Personally I could care. Yea it sucks the profession I loved most in this game is being destroyed, but in light of things, itsa game

I have plenty of other ones I like, so if the NGE sucks I wont play.

So go on keep trying to wave Nov. 15th in my face.

Bounty Hunting was a popular profession even before player bounties were introduced in the game... don't say the profession is being destroyed, there are still other ways to pvp without player bounties... and they had to be eliminated *precisely* because of the people who loved to impose pvp on other players... if you hadn't tried to force it on others, it would have never come to this...

Player bounties came in game the day holocrons came out. I was a BH at the time. So that means SWG had fun before jedi came out. Maybe they should just get rid of jedi as a playable profession, since it cant be implemented properly and widely accepted in an MMO.

Get rid of Jedi as a playable profession? 2+ years too late for that... Pandora's box was opened and there was no going back. Letting people play Jedi is good for business, so it's unlikely we'll ever see anything like SWG without Jedi characters ever again.

You know, my problem with this game is that I think a lot of people haven't played a pen/paper RPG, namely Star Wars RPG for the purposes of this discussion. When you play a game like that, sure Jedi get perks of having the force and access to powers and things that allow them an edge over the common classes...not to say that they are always better. Will a maxed out lvl 20 Jedi Guardian most of the time will be able to beat a 20th lvl Soldier/Scout/Bounty Hunter in a straight out fight...I say most of the time...but the thing there is that Jedi aren't uber, there are classes that can take them down in one shot from half a mile away...ie Soldier/Sharpshooter, or even in their faceSoldier/Elite Trooper...its all about your playstyle and whether you powergame your characters. Non powergamed characters will most often be on even footing, even if one is force sensitive...just because of the skills that each has to use and the strategy ofthe player using them. The thing that most people realize when playing a paper RPG is that all the Player Characters...are HEROES, they aren't cholo guys who get wiped off the map in one swing, or in a single shot. These guys are there for cinematic effect, they are the ones who take a shot or two, or only get grazed by the saber, or dodge it completely. It's never about just taking somebody down in a single blow. Sadly in this game there was no way to enforce a moral code upon Jedi like there is in the RPG. That's where I find I stray from the base of most players who want Jedi...they want the power, they want the prestige, they want the glory. Jedi are inherently not that playstyle. In this game there was no way to make players conform to the Jedi code or face penalty. In fact I'd say that most of the people who play Jedi in this game would fall to the darkside in a single adventure in the paper RPG if they played the game the same way. The failing here is that most people can't play a Jedi correctly...not because its impossible, they just don't have the mindset of the Jedi.

straight out.....

they are going to make their hard core players die out and not want to play anymore....And i am hard core, from day 1. This CU might be the end of me after more than 850 vet days logged....I cant hunt jedi anymore....my 35 adk's are **edit**...my 1 year grind to jedi is out the door....I collected almost 100 premium pearls to make my saber PIMP.....If im still not the best....then whats the fricken point...ive put more time than ppl here...only to be washed up to watch the smurf's fight gargomel.....panzy ass no bh'ing game. from what ive heard, pvp sucks ....and since there are not player bounties...there is nothing left for me....except complain and whine to the weak jedi who love the idea of no bh's....they are weak minded fools who never should have gone for jedi...knowing all well they would be hunted...

Agree with you 100% there... would have preferred a 1000 times that Jedi in SWG would have had to adhere to a strict moral code, or face the loss of all Jedi skills and privileges, than some silly forced pvp mechanism which all but guaranteed that sooner or later you'd run into a trigger-happy yahoo with a two-digit IQ whose only goal in life is to go on a MMORPG to "pwn" others.

You would think all the Neandarthals would take a hint... but they don't. People paying to play this game should have the freedom of choice to decide how they want to play and with whom they want to play. That's the once concept you still cannot grasp, maybe that is too sophisticated for your trigger-happy minds. You always wanted to impose your gameplay on others, and didn't care for the fact that your presence and your actions may have been unwanted.

Even now that you know player bounties are going away, you keep on insisting that you should be able to infringe on someone else's game time and impose your game style onto them, against their wishes, as if that is the only way you can possibly enjoy the game.

It doesn't matter, forced pvp is gone, it's history, and you can either accept that fact or go play somewhere else.

i will go somewhere else prolly....you took jedi EKIBE knowing all well that u would be hunted....now ppl like u ruin the others game for complaining to the devs...I hate SOE for their stupid decision. I hate lucas arts for changing a game that had no problem. I hate george lucas for making me love star wars so much. im venting....piss off all you CAREBEARS !!!!

Yeah, right, like Bounty Hunters neeeever complained and neeeeever whined and neeeever asked the devs to make it easier to hunt Jedi.

Just a few more days to force PvP on other players and I'm making the most of it.

JEDI BEWARE

I haven't ran a single mission this week that hasn't involved a player bounty. My goal is to wipe all of them out so that when I check the terms there are NO players listed. Seriously no offense to any Jedi out there. Just last ditch effort for some intense gaming.

You're going to find this in any online game. You have to take that with agrain of salt and move on with your life, and not let the 1% of idiots out there ruin your gaming experience. For my own part, I've only gotten hate tells spammed at me a few times from killing Jedi, and I never started it. I never talked to my marks unless they PM'd me first, and all I ever said was good fight, even if it was over quickly. Sure there are a few morons out there who show off and act a fool, but you can see those guys in real life everyday...you just gotta let them act out and not let it effect your game play. Heck, when there were group TEF's I was ganked everytime I tried to hunt Jedi from this certain guild, not naming names. Did they need a Swordsman, 2 full temps, the paddy, a combat medic and a rifleman to kill one bounty hunter? Surely not, and they knew I was alone because I had no buddies with me, and I always came alone, trying to take down my marks before the gank squad could get me. Even if you had an unhappy experience, try to look at it from the view that others didn't and they might not be the people with two-digit IQ's that you speak of. Personally mine is 145, and I love pvp but for different reasons than some others. Morons are in society, until they are purged from normal everyday life, you're gonna find them like roaches, in every facet of the living world, hard to kill, and harder to manage.

Ah, but we are the ones who are laughing now... and looking forward to Nov. 15th

You are?

.. Are you sure about that? .. I mean, you did all the grinding ... you worked months to become a Jedi ... you went through BH after BH ... and you're getting the ability to be a blue glowy, a cheesy robe and some cheap crystal? Has anyone pointed out that a doctor can now OWN a Jedi in a 1v1, heads-up duel?

I think you should be worrying more about your own profession, and less about ours.
