Thread: Dev Comments at FanFest Regarding BH/Jedi Missions My Response

Tanks - Another problem with marks' name beign anonymous is BH's may not want to hunt their close friends, butthey will get their friends' missions by accident now and again when this happens. Solution: No hunt list (if missions become anonymous, we'd need a small list for which bounties will not show to us on the terminals, as we can't determine which missions may be on our friends).

That's just an idea though, as there's so many politics involved with hunting a friend or guild-mate. It might also help block out known faction Jedi.

Instead of all these changes, why dont we just fix the existing problems? There are only a few problems that Jedi and BH can agree on that need to be fixed anyway. So why dont we start with those?

The TEF, and Mobile Home issue. Offer Ride. And Kashyyk.

The TEF issue: The DEVs are currently trying to fix this, so this wont be a problem for toomuch longer anyway.

Mobile Homes: I myself think Mobile Homes are cheesy. But I do feel that Jedi need some sort of an escape plan. A 50k Paddy is just no match for a MBH/???. However Jedi of all levels know the risk of getting put on the terminals when they Power Grind. So I suggest safe houses have to be a declared residence. It still gives the Jedi his safe house, although at somewhat of a cost. And with this, you wont have just one person in that particular grinding area placing a single house and just adding his grinding buddies to the list. They'll all have to place thier own safe house, and declare residence in thier own. Sure it will look like small cities springing up all over the place, but again...Jedi of all levels know the risk of power grinding, and this could help both sides..

Offer Ride: Simply add the same TEF to the offer ride issue. Once a Jedi engages in battle against a BH, he cannot accept a ride. Most Jedi are having Force Run that can outrun a Swoop anyway, and with Cloak they should be able to get out of a sticky situation any way.

Kashyyk: Not as big of a problem as it once was. The Jedi grinding spots are getting known now even though droids do not work there. Placing a Terminal or an Informant on Kash really isnt going to make that much of a difference. So all thats really left is the LOS problem on the Webweaver trails, wich is currently trying to be fixed by the DEVs anyway. I personally dont hunt on Kashyyk, not because of the droids or the Jedi, but Because I simply HATE that planet. Im my opinion, its NOTHING like SWG. I think the DEVs stole it from an EQ style game and altered it to work in SWG. It doesnt fit in SWG. And it doesnt belong in SWG.

Let's face it...as of "right now" a fully templated Jedi might care less about negative XP. Is this how you "pay dearly"? Because it's the ONLY thing you lose from a BH death.

Most of the Jedi class now is a bunch of spoiled brats that need jerked up and there asses busted with a hickery limb..

Scrap the 1v1 Idea and bring back the sabor TEF for MBHs

1. Limit the Terms to Jedi 150k and Higher - Groups of upto 5 BHs allowed to hunt w/o the need for all 5 to have the same mission.

2. Bring back the Sabor TEF for ALL Jedi (MBH attackable)

If there's no difference, why is playing "fun" and grinding almost a dirty word? Playing you is when you're doing what you want when you want. Grinding is sacrificing playing for gaining a goal and chasing down experience (and/or faction) for that goal, foregoing what is fun for what is productive.

Yes and Jedi players apparently sacrifice so much by "grinding" on the rryatt trail on Kashyykk where they can take one step and be invulnerable.

Jedi sacrifice so much by "grinding" standingon the door step of a houseattacking lairs where they can take one step and be invulnerable.

Considering there are some of us that do neither, you just proved you can't add intelligentlytothe conversation.

Considering the ones that do not take the easy way out are in the minority proves that you cannot ignore the ones that do. If you want to talk about sacrifice lets talk about how we all have to sacrifice the game to cheating and exploiting Jedi because Leatherneck_of_Alderaan chose not to exploit when he grinded his Jedi.

Until the easy path where Jedi can grind invulnerable to PvP and PvE death is resolved your arguement of how difficult your Jedi grind was is irrelevant.
