Thread: New tactic vs. Jedi with stasis?
To the OP: whether or not it's an exploit (I think it is), it's still lame.
Here's the simple reason why it's an exploit. You are using a game mechanic inan unintended way. Simple.
An exploit is defined by the EULA in laymans termsas using an enforseen flaw in game mechanics to cause an ability or entity to work other than intended.
Explain to me how deliberatley bringing along a friend to duel so that you can repeatedly break a mez is not a textbook definition of the above.

Then the others jump in to Justify it because of other Exploits in the game that are being used.
And to top it off we get a few more who post that other tactics should be deemed exploits.
Why don't we just cut to the point and say "If the Jedi doesn't die they must have exploited"
This also applies to the Jedi that say such things as well.

I'm sorry but if anyone uses an exploit in order to win you should do us all a favor and just Cancel your acount.
yah but we're not all saying "if a jedi wins he sploited" we're just saying that using a duel command to (a) Db a friend out of xp loss, or (b) find out a BH has your mission, ARE exploits. I know that the OP's stratagey is an Exploit by definition. but so are the ones i mentioned, and jedi have no problem using htme
/dual /enddual to see if someone has your missions is an Exploit as well.
/dueling a friend so he can break you out of stasis is as much an exploit as the above 2.
Just friggin report em everytime you see anyone exploiting and maybe.......maybe they will do something about it
But coming on the boards to complain about it is not gonna get you anything or get anything done about it (if they even do anything about it).
All some jedi templates are good for is pve and running away during PvP.

Agree 100% myself too. Only problem is, I got probably 8 /duel /enduel 's today alone and this was my first day hunting.
How do I report someone anyhow?

Jedi are twits I try not to be like them at all in any way, shape or form. I do not advocate any exploits. They need them because they are weak even if they are technically more powerful. Jedi is a crutch and I honestly feel that the majority of people that feel they need to go jedi are the kind that feel they need to use exploits. If this were a post about using /duel to find a bounty on the jedi forums all of them would be saying "yes you should" when it's in fact an exploit. The bhers here saying don't do it are showing how we are above it.
Yes we kill them and enjoy it...yes we will use whatever legitimate tactics to accomplish that but most of us will not exploit.

Labelling ALL Jedi as twits is exactly what causes the friction between our 2 professions. Not all Jedi exploit, and not all BH's exploit. But alot of both do.
You blanketting all Jedi as /duel exploiters is like me saying every single BH used the /duel exploiut when it gave them the advantage of being un-attackable.

Don't be so unashamedly childish - it's a game, hundreds of different people play every different class - to make these kind of generalizations is utterly ridiculous immaturity.

I think this thread and any thread discussing the /duel exploits shows that more Jedi exploit and do so on a regular basis. They actually defend exploiters almost 100% while very few BHs would support an exploiting BH. To me it lies in the nature of a person that is drawn to a profession that is better than all others, as I think we can all admit that very few Jedi do it for roleplaying purposes.
Did you really get hit by the /duel exploit everytime you faced a bh? I didn't think so. I imagine if you asked the Jedi that were around then to honestly list the names of Bounty hunters that used that exploit when that exploit was available the list would be miniscule in comparison to the number of Jedi that use the duel exploit. But now as things are if the jedi has a chance they all do the /duel exploit to me now.
BTW if root broke on attack you can bet that Jedi would surely be dueling their friends to break it.
