Ok, working on a primarily RP template(I mention that to avoid the "lack of defense" aspect of this template) for an alt that is supposed to be a Stormtrooper Animal Handler... kind of like a Police Dag Handler in theory.

Anyway, this is what I have planned out:

Master Marksman
Scout 4/0/4/0
BH 0/4/0/0
Master Creature Handler
Carbineer 4/4/0/3

My question is is that a good use of my remaining points for carbine?

this gives me 170 accuracy and 105 speed, as well as the full auto area 2 special.

Is this a good spread for the points, or would someone recommend something else?

Thanks,

J.D.

I would probably go 4/4/3/0 carbineer for burstshot 1 & 2.

Ok, so in designing my new template, I want to be able to do some PVP, as well as take down things that have medium and heavy armor. Can anyone give me their opinions on these templates?

Master Rifles, TK 3000, Master Commando

Master Rifles, TK 4003, Commando 0444

What do you all think of these two combos?

If want to be PvPing or taking down stuff with med/heavy armor, I would advise against taking commando. You'd be better off with other professions. If you really insist on going commando, just go with 0040. That way you can very slowly burn things* to ashes.

*assuming the things have med/heavy armor.

Not useless, just inferior in most ways. Even the flamethrower is pretty weak against mobs with tough armor, as the flamer is has zero armor piercing.

If you are going to do melee I would do TKM for the ability to meditate and clear disease and poison. Personally I never understood the desire to run up to something big and nasty so it could hit you. I use MCH and MRM so the pet takes the hits and I stand back and do the killing

I used to be a Master Rifleman but switched to Teras Kasi a few months ago and have been glad ever since. As a TKM, I am very powerfull and I can cure myself of everything and heal all my wounds. It's a great combat skill because I don't have to worry about it when a bull rancor diseases me. I also went ahead and mastered Scout to open up Ranger. I was able to get Tracking3 to use up all my skill points. This template works great for me and I have no plans right now to change it.

Oh, come on now Lyte, there's nothing more thrilling than holding that heavy power hammer in your hands and running up with your GW and GSP along side you and swinging around and hammering that poor Graul Mauler smack in the top of the head!

Now, this is the templet I'm using.

Master Swordsman; Master Creature Handler; Scout 4141, Brawler 4040 and TKA 4004. I have absolutly no healing to that's fun. But you really don't need healing for most stuff when you are buffed and Rancors ain't really nothing when I got my meditation 4

Not as much fun as walking up to something the size of a Rancor or larger and knocking it off it's feet in one hitand beating it with brass knuckles while it is down. lol Hey, is that "Starwarsie" enough for you? lol It is even funnier when you toon barely makes it up to the things ankle.

I am starting to work on swordsman and I would like to get some advice about the best way to advance my template. Anyone got any suggestions?
