Devs make it so that cloak is disabled while a Jedi has a BH tef. What's next? How about force run 3? How about stasis? What about parwan? All those can be used for the Jedi to get away from you. And lets face it, at the heart of all these complaints about cloak, that's what's being asked for: "Make it so the Jedi has to stay and fight me to the death." I understand why you want that. This is your content and your money making source, after all, and I can understand how it can be frustrating to have your mark run from you. But quite frankly, I don't think you're ever gonna get that. Its the Jedi's life (and XP) at stake, and if they want to run from you then they should be able to use their skills and abilities to do so.

Well the devolopers got rid of feign death in Pvp. I think Cloak should go in Pvp. Its the very exact same concept here why should a jedi get this (I win) button. You cannot kill a force cloaker even if they choose to fight all they have to do is KD and walk 20 meters away and cloak. I play on starsider and have been playing full templates this entire mourning. I have kill a 219000, 250000, 260000 but both of my 221000 marks where force cloakers one didn't want to fight and just sat there while i throw posion on him. Another one decided to fight I would get him low mind and force and he would KD me and force cloak and med up again. The only way to uncloak a cloaker is to ae KD them but its kind of useless because they can just reforce cloak. Any jedi who says they have to give things up to be a force cloaker is full of it. 28 points total for an I win button. Smuggler feign death require alot more points than that (roughly 70points). This is my plea for something to be done with this issue.

why is it that when I attempt to attack someone using FD all I get is "Invalid Target"?? I can attack them once they are up, but when they FD it's just that lame annoying "Invalid Target" spam. At least pre-CU you could still attack them and drain their HAM so they had no fighting chance if they ever tried to get up and rejoin the battle.

Then I'll fight to get *every* root, snare, concussion, et al nerfed too. No way in Hades you should be able to kite me and keep me from running away. For every nerf you come up for Jedi, I can submit a list on these boards to nerf into CH/AT-ST level oblivion.

Think before you type, because unlike FD you can prevent this from being used, and rather easily I might add.

I'd rather not nerf.

It will never end.

There will never be satisfaction until every person that wants to play a BH can easily defeat every Jedi template every time using nothing more than 1 button, and free weapons.

It really saddens me to see what the BH and Jedi player base has become.

IMO - the problem with cloak and the 20m range, is you can start to walk/run/Frun away and be 20m away easy before you move on my screen. The difference in syc between toons is scary and from what I have seen worse then most other MMO's.

It is not a 'I win' button, but it is really close to a '100% get-away' button. Took a MCH/MBH with me for a specific mark because I knew he was a cloaker, even with the Kimo attacking him he easily managed to cloak. Only thing I can think of (not tested yet) is drag along a buddy, have him stay on his speeder (assuming mark is not on kash) and /follow youre mark to prevent cloaking.

I have in previous threads suguested - Give jedi a 'clear blind state' in the same box they earn cloak in. In tern, a blinded jedi could not cloak. I thought it was a decent idea, but it got nothing but flak from the other side. (which i guess I can understand, regaurdless if it is a somewhat balanced idea)

Goes both ways. I've had people roll up on me and I never even saw them till they were 30m from me.

I enjoy hunting cloakers, as it is extremely challenging. The jedi's offensive capablitieswill be lower than most otherjedibecause of the fact that

he has cloak as a skill which means that the hunter will have more of a chance for victory if he stays within 20m of his mark. I'vecollected the bounties

on 3 cloakers since the CU and I regard them as some of my favorite/best kills because of the determination it took to catch/defeat them. I have also

been beaten by them, mainly due to the fact that they can leave the battle almost at will and recharge. The key tocollecting the bounty on a jedi that cloaks is the

same as it is for any jedi; you have to catch them unprepared.
