Thread: New tactic vs. Jedi with stasis?

Last night I fought a Jedi. He saw me load into his player city at the shuttle port. He immidiately hit the buffs and food. I hit mine and said, "What the heck?" After fighting for a few minutes, he began to run low on force (He was Mpowers). I tanked him for a little while while he use up his force. But then as I started to win, he hit me with stasis and took off to regen. Once stasis wore off and I was ready to return to battle, he had regened. He did this three times.

My question is, couldn't I bring a friend with me to /duel me while I was fighting the jedi, and say I had my friend remain unarmed. So everytime the Jedi used stasis, my friend would attack me and break me free. Anyone know if this works?

The reason I ask is because there is one Jedi in my guild who i get intel on many of the Jedi marks I take. He knows almost everyone's temp and gives me some advice on their strengths and weaknesses, so I would probably know if I was going up against an MPowers.

You could do that yes, but you'd get reported for doing it since its a known exploit.

Also Stasis is in Enhancer not Powers.

master enhancers take a very serious drop in defenses and other skills for the privledge of having stasis ... makes them pretty much bh proof ... but then again master defender is pretty good too ... or cloak ... umm ... its scissors paper bounty hunter I'm afraid.

How is it an exploit? Jedi will DB their friends so that a BH can't get it! Yesterday I saw a Jedi put on stasis, then force run away, put up a house, and go in it (once the short tef wore off) to get away. That seems like an exploit as well.

You could... but its an exploit as someone else pointed out, and really, how do you feel when a Jedi has one of his friends deathblow him before you can? Same sort of thing.

It's all useless now anyway. If a Jedi has cloak, a BH no longer has the first strike ability. Stasis or not, this game is turning into a joke. I'm not crying nerf, I'm just stating that the ability's that BHs once the advantage on are starting to fade.

It's ok. Jedi already lost the advantage they had of not needing mind and action to heal and attack. Soon we'll all be the same profession with differently named specials and different weapon graphics.

word ... fr1/cloak ftw ... well the escape anyway ... but then again look at what you have to give up to have cloak ...at best you end up with no area attack ... thing is thatno vetran jedi should really be dying to a bh under normal circumstances ... good thing the marketing department is supplying us with all this fresh meat

Asa Jedi, and after reading most people claim that the /dual exploit is not an exploit in my forum, I would tell you to do it.

I would laugh if your friend broke your stasis then the Jedi's friend db'd him...the circle of life...

And we all know what happens to the jedi's friend after he's reported for DB'ing your mark. Nothing.

The obvious pointed out, i'd still stay away from doing this. It makes you no less of a person than the jedi and his friend who "exploit" the db through an impromptu duel.

The irony is, i still pay to play a game that lets all of this happen.

Yes, most likely nothing will happen if you duel to remove the Jedi's Stasis or if a Jedi's buddy DB's him to avoid the XP loss, but I agree they are BOTH exploits. As I agree the /duel is a kind of exploit also.

I will never get a friend to DB me if I ever get incapped by a BH, I have never used /duel on a suspected BH and I never will.

As far as the guy saying that a Jedi stasis'd him, then FR away, dropped a house and went inside, thats not an explot at all. Stasis lasts 40 secs, the BH TEF lasts 2.5 Mins, plenty of time to catch him again before he gets that house dropped.

How about having Force Run negate the TEF timer? The whole time FR is on, the TEF timer is PAUSED! Muhahahhahahha!!!!!!!!!11111

/shrug

There's really nothing you can do, lots and lots of jedi have opted for the pve temp and if played correctly they can get away from you. What they lack in battle they more than make up for in fleeing. Same with the cloaksters.

Personally it doesn't bother me, i am looking for a good fight and clearly these temps cannot hang. /jab
