Thread: So Where is the Quid Pro Quo Now in BH/Jedi?

I truly agree. If jedi had something that worths the risk of dying and losing xp there wouldn't be so much NERF CLOAK! NERF STATIS! NERF FORCE RUN! etc posts...
There will still be these posts regardless of any incentive a Jedi will get to fight the BH.

Just curious what you all think. At least when the FRS was in place, Jedi could get FRS xp for killing BH. Now of course Jedi get nothing for the effort except to continue whatever they are doing until the next BH comes.
Something should be changed. Should Jedi get the bounty reward for killing BH? Should they get a one week freeze on any BH getting them? Something should be a reward for killing BH......

Ithink they should loose all acumulated Vis. Gotta give em something, I don't forsee the FRS returning any time soon.

Your reward is being able to have an uber-template with awesome equipment and powers. You don't need a reward for dealing with one of the required detractions of being a Jedi.

There is nothing really awesome about our equipment anymore really, there are far better weapons than our sabers now.
Jedi exploited the FRS by lining up their bounty hunter alts and killing them over and over. The same thing would happen.
XP loss is also a way of keeping a jedi from just letting a BH kill them over and over again for the money.
A simple reward really, let us Jedi players have our characters removed from the Terminals if we win. We dont need uber rewards just something simple like this would do.

Err. Do you know the interesting strategy of thinking?
No offense, but sorry, have you actually thought about that?
Analogy:
Vicious murderer kills innocent citizen and is hunted by bounty hunters -> Vicious murderer kills bounty hunter -> Vicious murderer will no longer be hunted.
I'm sorry but can't we just scrap all such discussions or set up some template answer?
think about, 90% or more of the high end content involves npc's that must be killed, yet jedi are to be 'punished' for visiblity. what kind of moronic idea is this?
the whole xp loss thing was a bad idea from the beginning, and was a quick fix for farming. with anon missions, it's not an issue.
remove it and i would expect 90% of the jedi to stand and fight, and there will be a lot less hate on all sides.
Whats your point he compared the best jedi attack (that has a warm up timer and is only used when the opponent is KD'd) to the most powerful BH attack which has no warm up timer. Not to mention slices and PuPs were not considered, nor the healing factor which jedi is gimped in. Seems very biased and misleading.

I think you'll find this enlightening.

If they removed XP loss, then how can you justify having a class of players playing a class that is out-of-balance and more powerful than everyone else by design? Jedi is a prestige class. If you want to play it, then you have to pay the price -- which is exposing yourself to PvP all the time. It is just like real life if a person wanted to drive a Mercedes Benz. Your proposal is akin to giving everyone a Mercedes Benz for the price of a Hyundai.
The reward they get for being hunted, is to be a Jedi in the first place. Since it's not a starting profession, it's something that you earn. And as with any privilege, it has attendant responsibilities. Primarily, a Jedi is responsible for managing his own visibility. A Jedi who fails in that responsibility receives negative reinforcement in the form of getting on the terminals.
If you're on the terms,it's because of something you've done, not something I've done. "Quid pro quo" does not apply here. Where's the "quid pro quo" when a guy steals a car and gets put in jail for 10 years? There doesn't need to be one, he's broken the rules.
