The reward they get for being hunted, is to be a Jedi in the first place. Since it's not a starting profession, it's something that you earn. And as with any privilege, it has attendant responsibilities. Primarily, a Jedi is responsible for managing his own visibility. A Jedi who fails in that responsibility receives negative reinforcement in the form of getting on the terminals.

If you're on the terms,it's because of something you've done, not something I've done. "Quid pro quo" does not apply here. Where's the "quid pro quo" when a guy steals a car and gets put in jail for 10 years? There doesn't need to be one, he's broken the rules.

The function of a BH in the BH/Jedi dynamic is to punish Jedi's for gaining visibility. For succeeding in that we get a reward. Why should Jedi be rewarded for doing something they're supposed to be avoiding?

the whole concept of one player class setting back another's progress is just beyond reason.

all high end content is npc based, but jedi are not supposed to kill npc's or they get vis. who is the idiot that dreamed this up, and why are the sheep still bleating out how wise it is.

Use your alt....

Jedi are criminals. Hence why The Empire(Goverment in control) officially sanctions there murder. Same reason why they sanction the killing of rebels. They are Criminals.

I WOULD agree but i find it way to easy for them to kill us (full temps who know what theya re doing of course). But i think that it *IS* unfair that they have exp to lose, and we have nothign to lose going into that fight.

All I see so far are the typical remarks made by jedi...I say make jedi a normal prof. Equal to any other dbl elite prof.

That's another option for eliminating Jedi XP loss -- just clone the swordsman profession over to another tree and change the powerhammer art to lightsaber art. If they did this, then I wouldn't mind them eliminating Jedi XP loss.

They (jedi)would never accept that. I think it would be fine though. Drop the XP requirment and XP loss, bring in Blue Glowie, make them (jedi) no more or no less powerful than a double elite. Unfortunetaly, many many jedi want all the power they can get, and none of the restrictions. Its not unnatural. Humans are frequently like this. I blame the Devs, as usual, for letting this situation develop, and worse, continue.

Jedi will never be a starting profession...Looted items and quest items will never be better then crafted items, this is not a loot based game...CH will return shortly...CH and BE will not be back in game...Rangers are getting their revamp next!...The stealth system will not be changing in the spy expertise...Need any more examples of things the devs said that did not hold true?

Not nearly as unreasonable as one class being more powerful than all others...

That "idiot"... was the Jedi player community. The one that rejected the original means of Jedi control (permadeath, saber TEF, and skill loss) as unfairly harsh... JEDI demanded that those things be changed... and this is what they got.

Since we're daydreaming, how about this:

Jedi can obtain and hold up to three(?) anonymous contracts for different BH. They cannot track them nor initiate combat, and they never get the name, but they can keep them for say, a week. If at the end of a BH encounter it ends in a death (either side) the jedi finds out whether or not he was engaged against one of his contracts. If it was, and the jedi wins, he gets a payout.

BH end up having jedi contracts placed upon them by gaining notariety (you know, like visibility) via doing their work. Successful NPC bounties give tiny notariety bump. Failed player contracts give a slightly larger bump. Successful player bounties give the largest bump. Notariety could be cleared on death against a jedi holding your contract.

There could also be other uses for BH notariety I guess too.

Just curious what you all think. At least when the FRS was in place, Jedi could get FRS xp for killing BH. Now of course Jedi get nothing for the effort except to continue whatever they are doing until the next BH comes.

Something should be changed. Should Jedi get the bounty reward for killing BH? Should they get a one week freeze on any BH getting them? Something should be a reward for killing BH......

Why have a reward for killing a BH? BH is a BH, Jedi is a Jedi. Got it? All Jedi's know that someday a BH will come and try kill them and sometimes kill them. Thats how this game is made and thats what BH do.

Jedis are not BH. Jedi's award is the xp they keep and maybe the laugh over the dead BH.
