funny comment, i started on launch day andi've had a jedi since around patch 7.
i do know about force costs, tyvm, as well as saber tef and having to start as a rebel, the old jedi skill trees, patch 9 changing the professsion completely for us, patch 10 adding new unlockers, being on of the underrated mdef's pre-cu and loving it, as well as doing some nice ass kicking, the FRS, which i actually miss, cuz it was at least limited content with the fun of pvp.
your gut instincts, i'm sorry to say..... are horrid, if you are 99.99999999999999999% sure.

and as for force costs.... i'm one of the pre-cu lucky ppl with a 9FC saber.
what makes me mad is, i never run from a fight, i either win, or i die trying. and i win more often than not.
i find the skill cowardly. and even using my bh/pistoleer, with the cm heal tree, i get runners every mission, even with a snare on them, they run faster than my swoop can go. they have force run on through the entire fight (you can see the icon under their ham bar) and when they run outta force, they bolt, yet their run never runs out.

i even had a jedi tonight that told me he hit 0 force..... and continued into the negatives, up to -1000+ force. i'm guessing bug if anything, but whatever, i just give up since when i even KD a runner, they slide faster than i can chase, due to the force run, against my weapon movement hinderance.
The part in red makes your point useless.
Not everyone has to stand toe to toe with you and not use escape tactics if they choose to do so.
If running puts my opponent at a disadvantage or evens the playing field I don't see nothing wrong with it.
There are skills that can stop force run pick them up. If it doesn't fit into your template well then that's your choice.
The part in yellow however does seem like a bug or possible Exploit. However I only have FR1 so I can't really comment on the improved versions.

i'm guessing a known bug, as the csr i asked about it, said he could not comment on it atm, not that it couldn't happen. it seemed like he's heard of this before.

For a pre pub 9 jedi you don't have much of a clue...
There is no way a force running jedi is out running your swoop even if NOT snared.
My wife is master enhancer and can turn on her force run three and I can catch her in my flash speeder which is slower than a swoop... I agree running from a fight is cowardly, but purposely throwing out false information to try to get a class nerfed is sad indeed.
Get your facts straight before trolling.

well let's see, i had an electrolyte drain on my target, yet she still outpaced my swoop. does electrolyte count as a DoT these days, cuz then that could explain why it had no effect on her.
and yes, she did outpace my swoop, i've never had a runner do that before, like i said earlier, i was stunned. she ran while snared, kded and rooted, i don't know how, but she did.
and i'm not trying to get it nerfed, maybe fixed, so it actually drains force even a little while active, not just solely on activating it, which it does now.

I don't see a problem, why don't you just root the running Jedi?
If FRing was the uber escape tactic everyone seems to think why haven't the devs nerfed it already? Answer is because they put in counters to FR therefore no further nerf neeeded.
What I find funny though is FR1 is superior in PvP and the higher versions are horrible. Having to toggle those runs on and off is just plain stupid.
Here is a thought, if they would remove the damage reduction on FR2 and FR3 I can see them putting back a time limit of say 1-2 mins of running. Until they remove the damage reduction it needs to remain as is.

Considering that this DOT does work very well and not even a master enhancer can outrun a swoop (unless it's a huge slope), right...?

Why does Force Run have a damage reduction after the tier I skill but is still slower than burst run? Why is FR3 slower than a swoop with the same damage reduction? FR isn't really a very useful skill beyond the first level skill (FR1), with FR1 being slow enough to not even be the equal of parawan.
