Thread: Regarding House-Jedi (Updated 10/14)
Now if we want to hunt a jedi, we get barely anymore credits than we would an NPC (40-50k for jedi, ~30k NPC), and we cant even see the name of our target, which blows, since I know I'm not the only one who had a sitload of jedi labeled 'house sitters' in my friends list. Thats another 20 minutes wasted everymission right there. want to know my record for house sitting jedi? 16 in a row. Back and forth in Kadaraa all night looking for a target. Better than ever. And now that the BH can't see the names of the bounties and the prices are random, we can't tell if its a pady or a full-temp we're up against. I used to choose formidable opponents from 150k-225k when 225k was the price cap, and now i may end up hunting a pady and end up turning around ONCE AGAIN because i somehow feel bad for them.
Oh yea, and I feel so bad for all those smart ones who duel eachother in the middle of Theed. They deserve to be db'd. You want to fight, do it behind a wall or somewhere where there isnt 20 guys with scatter pistols standing in a circle.
And BH skills have already been nerfed btw, the bleeding from torso shot is usless, spray shot is an advantage to the jedi since the shot will piss off every creature around and get them to attack the BH, and dizzy/stun with confussion shot is just a waste of time since dizzy/stun have lost use almost entirely.
I agree that jedi should have nothing penalized for going afk in their house, i just think some need to grow balls once in a while.

Oh yea BH's really have it better than ever... Pre-CU BH's took missions that went up to a million credits, and maybe had a few friends to help out (and it was still a damn hard challenge), but all that is gone now (Im not talking about the the 10-man team who ganks an easy target, I'm talking 3 or 4 guys on one full temp jedi which was a fair challnge at the time)

BH wins if he deathblows the jedi.
Jedi wins if he survives.
Youfailed your missions16 times in a row, are you sure you should be a BH
Also dont try to win with the 'we got nerfed more' argument, it wont work
I ask a simple question, Why is it such an issue ? Supposedly there are more jedi than ever running around and ppl complain that there mark is in their house afk. So what. I havent read every thread on this as i see it as a non issue so go get another mission. If a jedi decides to spend his time afk in a house on a macro to stop logging off thats their perogative and waste of electricity bill =P
Raz
And ya cant loose the mission if theres no target, cant win it either.

BHs can enter the mark's home when the mission is still active and the Jedi is online.
Yea and why not add that the jedi has 670 health left and 1200 action and are down to 1000 force aand tanking pikets for a group.... That would the BH like cuz then those dont have to fight that hard.
I like the ide that a BH can enter a PRIVET house, and IF the jedi beats the BH, we will get the weapon that the BH used on the jedi.
So if a bh wins he gets cash, if the jedi wins we get the BH's weapon....... I can live with that....

A recent post was made regarding removing Jedi from their houses if a Bounty Hunter is after them. I replied and was mis-interpreted.
Just to clear the water, I think removing any player from a structurehe/she isalready in is a bad idea.
The same can be said regarding shooting through walls, allowing the hunter to enter the structure, not allowing a (un-tef'd) Jedi from entering a structure, etc.
Yes, finding Jedi unattackable due to houses is a big issue, but a "/pick lock" command isn't the way to fix it.
On the same note, I'd like to use this post as an opportunity to request possible solutions to this situation. I'd really like to hear some ideas from my fellow hunters becuase this is an issue that needs solved.
Please keep in mind that any form of removing a bounty from a structure is not an alternative I am willing to pursue.
Some ideas suggested so far:
a) Droids notify hunters if the bounty is static orinside a private structure. Waypoint would still update and bounty would remain for hunters willing to investigate
b) Remove bounties from the terminals if the mark remains static/inside for a certain amount of time. Should the Jedi move beyond that point, standing bounties are back on the terminals. Missions pre-existing in datapads could remain for the die-hard stalker crowd
Keep 'em coming guys and let's try to keep the atmosphere positive

If you ever read a post by a Dev About how the BH mission system works you would know neither of these is an option. The server can not tell if a mark is inside a house.. thus why we can still get NPC missions behind walls, or in the middle of a lake ect...
If you have been a BH for long, Jedi inside houses is something we have come to live with... I personally loved to sit and stalk them out... if you dont like it, drop the mission and go grab another... and cross your fingers that you dont get the same one.. because lets remember the genious Idea to take names off the terminals.

Sounds good...
btw..
The Jedi seem to have some pull on our corr now, sort of remind me of the buearcrats in episode one that had power over chancellor valorum...Looks really similar ???
Seriousy, Don't back away when a few 'bad apple' jedi flame you over an good idea samous...
You jedi think all alike, ive meet the few 'bad apples' of jedi they enjoy sitting in their house afk all day and night and a few cloaked afk ones just to annoy BH.. Something must be brought up
Sometimes we don't want to fight, but you're annoying us. Pot, kettle.

Or if you want another option, give Jedi some incentive to stay outside and fight. I'm not saying take away XP loss, but how about:
- Give them extra XP for defeating the BH
- Decrease the amount of XP that is lost based on how long the fight ensues
Giving an incentive to fight might coax active Jedi out of their homes.
However, this would not solve the issue regarding Jedi who go AFK forhours on end.
Again, theissue to pursueisn't Jedistaying inside their homes. The issue is preventing Bounty Hunters from wasting time pursuingunavailable bounties.

Actually justfinished reading the last one for the night (/phew).
Unfortunately I didn't notice any ideas that
a) aren't going to be pursued (as described in the OP), or
b) aren't already edited intothe OP ![]()
Have I missed any? If so, send me a PM or just reply to this post for easy tracking
