I too am having problems with deciding a template there is just so many out there.

I'm asking all the old-school jedi for some thoughts on the template I'm looking at.
Master Lightsaber
Defense 4004
Enhancements 0044
Healing 3200
What strengths should I improve upon? What weaknesses (besides lack of force run) should I expect?

I am looking for a good PvP template, I am torn between 2 different ones, any help would be great
#1: Master TKA/Master Fencer/Pistoleer 1-0-4-0/Scout 3-0-0-0/Marksman 0-4-0-1
#2: Master TKA/Master Rifleman/Fencer 1-0-0-0/Scout 3-0-0-0/Marksman 4-0-0-1/ 15 sp left over
any constructive help would be appreciated, and any thoughts on the extra 15 sp usage, if option #2 is the way to go

Give it more than a couple hours, sheesh. This forum doesn't get all that much traffic.
If you pick template #2 get novice medic. No question. Novice medic will let you use Stim Bs which are decent for healing damage.
Both templates are fine, the first has better defense and the second has better offensive versatility from rifleman. I question the scout skills, that's a lot of points for some terrain negotiation, weak mask scent, and poor harvesting skills but if you really want those abilities go for it.

hye guys,well since im tired of grinding and still waiting for our long waited revamp i was thinking of spending some time to change my template to be able to do a little better in PVP.
here goes guys,i never seen anything like this so maybe it sux big time or its a stroke of a genuis(bah prob be the first,LoL):
-MASTER SMUGGLER
-MASTER FENCER
-TK 4000
-PISTOLEER 0403
????????

I've tried that, but I ditched TK 4000 for novice medic and never regretted it. Few enemies let you sit down and med while in PVP to make remove poison/disease very useful and FOW... well I'd rather not die to begin with. You know?

I'd have to look over the defense stats on this one, but I personally like going up oooX Tk for the defenses rather then Xooo for meditiation.
Then again I usually have some amount of medic in my templates anyway on top of that so not sure how I'd run the template above.

Heh depends on the stun batons you have access to... It takes a pre-nerf acklay though or some obscene loot drop from the tuskens.

well when fencers attack me I'm wearing 38% stun composite with a 44% stun PSG. that renders even the uberest ackley stun baton of 1337ness useless

In that scenario you would render just about anything useless against you. Save Combat Medics.

Things like this make me laugh and giggle though when I think of the combat balance coming up
