Never had that problem at all. I could understand with Nightsisters or something of that caliber, but anything below that, even the novice force users on Dant, werent a problem. Like I said before, I could fight mokks unbuffed in padded armor as long as my pets attacked first.

Not true at all, I sell a ton of mounts made out of kreetle DNA, sure its not gonna get me rich but did you ever think that maybe the devs would rather people (who arent CH's) had droids than pets.
Droids are undoubtedly more 'starwarsy' than pets.
IMO if you want a pet for anything more than 'fluff' or a cheap ride then be a CH. When the Droid Commander profession comes into the game then I'm sure the power of nonCH droids will be rebalanced.

If you dont want your crafters apron to decay dont carry it around with you, leave it at home where you need it.
Fixed is not the same as nerfed. A nerf is to take something that deemed to powerful and lessen its power - that is not the same as taking a problem system that can be exploited to create abominations of nature and fixing it so that it works in the way that it was intended
I thought we were supposed to be able to create abominations and freaks of nature. Just wish a decision would be made where we can have semi powerful pets with near 3 to 4k HAM or just make em weak so they are only worthy as mounts like 500 HAM with no resists. One thing I truely hope for is that we can get some SEAs so we can be 12 pointers like weaponsmiths, armorsmiths, and droid engineers.

Well thanx to an idea spawned by GMANHNC, here is everyones opportunity to post what they feel a "legal" CL 10 bio pet should look like. I will post a link to this ( or try to anyway ) on the CH forums so that they can get into the action also. Maybe we can come to a happy medium and submit the ideas up the chain. Can't hurt to try eh?
Here is my rough idea.
CL 10 (Max)
H- 8000
A- 3000
M- 2000
no armor
resistancesup to 50
dmg capped at 100
all specials and ranged allowed
Again this is just my rough idea bassed upon some of the lower end "uber" pets I have made myself. They may still seem a bit overpowered to some of you, and that is fine. Please post what you would think they should look like. Please do not flame other posters ideas, there are plenty of other threads to do that on. Thank you all for participating

That 10k HAM non CH pet is no comparisson to any CL 70 on the market. They have no armour for starters. The resistances are nnext to nil. And the health is the only thing you will ever see at 10k; the Action and mind are considerably lower.
Most CL70 that I have seen made average around 12-13k in all 3 HAM stats. Light armour. And 60% in kin and energy at a minimum. Or close to that.
Either way there is no way any CL10 could ever match up to a MCH pet. I dont agree with a 10k stat on a nonCH pet either, but 6k health, 3k action, 1.5 k mind should not be too much of a stretch for a good pet. I mean you can get that with a good standard VD+HP combine.
