Jedi can get cloak but then they cant be the FOTM MLS/MDef template - they have to give something to get cloak - we have to give something to get cover, same thing.

It's the old rock, paper, scissors thing again. With the flexibility we have in making templates it is actually possible to be Master Rock and Master Paper, if we could just buy an item to make us scissors as well that would be game breaking.

Cover? Cover? Are you serious? I'm sorry, I don't have the energy to respond to this. Go gentle on this poor soul fellas

Im all for it, would love for bh to be invisible from radar at least until they actually attack, instantly knowing a bh is heading for you from 300ms away takes away all suprise.

BHs don't need a "cloak" feature because we already have one. Its called the element of suprise. We have the advantage because we dictate when the battle occurs. If you use a cloak feature like this one being propsed, then Jedi worththeirweight will notice a player not on the radar whensaid playeris walking around. That right there would be a dead give away that the player is a BH and the Jedi will scare.

Ideas are great, please give more, but keep in mind how it will affect everything else and if it is REALLY needed. Rangers are going to get (maybe) a snare to hit cloaked Jedi with. If you want a counter to the Force Cloak then go ranger when this implemented. Cloak doesn't need to be nerfed either, it just needs to be fixed.

IMO if a jedi SEES you walking around, you've lost your element of suprise, only a moron is going to let you get an alpha strike in that's worth a damn at that point. if you come in invisible on the radar and they actually see you, then you've blown your chance, good for them, bad for you, but when a jedi sees you coming at 300ms they have plenty of time to /examine you for the mbh badge, eat foods, channel a bit, and prepare for a fight, the only difference is you'd blow your cover when they actually SAW you instead of mous-overing the little dot on the radar screen.

The only real problem I see with this is, other group members could still alert the jedi to your presence unless you were invisible to everyone on radarand thats just silly.

On a side note though... /cover works fine for me. I'd like to see the rifle speed while crawling tapes work again though. That cut my crawl speed from a fast trot down to a stumbling turtle.

this is not a "cloak" we are talking about here, it is just something that takes you off the radar screen. You will remain fully visable in the world.

So more like the "Stealth Field Generator" in KOTOR then. I think it's got merit. Could be useful for avoiding those pesky battle droids in the vette and in the DWB also.

Why is that silly? If you made it for a limited duration and breakable upon coming within 20m meters of a npc or player it could work. It would add the STALK back into the profession and allow a BH who has skill to use terrain, buildings, and objects a chance to close with his mark. It would be useless to an unskilled BH as he would come barrelling in and be noticed visually.

If it was used like a BH droid and was a single use, 5-10 min duration, and after it has been rendered useless after you have beendiscovered, what would be so bad about it? Saying that you can be discovered by coming within 20m (like cover and kind of like cloak), it would reward the skillfull player without being game breaking.

More power to the jedi and his buddies who are observant, the BH was not skillfull enough. But by being careful and actually stalking your target carefully, you might...and I stress might, get a chance to lay down an actual surprise alpha attack that could make all the difference. Sounds workable IMO.

Also it wouldn't take you off radar from one player, it would just remove your dot from the radar entirly(meaning everyone)

sorry, but /cover just doesn't seem to add up to cloak, IMO, unless you have a lot of rifle crawl speed tapes, if that's even a stat that's still around. You crawl sssssssoooooooooo slowly that you'd never be able to track them with it efficiently

I had +25 rifle crawl speed shirt, that was still in condidtion. After a patch, it just stopped working. Not sure which one, or when it happened. I went through a stint where I wasn't hunting Jedi all that much, so I wasn't crawling around. But I noticed it when I went to use it... let me tell you that!

Definately a hot topic, i really hope the devs notice this. Allow the master of the bounty hunter profession to be able to stalk his prey. We need radar protection and i'm in full agreement with the fact that it must be all radar, not just your targets. Most BH who are factioned tend to only hunt the opposing side's jedi, unless you are truely a BH with no ties except for the payout. So all jedi have to look out for is a blue dot on the radar, and they usually have their radar on the max distance so the BH is at a disadvantage from the get go. That is unless your mark is sloppy and you catch them play dueling at theed starport or something, (that was my favorite "caught with your pants down" kill). Once again, we are not talking about a personal cloaking device as in invisible, we are talking about a personal Radar cloaking device. I don't care what package it comes in, ie. a psg type device or a single use device like a seeker droid, just let us have them please.

Thanks for all the incredible feedback on this everyone, keep it going and maybe we will get some attention.
