Thread: The official reason BH TEF's where removed
Jedi were never forced into pvp. Statement of fact, plain and simple.
Visability rules are as follows.
No force powers near NPC/PC characters, 32m.
No saber near NPC/PC characters 32m.
If you did not follow those two very simple rules you gained visability.
Ways to circumvent visability.
Die to a BH and drop all visability, gain xp loss, skill loss, or permadeath when those applied.
Sit in a house, and wait a few days without gaining visability to let it slowly decline.
Log off for three weeks and log onto your alternate slot the Dev's provided so that your visability would be erased.
In short Jedi were NEVER forced into PVP of any sort. If they got hunted at any level it was their own fault. Jedi did not even have to participate in the FRS if they did not want to.
Any PVE content that would have made a Jedi gain visability could be circumvented by logging onto the alternate character and enjoying the content that way. Every Jedi that engaged in PVP did so by choice, or by neglect. At no time ever were Jedi forced to take on visibility without their own knowledge or knowledge of how it could be gained and there were ways of getting it to go away.
Jedi chose to forsake the system and abandon the priciples set down and not use the Alternate slot to enjoy the rest of the game as it was intended. It was never necessary to take their Alpha class and use their skillsets to PWN the PVE and PVP content in the rest of the galaxy as all the other classes could handle the content without the ALPHA skills.
PVP was a choice on the Jedi's part; plain, simple, and end of discussion.

It's possible that you do not understand what forced pvp is... if you do not get to choose the time, place, and circumstances of the pvp, it is forced pvp. Yes, we knew that we would be vulnerable to attack, but it didn't mean that we *had* to pvp. It meant we might have to do whatever was necessary to thwart the attack. And sometimes, we would just lure the BH into chasing us all over the place and generally look for ways to make it impossible for them to get a shot at you. That's what it means to engage in forced pvp, not whether or not someone can have a player bounty placed on them.
Well then by your definition you were never forced to pvp. You could just run, meaning you pick the circumstances.

The problem is that the BH's sought to engage in forced pvp with Jedi players, not all of which wanted to pvp. Whether the Jedi managed to elude the BH doesn't change the fact that the BH was intruding on another person's game time, and that in some cases they were an unwanted presence... the problem was that this game mechanic made forced pvp the *goal* of the BH, they did not always suceed in engaging their mark, but that is basically what the goal was, surely you can see that?

Yes but youare still picking a circumstance by running. You said forced was not picking the time, place, or circumstance, so if one of the members picks one of those then neither side is forced.

No, you are not picking the time, place, and circumstances in which you may need to thwart a possible attack.
I am now I just think its fun pointing out inconsistencies in her posts then having her backtrack on what she says. Its gotten to the point where I dont care who is right or wrong. I just like making her look like a fool.
So keep those posts coming kitty. I need some more humor in my life.
