Thread: Tell us why you are leaving the game....
I had quit already with the idea I might come back, in the last 3 weeks since I renewed my account, I could only log in 3 times. The 3rd time was to give all my stuff away. I tried publish 20 with optimism and took a look and all missions I took were "target is not online" so I logged because I just can't deal with this broken crap any longer.
tootles!

Ya I got killed with that bug too. Then the Jedi laughed at me and told me to come back any time for another lesson. That was my last Jedi hunt 2 weeks ago. Now Im just waiting for my account to expire.
no smugglers for sliceing
all the buggs
my pre cu weapons turned to crap
balance
the list is endless?
Ok the way I see things,
is the game was very ambitious, it broke new boundries, and for the time when it appeared it was an exciting new direction for games. To be fair many game now that are doing well, have probably looked at starwars in depth for a bench mark and inspiration.
That being said though, being ambitious has cost them dearly, they have surely over a trillion bugs. And combined with sorting these bugs they have to try and make the game grow and have long lasting appeal.
The jedi profession is quite a life line for then simply becuase there's a hell of a lot of time envolved before you get to the, "well what" now point.
I'm not sure what the future holds. But I honestly think whatever they need alot more staff. There's no exscuse for not having them really.
With more staff you could control exploits, bug control and have a team entirely devoted to game progress.
As it is this time next year, i honestly see slim possibility of the game staying above mirky water.
Maybe there is a suprise expansion in the works, although I'm not holding my breath.
I'd stay if the Devs had the balls to get rid of 90% of the jedi population. If they want to wreck and unbalance SWG until it gets FUBAR, its thier problem. They wont get my dollars for that.
And where is the gratitude for staying 2 years in the same game!?!? Double xp weeks, rugs and holograms!?!? Damn, I have been capped on xp for over a year. I dont need any double xp!! I dont need any rugs or any decoration either!!!
SWG is dead!!
Long Live Lord of the Ring Online!!!!
Sounds the same as Counter-Strike.
Devs has a horrible ability to communicate with the playerbase community, SWG is one of the better MMORPGs out there IMO because of its features and system but the CU changed all that which I think should have never happened in the first place then there would only be the old bugs to work out if the old system had stayed.
BH has gotten WAY better, Jedi has gotten WAY worse, then other profs has either gotten better, worse or useless like smuggler and CH. I dropped master smuggler yesterday because I got extremely sick of telling the person "you have to bring me the looted item if you want me to do advanced slices" over and over to others and those loot items are rather expensive to get as well so tough luck if you can actually find a smuggler now (and if any will be around/active when smuggler bounties comes in).
It isn't the playerbase or professions that causes nerfs or inbalance, it's the bugs that are accessable and the way devs see things to tweaking/nerfing/balancing which has an effect on EVERYONE, not just the ones that exploits them (like force speed + addrenal buffs).
I am seeing how the exploiters/afkers/griefers are actually having an impact on the way this game is changing, wouldn't surprise me if it was the AFK Feral wookiee grinders that caused the group XP changes for example which could have been solved by eliminating xp altogether on Kash.

well been playing since launch and had picked up 4 accounts from friends that left.
Those 4 are dead and gone and just waiting on current subscription to run out til this guy is gone as well.
it all boils down to one word for me..
jedi
failure to find a balance, broken lies, bad customer service.

I'm not quitting yet, but I'm damn close to. While BHs are definately better off than a year ago, this game just isn't "starwarsy" any more. I see almost more glowbats than mundanes at the major starports and hunting locations.
This game is flooded by r0xx0rs, kiddies and lamers, who give a sh!t about anything but their own l337ness.
Think of it this way : For every Jedi that you see, that Jedi has an alt toon. So if the Jedi population on a server is, lets say, 25% of the total population...then that means that fully 50% of the server population is either a Jedi or Jedi alt.
The way things are going, it wont be long before Jedi are the most common profession around with thier Alts being used as "Something else to do".
You realize that you don't add percentages like that, right?
