Thread: Regarding House-Jedi (Updated 10/14)
are so misunderstood! It's not good enough they can come up and kill you while your fighting a Dark Jedi Master/Knight and 3 Nightsisters or when you are fighting 3 opposite faction overts or when your a padawan trying to grind out millions of XP to get a full temp.
So I have an idea to help them.... When they pull a Jedi's Mission the Jedi would be instantly ported to the BHs feet Incapped and health mind action and force all depleted then all they would have to do is /deathblow.
This should make things fair for BH's who are so neglected
You know what I am a BH and I have jedi but who doesnt right.. If I come up on a mark and they are sitting in a house I will send them a tell to even see if they are their and if they dont respond I drop the mission I am not the type of person who is just going to wait for them to come out. Then I go back to kadarra and grab a new mission and start over.. I have yet to have 2 consecutive mission that the jedi is sitting in a house. So not sure what servers most of you are on but on chilastra I dont see this as a big problem.
And also the mention of being able to break into the private house is just stupid I mean why not add that you can destroy factories or whole cities while we are at it.. I mean a private house is a private house and if someone wants to send an email or send tells to someone what gives you as the BH the right to take that away from them.
I have noticed a funny trend in both the BH and jedi boards when someone can not beat someone else they b1tch about it and it either results in a nerf of the other profession or a increase in the b1tchers proffesion hence nerfing the other profession. This is just stupid move on and find a new mission or wait till they come out they have to come out and do something sooner or later.. But quite with the stupid whinnes about "my mark in AFK in a house and I can't do anything about it so SOE must auto kick or give me a breakin option on my radial so I can kill the AFK jedi and feel uber about killing a jedi" Grow up and play the dam game.

The hosue is beeing used as safeheaven.
I whish they gave Jedi a different safe heaven than a house. its just too sissy. I agree they need one but not houses. may be a secret enclave or the guild hall
Houses should make finding the jedi harder
Is not that they hide that bothers me. its the unrealistic setting of a house stopping a BH that bothers me.

This leaving Bounty Hunters the chance to cash their checks if they are patient and Jedi who are not AFK would not have any issues cause if they are at the keyboard itsjust torememberand move to the door if they see a blue dot or just walk over and enjoy a picture within a sertain timeperiode! Nowunless you are AFK Jedi, then you would have a problem cause you would not be able to waste a second of your time to move around in your home and a BH would pritty easy bring back a Padawan Braid.
Now another more Jedi friendly way would be if Jedi didnt lose XP if they were cought by a sneakyBH who broke inn and shot him while he was cyb0ring with his ingame wife? But this would lead to Jedi on terminals and with visibility to just camp a house, cross their fingers a BH comes and kills them so they are off the terminals
1) I certainly like the idea of being told somehow (droid, signature, etc..) that the particular mark in question is afk in a house or structure. This would save a LOT of time running missions where there is no outcome. I had 4 in a row last night, all afk rebel jedi in structures. Ugh!
2) If you come on a jedi afk in a structure.............and get within say 50m of them.....it would "trigger" a label placed on their account. At a certain number of "labels" from various BH missions they would start being logged out once afk for a specific period of time. This makes afk still ok for the normal player who needed to take off for a bit, etc.. but would nail the jedi's who constantly just go afk inside a structure to lose vis or to aggrevate BH's.
3) How about a "Coward Ranking". We have PVP Ratings, how about a Coward Rating. Every time a BH comes on you and your afk in a structure you take a hit to it. When other jedi start calling you a whimp maybe you will get out of your house and fight.

Any BH that says his sole purpose in doing BH missions is to cause XP loss is a griefer plain and simple.
The $$$, thrill and good fight are all denied, when you come across someone thatsits /afk in their private structure all day specifically to goad BH's to come waste time hunting them.
Whilst there are some good ideas, crazy ideas and some down right stupid ideas within the thread, one thing that most people seem to agree on is that they would rather not see Jedi in private structures on the Terminals. This alone would be a step in the right direction to at least decreasing the amount of time spent wasted chasing after /afk Jedi.
My only concern with this is, as a new jedi myself, i find myself in my house orginazing my new jedi stuff and spending long periods of tiem (sometimes up to 1-2 hours) crafting sabers in my house and tuning crystals...
...so my only conern is, if you make some kind of command to "get me out of my house", how will the game decifer between Jedi #1 who is AFK on purpose to piss of BHs and Jedi #2 (me) who is in his house for safety, for crafting, and because its my god damn house and i can stay there if i want...????
Making it so Jedi lose exp while in the house idea was stupid i think...as well as the idea to have jedi pulled form their house as a skill for one reason or another. I think the ONLY acceptable idea that was good was the OP's idea for having the droid tell you flat out, "the mark is inside his house, or a public/private building".
I realize some jedi abused the hell out of the AFK house thing to piss off BHs for god knows what immature reason...but i dont think all jedi should be affected just because a BH is upset that his mark is in a house. Coming from a new jedi and an old BH, i have to agree with some jedi that say "BHs have nothing to lose from fighting jedi and a jedi has everything to lose". So i think this is one thing that BHs will just have to suck up.
Too bad if your mark is in a house, go get another one. I never complaigned when i got COUNTLESS jedi in houses and on kashyyyk, i just got another mission. It sucks, but in all fairness...you REALLY want to take an honestly afk jedi out of his house with a skill and kill him while he was taking a piss? You know how many jedi will cancel their accounts??

....yeah ok..FALSE...get realistic. My house is private for a reason. I dont want to see random BHs coming into my house.
No offense to some of you BHs...but you really need to grow up. Jedi are the BHs content...(though it shouldn't be this way). If your "content" is in a house..go to the terminal and get more content! Dont start making picking locks on houses, or automatically guestl listing yourselves to homes, etc.
