Thread: avoid incap

no because force channel gives you 200 force pool and delays you for a few seconds, avoid incap costs 700 and delays you. Not to mention the combat revamp will probably lower mind buffs.


1st problem is that the avoid incap macro easily breaks with lag. so if your not healing yourself fully then your screwed.


2nd problem is war cry. nuff said. cant channel or avoid incap when war cry'd


3rd problem is you cant deal any damage when you keep having to channel and heal yourself for a measily 400 per ham (assuming you dont have much healer)



try this template, others have, you'll regret it.

Just put a stun on the Jedi. They cannot activate Avoid incap while stunned.

the standard defender template is


master saber

master def

4004 healer




heal state, then avoid if they were going to


but yeah it has its uses and some times it is plain useless

I just logged in and tested it. Stun does NOT prevent avoidinap.

That makes you better than any other?I think not,I feel that is how you come across by your post. You obviously just not defender material my friend. Avoid incap works well.

I've had 'Avoid Incap' since Pub 9, and it's a tactical skill - great for an initial rush in large scale PvP or when you need to make a hasty retreat.


You need an appropriate support template, since if you are 0 HAM when it run out, you are incapped.


Warcry easily messes with AvoidIncap, but warcry messes with all proffs, all powers/skills. There is no delay timer on it being reapplied so that in itself is unbalanced.


AvoidIncap is the ONLY power a Master Defender has. I would accept a replacement to a 'dodge' power, or some sort of lower cost, longer last defensive power, but besides that it's not game breaking as it is now. It allows a few short minutes of 'super tanking'. Pretty handy in the corvette however, especially getting to that engine room and out alive.


Two power lines were taken out of Defender and moved to Enhancer- force armor, and force shield. Additionally Jedi toughness does not work vs LS damage. So Defender has been quite watered down already. If anything we need improvements to posture down, and some sort of defence that will help in Jedi vs Jedi combat.

Could had sworn it was 400, I'll have to recheck that in about an hour. if not I apologize and if it is 700 /shrug I regen half that back in 20 seconds easily and a 8 force cost saber is the key. Good luck with your defender troubles, I have none. No complaints and vs jedi I like it as well, try some Pikatta Pie this works well with Defender...

bah, darn enter key. anyway, have any of youtried to kill a jedi with avoid incap? it is the funniest jedi skill ever. you get them down to no health and they just walk around like a zombie. it is kinda like fd but they can still attack from what i was able to determine. it is pretty frustrating. this is definitely something that should only be used every hour or so.
