Waste of time/life for you you mean? Seems like you consumed it like a horde of locusts and didn't take the time to enjoy any of it.

Gotta do whats fun for you. Your friend isnt the one paying $15 a month for the game. Besides if you arent having fun, well you wont be paying $15 a month either. So keep that in mind.

I don't roleplay I pvp. And Since I thought jedi would be good in pvp I became one. Well, it is a waste of time. For me at least. Thank darwin for WOW. Man that game is fun.

I notice many people putting words into my mouth. I never said Jedi can't do anything else except PvP. Here is what I said:
1. Jedi profession/class is a PvP one
2.Jedi profession/class becomes a forced PvP one, once on the BH terminals
I never said one should not roleplay their Jedi, or one must PvP at all times. I'm just asking why someone would want to go through the hard work, grinding their Jedi to Knight, only to PvE in the end. I mean, if you want PvE, stick to any of the combat professions lol. This is just my opinion of course. I see this generation of new and up and coming Jedi try to avoid PvP more and more. And ask for things like the ability to hunt with their friends without generating visibility so they can be immune to being hunted. More and more Carebear Jedi are popping up, trying to play in a 'soft' way. Well, the Jedi profession is not a 'soft' one. Its 'hard' and often times it gets dangerous/bloody.

by saying that "jedi profession/class is a pvp one" you are implying that the main reason to be a jedi is to pvp. But that is not true. You can be jedi for other reasons knowing that you will have to occasionally pvp.

He is saying that if you are a jedi you are forced into Pvp and you can do nothing about it.

It is a watse of time either way. I'm a fencer/doc and I have killed every type of jedi there is. I'm a jedi knight too, master ls/master enhance/4/0/0/4 force healing. It is a watse of time/life grinding jedi. I realized this when I wnet out pvping and nearly got owned by a tkm. *thank you force run 3*
you're a knight and you unlocked 10/17/04?
Isnt it funny to see stuff like this Ober and then hear everyone saying that BH hunting etc are too harsh? I know of others who have reached knight under the new system quite rapidly as well....and some never even being hit for xp loss by BH because they used bugs like the login/logout to get around it...unfortunately by the time it was fixed, they had most of thier skills.
Please dont take my quote and what I said having anything to do with Pike....I was just using the time it took him to complete...I dont know him and am not making any assumtions about him personally or how he did it. Im just referring to the system that has been put in place for the jedi players.

i agree with the original poster, i've had my template done for ages now, im not becoming a knight either because imho ...
the frs is stupid ... the perma overt is (yes you've guessed it) stupid, in fact the whols system is completely borked and retarded
i like being able to declare when i want to PvP and undeclare for when i don't ... being able to be attacked by everyone who's overt is really (you guessed it again) stupid. i support the idea of jedi factions and being able to be attacked by opposing jedi at will (there's a post about it somewhere in this forum)... to me this makes more sense
so, im gonna continue to not be a knight ...
also i don't believe the end-game for a jedi is or should be necessarily PvP ... i like helping people out in quests and hunts and whatever .... this kind of thing is not supported or rewarded by the system at this stage, maybe it could be ... jedi should be able to be more than just killers and asassins

I dont know if I just didnt read, or didnt pay attention but something's been bugging me...
I try and make a PH using a 35-39 -0.608 spd geo core, and *never* (I did this a few times) come out with an even close to sellable PH. I usually get moderate exps and end up with like a 136-404 6.3spd PH. Now then, when I use an advanced core (41-41 -0.45 spd)with the same resources in the PH, I get a 127-466 5.3 spd PH. This I can at least sell with hopes of a good slice, but the geo equiv with a better core is utter trash. Now am I screwing up, or are geo cores just worthless? o.-
Edit: Messed up the stats on the geo core

The moderate EXP's come from using loot components, usually with loots, your chance at moderates are higher.
Take a look at the core you are using and compare with your crafted core. You are using a core with less damage, and just a tad speed bonus, it should come out about the same DPS but usually GEO cores have some nice range mods (some over 30) which make them worthwhile. Your moderate successes are making the weapon worthless, not the core you are using.

True, but I think I should be seeing more of a difference. I know that the loots cause more moderates... which sucks, because it seems all I get is moderate or lower with loots. It seems I dont fail unless I use a loot lol. Doesnt this kind of strike you odd? Oh well, I guess I'll quit whining and go back to crafting. Thanks

This happens to me all the time. I've started using port and dumping in 3-4 points at a time when making these...does wonders.
