Snoova was a Wookiee Bounty Hunter that used a Vibro Axe on his marks... now, this can happen in SWG.

I see this as a temp solution.

A lot of the things they want to do for BH will be done in the combat balance. Removing skills that are currently useless to us is a quick fix to help stop the bleeding that we are all experiencing. I doubt they can implement humanoid traps and all the other things we are asking for by friday. For crying out loud people it's going in tommorow and will be hotfixed friday. That's 2 days. It's doubtful they can do everything we ask in 2 days so this is a quick fix to help improve our combat effectiveness.

However if they REALLY want to help us out they can start by removing that weapon switch timer they just put in.

Band-aids. I swear this is Johnson & Johnson. I think the problem with the weapon switch timer is it affects every single player currently, and they cannot code it for just those with FS slots. I don't see that issue being resolved for at least 12 weeks, if ever. Funny, how truly 20/20 hindsight is. Look back at the Dev posts regarding TKM and BH being the control mechanism for FS players. Funny how the puzzle starts falling together.

Well, now that my rants are over, let me add this to the growing list of what can be done now. Re boost the payouts for FS missions. Apparently, XP loss is still tacked on even if you die and eventually clone. A nice rude awakening for any FS. You will have to clone eventually, and when you do, looky there, XP deficit. So if that works as intended, as a CSR has said, then there is absolutely 0 reason for the payouts to be so low.

Since you are freeing up points for us, like you did for FS players, why not let us choose how to spend them there points with the same nifty conversion mumbo jumbo, hmm? You say you want us FS hunt ready, ASAP...this is a way to prove it. Just an idea is all.

We are going to remove the Trapping, Hunting, and Survival Scout lines from the Bounty Hunter prerequisites.

This should give you and additional 48 skill points to add to the 33 you had left over for a total of 81 additional point to spend as you please.

I really like that!

It would also be *extremely* good if we could have a conversion feature similar to what the Jedi are going through - a one time ability to give up skills and reclaim skill points, then go ahead and put them where we want to for our build. Confirm that they're where we want, and then away we go.

Squidwalker posted the same thing earlier in the thread..

I agree too.. -they- get a free pass, why can't we? They know how to do it, they -just- did it for them.

48 points to drop in any other profession one time...

Yup /agree......why should we have to grind out those sp again just to keep us busy untill revamp?.....NOT FAIR

Nice way to appease the community. You saw a revolt happening and you do something about it. Unfortunately it shows that you have a weakness. You can do things on a moments notice. Why does it take the community screaming about something for you people to actually do some work?

On a lighter note I will now be uber pistol dude as I will be able to dabble into the smugglers tree as well. I have had 900,000 in extra pistol xp for months now. Start to grind unarmed xp I guess.

I have to agree with several other posters...without moving Jedi missions to Master you just make BH the FOTM and the dabble class.

Here is my warning and prognostication...This change will eventually eliminate Bounty Hunter as a profession class...justfor the reasonsJaveRel had stated above in his post...be careful what you ask for.

We've just become part of the latest FOTM.

I don't know about everyone else, but I liked the idea of a BH being a unique profession free (for the most part) of dabblers. While it may be a solution, it is definately not the best solution more like the easiest.

What I want to know now is what will happen to all my scout skill boxes I no longer need? Are we going to get a Jedi-like converstion into other boxes?

JustG: next step should be to move ranger tracking down to Scout or get rid of Ranger altogether. It's a useless profession, and the only useful tree in it IS Tracking. Then if any BH's wanted to, they could still get Tracking to help track bounties.

LOL yea, umm try and say that in the Ranger forum. You aren't worth your weight in MBH skill points if you don't. If you really want to get nastey about it, ATM BH is worthless too. But just like many of the professions out there ranger, and BH, need a good revamp to be worth the time and SP they require. Just because you don't like being a ranger, and would not play one, and prefer it, don't slam it. I don't really care for BH, would not be one, and have no desire to ever be one. But I actually came in here trying to help you guys out, and you slam me and my profession? Man, it's true what they say about BH.......

JustG... Thanks for the quick response... Even though I never wanted more skill points, just a fix on our profession, at least I can play my bh during the summer time now.

The timer switch on weapons hurts us a lot and the low accuracy on the LLC took a hit withtheaccuracy changes.

80 is just to low an accuracy and we don't benefit from any accuracy to the LLC from marksmanship like we do with pistols and carbines... Oh is that being changed to LLC rifle for the combat revamp?

So, please add a plus 50 to novice bh for the LLC and a plus 20 for the LLC at Master too.

In my tests today even at MBH I miss to much with the LLC, I can't imagine how bad it must be at novice bh.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!

Making MBH costs less skill points cheapens the class. Does it technically make us better? Err, yeah kinda, it allows me to get more other skills. Non-BH skills. (at theexpense ofALL other combat classes haveing more acess to BH skills). If I did not want to be a MBH but wanted to be a pistoleer, carbineer, fencer, swoardsmen, riflemen, combat medic, TKA, I would go for those skills. I want to be a MBH and seen asMBH.

If any of you MBH honestly think this is going to help the class you are crazy. All this is going to do is allow OTHER classes to pick up OUR MBH/BH skills that much easier. It will take the ability to hunt jedi and hopefully down the road other PC and make it too obtainable.

This is a band-aid fix. You are not solving the problem by fixing it, but ratherdoing what would be the easiest/quickest/least creativefix. Short run this will keep some people quiet. However now that BH0440+dable is open, I PROMISE you that some form of BH/MBH is going to quickly become FOTM.

There are two sides to every coin. Anyone suporting this idea is only looking at one side of it. Flip that dang thing over, imagine you're self as a min/maxer template type. Chances are you never looked at BH/MBH skills before. How much you wanna bet after this you will start?
