Thread: Make the Boss NPC Marks HARDER!!!!
I have no healing skills, which makes the Boss marks a bit more difficult for me, but as we have to do these solo, be careful about increasing the difficulties.
That being said, does anyone wonder WHY this was done?
To me, it feels like one big bribe to get us of the Jedi's backs without nerfing anything else. If the loot haul is good, especially for MBH's (One mark for me tonight dropped a Core Booster and a BH Boot schematic), it will keep the Kadaara BH terminals humming and the Jedi mindlessly /afk killing on Kasshyyk.....
Am I the only one that feels this is a blatant attempt to ease the BH pressure that has been on Jedi for the last 6 months? The Jedi forum must be jumping with joy to hear about BH's "running mission after mission for NPC marks"....

To top it off, people need to be able to kill the marks as they level up. You can get boss marks at any given point and as far as I've seen theres no way to identify before hand what you're going for.
Since PVP is forming up now I think Ill leave it at that.

My template is MBH/MRifles/CM0400.
I look at the MBH/MSmuggler template and there are plenty of skillpoints left over to get novice medic healing skills. There is no reason why you can't get healing yourself -- especially since smuggler already has a root special, there is no need for the pistoleer root. What exactly is your rationale for Pistols 0003 when you already have a smuggler root? It's redundant. My template heals exactly the same as a person who just has Novice Medic.
My rational for having the 0003 pistoleer root is that the smuggler root is not exactly a root. It is a mez. Doesn't work the same anymore. I keep the pistoleer root for hunting melee targets. Sure it doesn't do me any good against the boss NPCs like these that are all ranged, but it is very helpful against actual jedi. I also have the ranged accuracy line of FS and just don't have room for novice medic.
I have been trying to do my best using concussion shot to put the mob on pause so that I can heal up and regroup, but have not yet been sucessfull. Part of my problem is that I am designed to fight melee, and most of my practice has been on melee. My root is useless against ranged, and I am not able to outdamage these boss mobs. I may not have the *best* template for these guys, but I still think that they shouldn't be made any harder. I am not calling for them to be made easier either, mind you, just no harder.
MBH / MSmugger / Medic 0010 / Combat Prowess 4000
This is waaaaay more effective than having Pistols 0003, which by the way, doesn't last very long and has a relatively long cooldown timer. Pistols root is such a waste of skillpoints.
With the above template you can heal for 1200+ every couple of seconds if you have a medical droid out and are wearing +25 Healing Efficiency threads. You might even be able to kill a few Jedi as a pistols user with that template.
