Hello all,

I have masterd 4 holocrons prof and 3 more novice prof. I have had no luck for the past week to pick up another holocron to see if it is silent. I have picked up ranger to use the tracking to help me find the FS people on dant but with no joy, i have not looted a holocron. I am pretty sure my next one will be silient but should i risk should suspending the holocron hunt and start mastering some other prof? Or should i continue the hunt and find one for assurance?

This is what i have mastered so far:

Marksman

Entertainer (holo 1)

Swordsman (holocron 2)

Artisan(holocron 3)

Weaponsmith (holocron 4)

Medic (Just cuz)

Scout (For ranger, and just to throw it in the hat)

Thanks,

Omry

P.S i figured i could master brawler in a few hours? Head that way?

Alright, they are changing the way to get unlocked. Im on profession #17 and havent found my silent yet, my plan was to keep at it untill i finally unlock. But with the recent changes i have no idea what to do.. continue grinding professions (with the chance its all for nothing), or wait for the new system (which could just aswell take months before its in). I dont feel like waiting, i want to finish what i start. My plan was to keep grinding untill i unlock, but with these changes i have no idea what to do. So what are you going to do... continue, or wait god knows how long.

Please serious posts only, this isnt a cry post. Thank you

I would continue grinding. You still have about a month before the new changes take effect to aquire jedi. No reason why you can't get it before that.

I'm working on 15 and 16 right now. I would suggest keep grinding, most likely you have anywhere from 1-3 months before changes (to slot unlocking) will even be put in.

I got this in an email from a player who's name I've changed.

"Hello I'm insterested in ordering a droid, what I'm looking for is an R series droid, R2 or R3 peferably, with a crafting station at least and some storage space if possible. Colors black on white or red on white. I want to pay 5k, what do you think you could make for me?"

Now I've got a little angel and a devil sitting each on my shoulders. One says "educate the n00b" and the other says "flame on".... anyone else been in this position recently? Or maybe have someexperiences they'd like to share? lol

I had someone DEMANDING that from me before. I think he offered a MAX of 6k. I finally just walked away and put him on ignore (though other people told him he was yelling some quite colorful things afterwards).

lol yeah I was outside Jabba's palace in October and this guy wanted a probot. I told him 10k and he starts haggling. I tell him that I don't haggle and that he'll be hard-pressed to find one for less than that. He starts bitching at me so I run off to do Jabba missions. He follows me and threatens to report me to a CSR. I just look at him, hit some sort of emote that suggests that I am totally speechless b/c of his stupidity and I go on my way. As I am leaving I can hear his all-caps curses fading into the distance that's probably the weirdest thing I've ever had happen between me and a customer.

Huh, I would have made him an R4 droid with the station and storage for that price. Guess I'm a sucker.

Simple answer to it all is to have a brochure in your email (sent to yourself) that has all the information about droids and your prices. Whenever someone sends a request, just forward it out. Automatic education and setting of your prices all without typing a thing (well.. you have to type their name in the forwarding email box).

Check out my old one, and feel free to copy/paste it to your own needs.

If you custom-build droids, this is by far the most recommended method of doing it. It is the end of annoying educational lectures and haggling.

Im glad that there were so many good responses to this thread. Im fairly new to the profession and am currently grinding to MDE. But i havent been building any droids, at least not for resale. So thanks to everyone for letting me know about the state of the market. And you are all absolutely right, you shouldnt haggle. The pricing is based off of the resources and effort that goes into building. Next time tell the irrate customer if he/she would be willing to fight a Krayt for the XP of a dwarf nuna.

I was sitting in the Coronet Spaceport waiting for a ride when this hot shot walks up and asks for the best droid I can for 5K. He said it had to have medical and storage capacity. So I made an R5 with a Level I med and storage module.

He was thrilled with it. Go figure.
