I really, really need to see the Dev's opinion on what is a bounty hunter. Without our base to built upon, all other things (moving jedi missions to master, increasing LLC accuracy, diversity in BH Missions, etc) don't make much sense and can hurt us in the longer run.
Maybe I'm just being too theoretical. I guess my question becomes this, and I asked TH this before sans reply - "Are we hunters of (thus having the power to defeat) all other players, including Jedi - or are we just the villianous cannon fodder of the movies?"
That's what I want answered.

I insist that our primary role is to hunt Jedi because at this point in the game....IT IS! If you went MBH for the npc missions or to pve then...well...uhh....whatever. There is only one form of content for MBH....jedi. Now, if the devs are planning to add player bounties, then they already know that and they can disregard a jedi specific tailoring for bh. But that hasn't been communicated to us at this point, so I sayhelp make us as we are now, the best that we can be for the tasks we have to do.

I like this, we could have a take alive mark and the we would have to incap the person then throw a special trap on them and we get an icon in our inventory that is someone froze in carbonite or something.
then we would have to take that icon and give it to an npc in a cantina or anywhere we got the mission from.
You guys have pretty much covered all that I have concerns with.
Does jedi not stay off the boards by logging off and on?
I have some on my friends list and they log off and on about every 5-10 mins
we need higher payout for master missions
I think at master we sould be able to hunt NPC jedi.
also only masters should be able to hunt jedi.
Ham cost is insane.
LLC is a joke PvP
we need a cold damage MBH only carbine with a Freeze DOT that does the same thing as fire.
Much higher payout for masters
and also dont forget the broke missions.
We need to be as powerfull as the Skill points we spend
Last thing, we should be able to solo jedi, if not why do they not make us group, like the other mission terminals do for the high level missions.
This is just dreaming but MBH should have a jetpack and be able to burst fly.
2. Change specials on LLC to work from 50-67m. Good grief we have pistols already.
3. BH only carbine. Stun damage. Certify in investigation tree (3 or 4) to prevent dabblers.
4. Master BH only Mandalorian armor.
5. Fix HAM costs on carbines, and give us more accuracy across the board on all weapons.

I bought this game to be a bounty hunter. You couldn't GIVE me a Jedi character.
Thoughts on Bounty Hunter
Next to Jedi, Bounty Hunters are supposed to be the most feared profession in the Star Wars universe. In game, this is hardly the case. They effectively and efficiently track down and kill or capture their mark. They are generally loners, and don't play nice with others. We are master marksman after all. I don't expect as much as a profession like carbineer/rifleman/pistoleer, who is limited to 1 weapon type. However, should we chose to spend what few remaining points we have left in one of those professions, our attacks should get an additional bonus w/ that weapon type since it would increase specialization.
PVP
There needs to be an npc/pc trap that immobilizes/kd/or has some sort of def lowering effect on targets. To my knowledge, there are no creature bounties...so the current traps are useless. Bounty Hunters should excel at 1 vs 1 PVP. This is an elite profession supposedly specializing in this very subject. Any template goon can easily kill me in PVP because I simply just can't hit them. We need more mods to accuracy and accuracy while moving especially. Since we have about as much defense as a novice artisan, our offensive attacks should be nearly devastating. I don't want to 1 or 2 shot kill anyone and be uber, but status effects like bleed, fire, kd, etc should stick a lot more than they do and be more damaging. We shouldn't give any bonus to being in a group because of the nature of being a Bounty Hunter, thus giving us no real advantage in multiple target situations.

The Jedi logout exploit (and it IS an exploit) needs to be fixed. This is the only player target available to us and it needs to work properly. I would like to see the Death Mark system implemented, especially on the Jabba theme park. I think most BH have comepleted this quest just for the RP value alone. Players should be notified that there is a price on their head, it would make it even better. I also like the option of being able to keep my faction affiliation and also being affiliated with a bounty hunter's guild. We should also have some sort of mark tracking system listing confirmed kills in our bio. I think an "Offer Bounty" option would be nice in the trade window. Give players the option to offer up bounties on other players.
Equipment
Mandalorian armor...please. It should be Bounty Hunter specific and any master armorsmith should be able to make it in custom colors. The armor would ideally have high energy/blastand especially restraint/stun resistance. We should also have a unique carbine. Something medium range/damage/speed that does stun damage. I mentioned the npc/pc trap earlier, but it's worth mentioning again here. This is what we do, trap and capture/kill humanoids. It's the very definition of a Bounty Hunter.
Final Thoughts
I think the devs would agree that we're a hardcore bunch. Jedi are Jedi because they want to look cool. Most other professions are done because of templates, dabbling, or hologrinding. If you're a Bounty Hunter, chances are you really don't want to do anything else. Requiring mastery of 3 professions should mean something. Give us the tools and abilities that reflect that.
